"I was given helpful information when I called with questions about picking the right mattress. Once ordered the bed arrived in an amazingly small box in a very short time. I was mildly concerned our first night on the new mattress as it seemed a bit more firm than I had expected/wanted. Again I called and it was explained to me that the mattress would continue it expand for a whole month once it was “released” from it's packaging. It has been three weeks now and the bed continues to subtly relax. Both my husband and I are happy campers."

"The order process was easy, and the mattress arrived a day earlier than projected, which was a nice surprise. It was easy to unpack and position on the box spring. There was absolutely no odor at all, none, and I am a super sensitive smeller. At this point, I was at 5 stars. The foam was pretty comfortable, but a little firmer than I had hoped, but I also knew it might give a little over time. I ordered the AS3 because I'm a side sleeper, and my husband is a back sleeper, so I thought it was a good compromise. After 2 weeks of sleeping on it, my shoulder was killing me. It never gave in or softened up, and I noticed that I hurt more every day. I waited the 30 days and called to let them know I would not be keeping the mattress. Customer service was polite and told me they would email with instructions. The email came within about 5 minutes of my phone call, so I followed their instructions to remove the warranty tag before it was picked up. This is where I began removing stars from the rating not based on the mattress itself. Because I live in a small town, I was told that I could find somewhere to donate it myself. Therefore, I had to call around and coordinate a pick up on my own while the mattress sat in my foyer. I replied to the email several times with no response, called again and was told I could donate it to any charitable organization and send a picture of the donation receipt. That same day my bank called that my credit card had been compromised for over $2000, and Amerisleep was the only place I'd used my card in the last 6 weeks. I've sent the picture of the donation receipt but have not heard back yet or been refunded for the mattress, though I know that can take several business days. So the mattress itself is a good product if you are fortunate enough to make the right choice of firmness, but the other factors have caused me to rate the company lower. "

"After 5 weeks the Amerisleep A3 has helped reduce a chronic lumbar ache. Previously I used a Casper mattress for 3 months and, while comfortable, it didn't help as much with the back ache. So far I've used the A3 only during winter months and a concern is that it seems to retain heat more than the Casper. Come summer I'll be able to find out if it makes me feel too hot.
The A3 is a thick mattress measuring 12". Unlike the Casper, the Amerisleep sinks all the way down if I sit on an edge. Away from the edges the mattress recovers quickly if I apply weight to it."

"We purchased the A4 and it was too firm for us. We called Amerisleep and they sent us the A3 with absolutely no issues. They weren't able to come pick up the mattress in our area, so we get to donate it to a local family in need. Very impressed with the quality and customer service. My husband and I were just talking about how quickly we fall asleep with our new mattress. I would recommend to others! "

"My husband and I bought into the fad and purchased a sleep number mattress first. Worst impulse purchase ever! Literally like sleeping on an air mattress. This lead to us deciding to do more online research so that we could make a more informed decision. We read a lot of reviews and stumbled upon amerisleep. We went with the AS5 and are OBSESSED! We sleep like babies! Most comfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on. My husband was kind of anti foam but I convinced him to give the AS5 a try and now he is all in! The best part is that it is the most expensive amerisleep model, but was about HALF the price of the sleep number. Recommended all the way!"
