"I had been searching for living room furniture for over a year, visiting local furniture stores as well as looking online. I'm really big on reading reviews, so it didn't matter how nice something looked if most people said it would fall apart very quickly. I finally settled on something I saw online and went crazy trying to find it at a store that would ship to me on the east coast. Enter Appliances Connection. From the time I saw the furniture on their website to the time I actually ordered it, I got the ultimate in customer service from Sally at Appliances Connection/Scavolini Store. I mentioned that there seemed to be a problem between the picture of the furniture posted and the description, and no sooner had I said it that she had it fixed. She gave me great advice and didn't try to upcharge me; rather she did what she could to help me keep the price down. She helped me out through email and made the process seamless. Anytime I had a question I contacted her, and she immediately got me the answer. When it was time for the furniture to be shipped, she provided me with a tracking link as well as the phone number for the trucking company. When the furniture arrived, I panicked and jumped the gun, calling her and telling her they sent me the wrong side of the sectional (I had never had a sectional before and it looked like it was right-arm instead of left-arm, as depicted in the photo.) She told me to immediately take pictures and email them to her and she would have someone get right on it. When I figured out the mistake was mine, I emailed her and let her know that everything was perfect. I could tell that she was so happy for me in the email she wrote back to me. Part II came with Wellington, one of their customer service reps. I had decided to do whatever assembly necessary and again, since I had never had a sectional, I wasn't sure about whether the brackets on the couch needed screws, since there were holes in the brackets. The store closes at 9:00 p.m. and I had been out doing errands until about 8:50 p.m. and decided to call the store as soon as I got in. Well I got put into a queue and was customer #4 when I called. I became customer number 1 very close to 9:00 p.m. and waited quite a while on hold. At some point I figured that nobody was going to answer since it was then past 9 and was just about to hang up when Wellington came on the line. I explained the problem to him and he took the time to pull up my order to see what kind of couches I had ordered so he could better help with the answer. When I realized it was well past 9 I apologized and said I would be happy to talk to him the next day since I realized it was past closing time. He wouldn't hear of it and said he was happy to help me. Wellington was calm, kind, patient, and helpful, exactly what I needed in my state of mild frenzy! He gave me his opinion (which turned out to be totally correct) but said that he would feel better calling the manufacturer in the morning to find out for sure whether the brackets needed screws or whether instead the holes were decorative. When I said I would be happy to call the manufacturer if he gave me the number, he again insisted on doing it. He said he would call me the next day to let me know the answer. Unlike many companies that promise a call back that never comes, he called me at the exact time he said he would and let me know that it was good news, the holes were indeed decorative and I did not need any further hardware to complete assembly. He then encouraged me to call at any point if I had any further questions. The kind of customer service I got from start to finish is extremely hard to come by these days, and both Sally and Wellington went out of their way to make my sure that my experience was a positive one and that I was entirely satisfied with everything in the transaction. There is no question that I will do all of my home shopping at Appliances Connection/Scavolini store. The prices there are phenomenal, but with so many online stores willing to price match, there is no need to shop at any particular store. Customer service puts it over the top. They have a customer for life."
