"90% happy, would buy again, and have referred friends.
First, the 10% of unhappiness. The small dowel-like pegs are a joke. Most were broken upon arrival, and most of the rest didn’t go into the holes too easily (some were crooked, which means the holes were drilled at an angle). The dowels hold the platform in place, and after 1 month, it hasn’t shifted or caused any problems other than with the initial setup.
Secondly, the plastic corners are not the best. One corner was visibly off (almost twisted) which made it difficult to attach. The other three corners went in easily.
Now the 90%. This bed is comfortable. It is our second memory foam type bed, and this one is on a different level. It doesn’t give the “stuck” feeling when rolling over or moving; it rebounds a lot quicker. I am about 6’1” and 230 lbs, after one month, the bed now feels broke-in in a great way.
The bed had only a very short “gassing-off” time...virtually no time at all. I mean, it smelled new for a bit, not a bad thing, right?
I would recommend this to just about everyone. The changes I would make: If dowels are going to keep being used, ship them loose Don’t glue them in or set them in place because we had broken ones. Perhaps drill the hole all the way through the boards so the customer can push longer dowels through the top.
QA/QC should have caught the twisted plastic corner, and perhaps the fabric covering up the holes for some of the dowels.
