Freezer

"I ordered a chest freezer on July 8th and did not receive until August 13. It was not delivered to me but to my apartment complex and I never signed for this item even though Appliance Connections stated that I needed to sign for my delivery. There are four dents in the freezer but since they are not too bad, I have decided to keep and not return since I waited so long after being told that the item was in stock plus I had my food in someone else's house and needed to retrieve. Their delivery company which is FEDEX was awful. I received emails every day twice a day saying that my freezer would arrive every day beginning August 6-August 12 or 13. I have no paper work on this delivery so I do not have an invoice #"

Delivery Issue

"Delivery scheduled for 8/7/2020 between 10 A.M. and 2:30 P.M. Truck showed up the previous evening, the 6th at 8:00 P.M. We were totally unprepared for this, need to take out the contents so old refrigerator could be removed. I'd seen at least one other review with this happening. I did complain to Appliance Connection, but all I got was 'sorry for the inconvenience'.
I won't be ordering from them again, but if you do, get a firm commitment on the delivery time, not just a scheduled delivery.
Otherwise the delivery drivers were excellent, removed the old refrigerator and installed the new one satisfactorily.

Have just filed a complaint...

"I have just filed a complaints at several places over our order for a refrigerator July 8. Their site sail "delivery 2-3 days". Weeks later, they told us "Oh, that is only for the NY city area"! Funny how this was not alluded to whatsoever on their site. We tried to get delivery info from them and also from FragilePak, the carrier, who have ignored us and did not answer our email.

We were told by this Co. that our appliance would be picked up by the shipper and on it's way to us by Monday, July 20. This did not happen. They finally said it was "picked up on the 21st, and was on the way". They told us we would be contacted about delivery BY JULY 29 at the latest, but this never happened. We were told delivery should be made around that time.
We were told over a week ago that this appliance was "ON IT'S WAY" TO US! This was contradicted the other day by 'Gary' who said it was going to "a terminal" and would be "put on a truck when one is going to your area". There is NO TRACKING for this item at all.
Tracking means showing delivery PROGRESS---LOCATIONS, TIMES, ETC.! There is NONE of this whatsoever.
We have now learned our item never left the warehouse in NJ, as of 8/3/2020. Will not purchase from these people again or recommend them. NO excuse for the different and conflicting stories, the delay in shipping and the misleading shipping info.
Update 8/5/2020: After dealing with continual lies from this company and their shipper, we contacted both and told them that UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WOULD WE ACCEPT DELIVERY OF THE APPLIANCE. (Their shipper, FragilePak also has horrible reviews everywhere!). AFTER WAITING A MONTH FOR A REFRIGERATOR, IT WAS TOO LATE AND WE WANTED AN IMMEDIATE REFUND. WE HAD ALREADY FILED COMPLAINTS WITH BBB AND CONSUMER DIV/ATTY GEN. OFFICE/NY STATE. WE GOT OUR REFUND. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU NEVER ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE LIARS AND SCAMMERS. THEY ARE EVEN RED FLAGGED BY THE BBB!

Don't buy from these crooks!!!!

"First of all I read some positive reviews here and they are fakes.
Bought LG dishwasher with 10 years warranty at the end of 2014. The warranty was only stated on receipt so I thought it was in house warranty. Nothing else was supplied to me. Come to find out that warranty is external company warranty ASA and since I did not register it since the warranty card was not supplied to me to register the warranty is worthless as a paper it was written on. Now I am being denied warranty because of that. Ho help from the customer service.

Promised delivery by end of May; got freezer 8/4/20

"Ordered a freezer on May 2, 2020. Due to Covid-19, many places were giving delivery estimates for August or September. We picked AppliancesConnection because they listed delivery by end of May. As the weeks and months went by, I had to check with them regarding if/when I would ever get my freezer. I feel they were dishonest in giving a false delivery date just to get the sale. If I had wanted to wait until August to get a freezer, I could have bought one locally. Seems like a version of "bait and switch" to me."

Appliances Connection did great

"Item arrived when promised and packaged appropriately. Good communication from the seller about what to expect and what to do on receipt. Good status reports on the delivery. I would buy from Appliances Connection again without hesitation. However, the item specifications were incomplete - including in the installation manual which I downloaded and read before the purchase. The portion of the cook top that gets installed in the counter was smaller than the published dimensions of the cook top, which required a fair amount of improvising to reduce the size of the hole in the counter. In addition, there are protruding screws on the lower part of the cook top that also have to be accounted for when measuring (also not mentioned in the installation instructions). If I had been paying someone to install it the cost could have gotten out of hand.

I don't fault Appliances Connection, but am unhappy with Whirlpool. We wanted a coil style cook top and there are only two on the market. This one and one by Summit. I had hoped that the Whirlpool brand name would be the better choice, and maybe it is, but my installation experience isn't giving me a great deal of confidence. Hooking up the electrical supply today and will see how it works. If any problems I will update.

"Save yourself time and frustration, and go somewhere else. The prices are reasonable, but delivery and installation is handled by a third party, and Appliances Connection takes ZERO responsibility for that process. Our delivery came late, and the delivery people were not trained to install our dishwasher. They dropped it off and drove away, which was not what we were told to expect. A manager at Appliances Connection promised a different company would be sent to install in a timely manner. Days later, an installation guy showed up in the evening, and we let him in the house during COVID assuming this would finally be the end of the saga. Sadly, this was only the beginning, as he was "not trained to install a dishwasher." THEN WHY ARE YOU HERE?! The manager at Appliance Connection said they couldn't control what happens when a third party shows up, and that our options were a full refund (they would send someone to take the machine), or a refund for installation. When I asked why he would sell us a package that included installation and then not take responsibility, he basically shrugged. He said he could ask the third party to send someone on Monday, but he could not guarantee they would show up or be trained to do their job (?!?!). I asked if he could show some interest in our case and personally follow up with me on Monday to make sure everything went smoothly, and he said no, but he would ask another rep to call. She didn't call, the installation guys never showed up, and here we are still hand-washing dishes, sadly staring at a dishwasher in a box in our garage. I'm asking for a refund for installation today. One of the worst experiences I can imagine. Go anywhere else."
