"Ordered a touchpad control panel to my Whirlpool Range on July 23rd and charged the part to my AMEX. Got an invoice and email confirmation for my order with a price including shipping for $141.94. On July 28th, I got an email that they had a pricing error (price now up to $199.89) and asked for permission to bang my credit card for an additional $62.90. My reply was that I had already paid for an item in full and had a receipt with an agreed upon price. Recommended business to honor their advertised price in order to show good faith. Got email response that they cancelled my order. They need to get their act together. I would not recommend this business to anyone. This business could very well be dishonest and at the bare minimum appear VERY disorganized. What internet business is not familiar with their own pricing? I saw another posting similar to my same problem. I would not use them again."

"The price for a Jenn-Aire Radiant Cartridge (burner for electric stove) at Appliance Zone was about 10% less than the next lowest price, but I was concerned about the negative reviews.

I gave it a try and communicated online with Brent who indicated that the Cartridge would be shipped out the same day. I received it as promised and ordered a second and matching cartridge. The delivery time for the second one was longer because I used a credit card instead of pay pal, but it was only an additional 3 days.

Based on my experience, I give them two thumbs up for service and delivering on their promise.

"Ordered item based listed as "OEM: FRIGIDAIRE" and actual Frigidaire part number.
What I received was a homemade universal rectifier that technically would work, but was not the correct part. I ordered the part based on OEM manufacturer and part # so that I knew exactly what I was getting. Too bad they just used that info to sell a junk part.
If I just wanted something that "would work" I would have gone to Radio Shack, bought a diode, and soldered it into the old rectifier wire. No, I wanted the CORRECT part, and based on their description of it with the exact correct part number and manufacturer, I assumed that's what I would get.
So yeah the part would work, but instead of a 2.5" rectifier wire, it has a one-size-fits-all 16" long rectifier wire. There really isn't even enough room in the unit to stuff all the extra wire. But technically it "would work".
SO, the cost for this awesome piece of work? $30 shipped. Small price to pay for the correct part, I figured.... too bad it isn't what they shipped.
In the end I ordered the part locally for $11. Took half a day to get.
I have tried numerous times to deal with these people, but they simply do not negotiate at all.
They send you to dummy webpages that pretend to "remedy" the problem with your order, but they all just end with "double check your invoice, maybe you read it wrong" or "call an agent".
AWESOME... oh wait, yeah they still won't give out a phone number.
Your only options are emails, which the reponses get all but offensive if you are lucky enough to get anything other than the aforementioned dummy redirect webpage helpers. Or you can always use the "Chat Online" feature where no matter what you ask they have a relatively automated response that barely tends to your issue, once again send you to a dummy redirect webpage helper, then they essentially "hang-up" on you, as no further responses are given.
F this place.

" I need a part for a stove. I got the model # and went online. Appliance Zone's auto chat came on I gave the info and they told me which part they *thought* I needed. I ordered it and the wrong part came. I tried to return it. Just about impossible. I drove 30 miles and ordered what I need through a real person at an appliance parts store. There's no way to talk to a real person. Avoid these guys unless you want to take a chance they'll get it right. I will never consider ordering anything from them again. By the way, that "low price guarantee" ? It was $2 cheaper at the parts store. Customer satisfaction doesn't matter to these idiots."

"I ordered the product I was told to by an this sites agent on an instant message on the web site. When I received oneof the parts I ordered, it was the wrong color so I tried to cancel the other one but it had already been sent. I followed their instructions and returned the items. I wanted to receive what I had requested. They never offered to make it right and to top it off they did not refund my total price and I had to pay $39.02 for sending the items back, so I'm out $60.02 and do not have anything to show for it. NO customer Service is provided! They use one email message to cover all problems and do not try at all to make things right! Again..NO customer service. "

"I would like to say that I was most skeptical of ordering an item from Appliancezone.com after reading the reviews on this site.

I looked for the part needed on many sites including ebay which usually has what you need close to the same price as most sites.

This case was different since the price was 20 bucks cheaper after shipping costs were factored in.

I noticed a popup chat window on the page of the item I wanted and decided to chat , which I usually dont bother , but I was determined to find a good price on this item , so I answered the chat.

I threw question after question regarding the reviews on this site and came to the conclusion that sometimes the wrong item is shipped , sometimes people make more out of a situation than is needed. I do not make light of people that are distressed , but sometimes its that release in the review that brings pleasure or at least satisfaction.

My online chat representative explained they do not use phone support as one poster had pointed out , which I dont see the need when online chat is just as effective and its in black and white in front of you , so you know exactly what was discussed.

I was assured that the item was instock , the price would be billed as it read on the page and it arrive as ordered using the shipping method I chose.

All of this was correct , the item was ordered 5/12/2009 and arrived 5/14/2009 , the shipping method was fedex 2-5 day shipping , so 2 days is great. I used a Paypal account to purchase , so I did not have to give any credit card info and the price was exactly as stated on the page , except there was a $1.75 tax added which I didnt think was explained , but I will live with paying taxes.

The person on the Chat with me was named Ashley , and I would like to point out that this person was not satisfied until she knew I was satisfied. I could only hope that this type of service is more prevelant than the poor service others have experienced. I for one will use this company again and will pass the word to others.

