"The good. The latch I needed to open the dryer door from the left side was in stock. They shipped the correct part. The latch ( a two ounce piece of plastic with a metal clip inside) cost a little under $7. Nice margin on a part that cost maybe 50 cents to make, if that.
The bad. The cost to ship the two once part was $11 via USPS. A bit excessive don't you think?
The company handling GE parts offered to give me 10% off the price of my part. A whopping 69 cents. I understand companies need to make money, but it should be a fair profit, not robbery. It is the principle that raises my hackles, not so much the money.

"I ordered a Maytag dishwasher door latch replacement on Super Bowl Sunday knowing AppliancePartsPros was closed, but just thought I would get it ordered for when they opened Monday. I got a phone call about an hour later asking if I realized I had already ordered that part. Actually, I had ordered and installed one for my mother-in-law's 30 year old Whirpool, but later found that our 17 year old Maytag door latch also needed replacement. Coincidentally they were the same part number. The representative found my story amusing, I think, and said the part would go out the next day. It shipped Monday, was delivered Tuesday and was installed in less than 15 minutes. Had I known the two dishwashers used the same part and that we need one for ours I could have ordered both and saved some shipping. My bad. We are very satisfied with AppliancePartsPros."
