"My husband and I have ordered many, many items from Amazon.com and have been pleased with every order. The latest was for Rayban sunglasses as a gift. After researching, we found Amazon was the least expensive for the pair we wanted to purchase. We submitted the order and was pleased at the fast delivery to the door of the gift recipient. We would recommend Amazon.com to anyone."
"The UPS delivery time was one day earlier than the day estimated by Amazon, on a day where I might have missed the package. The purchase was processed Friday evening. When I checked on Saturday morning, the UPS hotline was not open on the weekends and Monday was the UPS scheduled delivery. As Amazon did not choose the signature option with the delivery, UPS from dropped the package on the porch a few meters to the side of the front door where it was left unattended for over an hour. UPS told me it should have been dropped in front of the door and a supervisor would reprimand the courier about this.
Amazon should also inform customers they do not request signature option from UPS when the user is choosing the shipping options and alert them that they have the option of having the package delivered to the nearest UPS store (my local UPS store told me they will charge a $5 fee for this "redirection" service when you pick up the package and this is the same price as the signature option). When I called UPS on the Monday morning, they failed to inform me of this option and instead I was mistakenly told there would be a second delivery attempt if they missed me and I could schedule a smaller delivery window for the second attempt. The hotline rep also incorrectly told me that the courier might call my phone number which was on the shipping label. I learned this was incorrect from a subsequent call from UPS (I emailed them on the UPS website). If Amazon requested the signature option, the package would be delivered to the nearest UPS store if they miss you and you can pick it up without any additional charges. It is not secure for packages to be left outside buildings (and not even at the front door in my case). A stolen package is worthless.
If you are in a similar scenario with the delivery and are unable to change the delivery location in time, note that UPS told me they usually deliver the express packages by noon. Mine was dropped off around 12:30 pm even though the tracking page on the UPS website said "By End of Day" for the estimated delivery time and the UPS rep I spoke too on Monday morning said she could not give me a more specific time. I requested the 'Priority International Courier' option from Amazon and the UPS tracking page said it was shipped by 'UPS Worldwide Saver' (which would be an 'express' option). When I bought the same shoes in 2010 from Shoebuy.com, they requested the signature option from the DHL courier (and COD) so the courier contacted me so he could get my signature.
It would have been helpful to have calculation for the cost in terms of other currency. When the total was converted it to Canadian dollars using the exchange rate from the Bank of Canada, it was $3.33 less than what Amazon billed to my credit card. There was no cost break down showing the cost in the currency of the credit card and what were the additional costs for billing to a credit card with a foreign currency.
I felt the shoes were reasonably priced but the price of the shoes (in the color and size that I chose) went up by $94.32 after my order was processed as this model of shoe (Allrounder First) is no longer being manufactured.

"Frequent customer of Amazon.com. I bought at least 30 products from them within 2 years. Their site is easily manageable to find the product you want (if they have it). Never had to exchange or had an RMA. I strongly recommend Amazon.com. "
"I rarely write reviews, anywhere, but Amazon has finally done something that I cannot let slide. A brief history of my time with Amazon.com: I easily spend $3-4000 there every year and have been doing so for many years. I'm an Amazon Prime member because I like free 2nd day shipping. Returns are fairly easy as well. Now, on to my issue. It is regarding Amazon's trade-in program. I recently purchased a new iPad and read decent reviews about Amazon's trade-in program, so I thought I would try it. It seemed a lot less painful that using eBay. I do use eBay but the trade-in program was ridiculously easy. I'm starting to understand why now. My original iPad was purchased brand new, from Apple.com in April 2010. When it arrived, I opened it using my nitrile gloves and immediately installed a screen protector and rear case plastic protector. Then, on top of the rear plastic, I put on my hard plastic case. When I removed all the protective covers, to send it to Amazon, it looked exactly like it did when I opened the Apple box in 2010. It was in mint physical and operational condition. It even shocked me a little. So, I felt 100% confident to request the most for this trade-in. It looks brand new, why wouldn't I want top dollar. So I send it in, in the original Apple iPad box and Apple shipping box. It had all original accessories and documentation. So, I check my email today and was notified that they are returning it to me because of "minor scratches". I beg to differ heavily on that! This iPad rarely left my room, much less experience anything to add wear and tear to it. So, I was thanking my stars that I clicked on the "return" button when it asked me if I wanted the lower value they offer or if I wanted it back. I want it back! I'm not getting low-balled and screwed out of $50.00 because Amazon hasn't seen an iPad in mint condition. I would be willing to bet good money that they have never issued the maximum dollar amount for pretty much anything that wasn't factory sealed. So, now I am off to start sourcing my goods elsewhere. I cannot trust a company that is this blatantly fraudulent. Instead of using my Amazon app and enjoying prime, I'll vote with my wallet and use google to find the same products elsewhere. They'll lose more than the $50.00 they should have given me on an obviously perfect trade-in. My advice to anyone considering using their trade-in program, know your product and opt to have it sent back because amazon will offer you the lowest price no matter what the condition. Don't sacrifice money for convenience. I'll be putting this baby on eBay and taking my chances. Good luck to everyone else."
