I'd say the worst part about the site is often the reviewers either bias in the positive or negative direction it makes it hard to know if something you're getting is garbage or not.

Other problem is selling on their site they tend to take a large percentage making a lot of sellers charge extra. That may sound like a non-buyer complaint till you're forced to buy from a wide array of sellers with prices far too high."

"Avoid Amazon.com!! They are now just a fake storefront for other web sellers and are loaded with crooked sellers that rip you off. Amazon states that they offer safety for purchases because they offer their own amazon A to Z protection if a seller doesn't deliver product as advertised. I tried this after a horrible experience with amazon making a purchase through amazon.com and amazon does not really accept or honor these claims as advertised. Avoid amazon at all costs. Amazon.com just hides behind their big website and do not really offer any real guarantee that their site is secure or that you won't be ripped off. Amazon.com is haven for crooked ripoff sellers in their marketplace. "

"Amazon is NOT a quality shipping company.
I enjoy acceptable service from amazon and their 3rd party vendors (when I buy CD's) often the jewel cases get cracked; but I tried to buy computer parts this time because they were several dollars cheaper than Newegg and usually ship amazon fast. I selected the items I wanted and amazon told me in the cart that one item would be shipped separately so I deleted it and found a different one so that all would come from Amazon itself and not any vendor or outside warehouses -- the cart said all would ship together. Well they didn't. They sent three packages by 2 different shipping companies and one is still not here. Newegg would have had all the stuff delivered by the 3rd or forth day even if it came from different distribution locations. The box that this computer Case came in was not packed securely by the "Amazon box stuffers" and it arrived damaged. I guess that amazon will just have to phase out all the physical products and fulfillment crap and just stick to the cloud and electronic delivery of music and books. Amazon is NOT a quality shipping company."

"Horrible, Do not buy anything from amazon. They have terrible vendors on their website, and when these vendors rip you off or send you the wrong item(which is what happened to me) they just blow you off. I have been just trying to return an item bought off Amazon from one of their vendors with a perfect rating and after a weeks still have not received my return shipping labels via email. I call this company each day and they just put me on hold never to pick up again. I have contacted Amazon, and they do nothing about their thief vendor. This never has happened with google checkout or Paypal. Paypal is the best, they will actually take the money back via credit card and give back to you if they have an unwilling vendor. Do not Trust Amazon. "
