I knew exactly what microwave I was looking for and it was a good price with free shipping so I ordered it. I got two confirmation emails and noticed that the order numbers were different. I called their 800 number and spoke with Steven. He was most helpful and explained the two number system and ever looked up the delivery date of my microwave. What a good find for me. Will be checking with them for future purchases. "

"We got a great deal on an extra wide fridge... we were extremely happy with that. Also, before I dive into a full review, I'd like to comment that Maier, the last customer service rep we interacted with was extremely helpful and professional.
Again, the price was great... the delivery was more of an issue, though. When I paid for the fridge, the website indicated that the shipping was free. I did add the extra fee for stairs, though. However, when it came down to the actual delivery, we faced a few issues:
1. The delivery was several days late (and we had lined up a contractor based on the date the fridge was supposed to arrive). No one called to let me know. I found out that delivery had been delayed because I proactively called to check in.
2. When the delivery truck finally arrived, they told us he didn't have enough staff to get the fridge in the house, as it was too heavy. I was disappointed and surprised that they didn't realize this when the item was shipped or when the truck was loaded! I was told that we would have to reschedule and that there would be an extra charge.
3. No one called to reschedule my delivery, so finally, after several days, I called in to inquire. I was again told that there would be an extra fee of several hundred dollars. This baffled me, as it was very clear on the website that shipping for this item was free, except for the added cost of stairs, which I gladly paid for. The representative I spoke to (I don't recall his name) was extremely rude, yelled at me multiple times, accused me of lying about what the website said, accused me of trying to take advantage of the company, and on and on. He even threatened to just refund my money and cancel my order (after we waited several weeks with little/no communication, etc.). He said this and put me on hold in the middle of my sentence, leaving me to believe that he was cancelling my order.
Luckily, the next person who picked up the phone was his supervisor, Maier. Maier and I had a calm, adult conversation, discussed the events that led up to our conversation, which ended in us splitting the additional shipping costs. I felt I was quite reasonable and forgiving about the whole situation. We even tipped our delivery guys an extra $80.
While our issue was ultimately resolved by Maier (again, great service and demeanor) and the price was great, the hours spent following up on delivery issues and the way I was treated by the unnamed customer service rep (which was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had), outweighed the cost savings. Unfortunately, it is not likely that I will be shopping with Appliances Connection again, especially when there are so many other competitive options like Amazon and Overstock."