"Bought Photoshop 10 Elements from Amazon, as it was the cheapest price I could find. Also got it in two days with prime shipping. I have ordered from Amazon multiple times using prime and have not had any issues so far. Will continue shopping here."
"Do not purchase from Amazon. I can't even express how disappointed I am with their service. I have a prime account and have used it to place many orders in the past, but their automotive section is clearly beta. I specifically always selected items sold by Amazon directly, not any of the other merchants listes, so that I could take advantage of the Prime shipping. Let me tell you, not only is Amazon late in shipping anything automotive, they always ship the wrong part, as their vehicle selection is all wrong. After 3 orders in a row like this, I had to cancel my Prime account."
"One of the best sites on line. It's amazing you can order anything and most of the time you can get it delivered the next day truly brilliant."
"I am writing this according to my new item's problem. This is not my first time buying from Amazon. This also is not my first time receiving products which are damaged. However, there is NOT a single time Amazon let me down with their customer service. They solved my problem very quickly with appropriate solutions. Honestly, they made me feel that when buying a product packaged in a box with Amazon's logo, my after-sale service satisfaction are guaranteed. Highly recommended retailer. "
"Ordered a Monitor Arm and Bracket for my Samsung monitor on 3/5. They sent out the arm right away and the bracket was supposed to be sent in 2-3 weeks. I noticed other places going out of stock on the bracket so I emailed amazon making sure they were going to send it or else I was going to order it from somewhere else.
They assured me not to worry(it was a template email, but I foolishly believed them). 3/28 rolls around and they cancel my order saying can't get the bracket now and pretty much tell me too bad. All the other sites are now OOS on the bracket.
So i have an arm and no way to attach it to my monitor because they couldn't simply look into the matter for me when I emailed them.
They then proceed to tell me to buy it from a third party seller on their site for 3 times as much.
Amazon has a nice site, but their Customer Service is useless and uninformed and they really don't care about you, just your money.

"I love Amazon...They have the largest selection of goods on the planet and they deliver free of charge when you sign up for their service."
"I've been using Amazon Prime for the past couple years because my son got a free student subscription. I've become a believer. I now order enough stuff from Amazon regularly to make it completely worth the price. Their prices tend to be the best or at least the same as other sites online. I've had a return a couple items over the years and that's always been a really smooth process. All in all it's been a rock solid go-to site for me and has delivered beyond my expectations. "
"I love Amazon! Best buying experience ever and fast shipping"
"Ordered a Kindle, but had to return it shortly after receiving the package. The overall process took a while, but mainly because of the return shipping time. I dealt with several representatives and each one was very helpful and knowledgeable. Notes were kept on my order so I did not need to keep repeating and explaining the issue. "
"I use to use Amazon often. Recently, I order my parents a phone. Amazon cancelled the order without contacting me. They decided someone stole my credit card.... fine. I reorder the phone for my parents. The second phone was paid for and shipped very fast no problem. Amazon had charged my card for the cancelled order. They didn't just cancel it, they deleted it entirely so none of the customer service agents could even find it. After a month of phone calls and arguing I finally got a refund and was told to keep the second phone. Can't return something that there is no record of shipping. HORRIBLE experience."
"Longtime Amazon Prime Member. Love their selection and overnight shipping. Customer Service has definitely taken a hit in recent months."