I would like to add that even after I had ended my chat session with Ashley and was reading through the page to make my purchase , another Chat window appeared and I was being asked if I needed any help. This is a great system to answer questions and keep your customers happy , do not change this.

Thank you Ashley and Appliancezone.com for you great service and pricing.

A new and satisfied customer.

"Worst online company I've ever dealt with. NO telephone support, only rude emails acknowledging their mistake, but refusing to do anything about it and refusing to have a supervisor (if there even is one, it seems like a 1-man sham with some workers manning email as firewalls) contacted. Bad, bad, bad."

"In February I ordered Part # WB62T10533 GE maintop glass for my GE range from Appliance Zone. 1st of all it took 3 weeks for them to ship and when they finally shipped it, they shipped the wrong part. They shipped p/n WB62T10633. I contacted them about the error and they sent the correct part. The problem I'm having is they wont send me authorization to return the wrong part and give me credit for the wrong part. I have sent a number of e-mails to them and have had several promises that they would send a return authorization but as of 5-1-09 I have nothing back from them. I would caution anyone thinking of ordering from them to recondsider there thinking and buyer beware. "

"Stay away from ApplianceZone. They have no customer service, no telephone contact, incorrect guidance on choosing a part, etc.

I used their online chat to help determine the correct part needed for a Sub Zero 532. Their site had listed several items with the same part number except for some "dashes" within the number...with different prices for each item. Via their on-line chat, I was told the parts were different. I questioned this and mentioned that I knew for certain that Sub Zero had dropped the dashes within their part numbers some time ago. Then I was told, "Yes, that's true...you are right, they are the same parts with different prices." Then I was told that some of the parts were not from Sub Zero, followed by a, "No wait, yes, all parts were from Sub Zero."

So I was advise to order the lower price item...might as well save the money.

So I did.

Then, just to be sure I got the best price, I did some more online checking during the following 5 minutes, where upon I found that the part I was advised to order was the wrong part for the application. The problem appeared to be that the part number I was told to order had two of its digits reversed.

So I went back to the online chat and explained the problem. I was given a link to visit and then an email address to write to about the problem. This was at about 4 PM on 3/27/09.

The response was, in essence, "Too bad."

After several emails with no results I called my credit card company to request a correction. I was told they would do so after 15 days (and after my attempts to return the item after the part arrives). The credit card company was already aware there is no phone contact for ApplianceZone.

Several days later, a package arrived at my office's street address but to the wrong person and with the wrong company name (and with a different "sold to:" address on the invoice within the package). The package was from another appliance parts supplier. And the part was a different product number altogether. And it comes with an invoice at a different price (lower by 30%) than seen anywhere else.

I called the shipper of the part (the invoice in the box did have a phone number) and asked why they sent me something. They scratched their heads, so to speak, and did not know why. I was not in their system! They promised to resolve the issue.

Fifteen minutes later I get a telephone call from "Jordan" of ApplianceZone. I asked for her telephone number. She would not provide it...she was on a cell phone and I don't have caller ID. I explained the entire situation. She said, in essence, "Too bad," and that the item I received was a substitute. The fact that the part was wrong for the application and that it was shown on the invoice at a lower price was irrelevant. I was told I could not get a refund, nor would I be issued a UPS "Call Tag" to return the item at no charge to me.

So I called the credit card company to document this ridiculous situation again.

So I've now got the wrong, wrong [sic] part sitting here, no way to contact ApplianceZone other than by online chat (during which I'm told the person cannot help me), or via email (during which I get the same response of, "We will not refund your money for either the product or the shipping."

At this point, my credit card company has issued a temporary credit on the account. I'm quite certain that after the credit card company disputes the transaction with ApplianceZone the credit will become permanent, and ApplianceZone will be debited for that amount. Still, this entire ordeal has been eye opening. I'll never deal with ApplianceZone again.

BTW I checked with the company that shipped the wrong part to me (Automatic Appliance Parts) about their price on the actual part I needed. They had a cheaper price for the correct part than did ApplianceZone - by 25%.

Oh yeah...the part that ApplianceZone shipped to me as a replacement (for the one they incorrectly directed me to order) is also listed on the ApplianceZone website. And that item (the replacement item) is at a different price than they charged me...lower by 15%!

Unbelievable!

"I too wish I had read here ahead of time. I purchased what I thought was 3 Samsung filters for my refrigerator. What they sent was 3 off branded filters. They are refusing to take them back. No biggie for me, I will file disputes with PayPal and if necessary with my credit card. They cannot mis represent an item then claim they cannot be returned."

"I wish I had read these reviews before I ordered. I ordered three water filters for my Whirlpool refrigerator. I transposed two numbers and ordered the wrong items. Guess what! No returns on water filters! In fact, the way that their return policy is written, you can't return much of anything! Thinking that they would surely take back three unused, unopened water filters, I stupidly ordered three of the correct size. When I realized that they would not refund me anything for the misordered filters, I went to cancel my order. GUESS WHAT NOW! You can't cancel an order. They don't even have anyone that you can talk to...just some idiots on Live Chat that repeat the mantra of, "Read the return policy." And, "No, we have no customer service phone number." These characters are sleazebags."
