"This was the most unbelievable transaction I ever placed on line, (and between business and personal I have made scores of purchases on line). I orderd an item through BHM. They claimed it was available. When I called to check on the order the gentleman started yelling at me "claiming" there was no "free shipping". He went on to say it was no longer in stock. I asked him first why I wasn't notified and second if there was no free shipping why did it say "free shipping" and place a auotmatic "zero" in the box. Unfortunately I didn't read their ratings which are among the worst on the internet. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE, THEY HAVE NO BUSINESS SENSE WHAT SO EVER."

"UPDATE. Just tried to view Brian's web page and it appears it has been taken down. Not sure why.

Do NOT buy from this retailer. From my personal experience, he is a scam artist. He shipped me an incomplete order and will not fulfill it. When I call him he yells and curses at me. Then I found numerous other web sites where other customers have had the same experience going back at least 4 years.

07/28/09 Once again Brian continues to lie and cheat folks. I did not ever receive a replacement battery for the broken one he shipped me nor did I receive a seat for my cart. I cannot believe he is allowed to still be in business and defraud folks!

"Why, why, oh why didn't I read this first??? I usually do, but the one time I decided not to I came up with this SCAM!!! How is it possible that this guy Brian is, first, in business and second, not in jail or even seriously injured by an angry customer. Similar experience to the cases mentioned below: submit the order, got an email saying that the order would be shipped in like 2 months, called to cancel the order (first time I had the """pleasure""" to talk to Brian), said he had already canceled it, credit card was charged anyway, the item was sent weeks later (I didn't want it anymore), asked for refund one thousand times and the idiot just hangs up on me all the time. Filed a complaint with my credit card company, we are contesting the charge. AVOID PLEASE!!!!"

"I purchased an Odyssey XG 8 putter April 4th. I am still waiting. I have received 2 phone calls (one late at night) telling me that "as soon as my suppliers ships it to me you will get it." He sent me an XG 6 which duplicates one I already own. This guy has issues that no one person should have. Be very careful."

"This is a perfect example of the need to do your homework before buying something online. I bought a set of irons on the BHM site using PayPal only to find out the order didn't go through. When I called, Brian insisted I was not charged and took my credit card number. Big mistake. He said the clubs would ship that week and assured me I would have them by the following week. Now, 3 weeks later, multiple phone calls and several emails, Brian has not received the clubs from his "field rep", but assures me he'll send them "as soon as possible". Based on the other experiences on this site I have little confidence I will get the clubs in the near future. I believe Brian has mental problems and his meds aren't working. He sounds wiped out when you talk to him and his emails are often incoherent. Here's a guy who's trying to run a legitimate business but has no clue what he's doing. I kind of feel sorry for him and I believe he'll end up either bankrupt, in jail or in a mental hospital.

Apparently if they can prove he had intent to defraud, he's liable for $50,000 per occurrence. However he is a perfect candidate for the "insanity defense".
Update: I finally received the clubs (4 weeks after they were promised). I had already bought them at a local retailer instead. I returned the unopened box via UPS and have confirmation they were received and signed for, but no credit has been issued on my credit card. I sent a complaint to the IL Attny Gnrl's office.

"After living this nightmare, dealing with Brian for month and a half, I thought I can't be the only one. I was right. He is a scam artist. Played me for time so when I contacted Paypal was past 45 days. Told me it was on the way and wasn't, told me he had tracking numbers and didn't, I asked numerous times for refund and said I never asked. I was reading my story written by others. I have relation in Chicago who works for high end lawyers and finally threatened him with using them, after reading his reviews and told him I would see him shut down. I contacted Villa Park police and was given a detective who handles these complaints and who is aware of BHM GOLFS pratices. Within hours of telling Brian this and also that I would be on his doorstep in a few weeks as I would be in Chicago, I got a full refund of 349.00. I contacted TaylorMade and asked for REP to contact me as he should not be allowed to represent their product and he was telling me Talormade was not sending the club. I don't believe Brian ever ordered it! STAY ON BRIAN. Have a scence of humor, because he is INSANE! And contact the proper authorities. "

"Well I am counting my blesssings. I am one of the lucky ones who almost got stung by BHM Golf. I too visited their website and did a little research on this company. I live in Madison WI and the company resides in Villa Park, IL. (Chicago area). The website looked very professional and his prices looked great too. Saved myself $30.00 on a pair of Ecco Shoes. Fortunately, I paid for my items with a credit card thru Paypal (I love this site). It saved this transaction. After I placed my order I got an email confirmation from Brian that said my items would drop ship directly from the factory in 3-5 business days. The email was pleasant and left me contact info on BHM Golf. I waited 2 weeks and no shoes. I shot off an email to Brian and he promptly answered it with a "I'll check it out and get back to you tomorrow". No response from him the next day so I waited another day and shot him another email. Once again a prompt response that they might be on back order and will call the factory and get back to me the following day. Once again, no response so I gave him another day and emailed him to call me at work the next day. Surprise,surprise, no phone call. I finally called him and got a recording from his cell phone to leave my number and he will call me back. Five minutes later I got a phone call from him, showing a restricted number so I could not call him direct. We talked for about 10 minutes and I asked him what was going on with my order? The conversation was a bit strenuous but never escalated to swearing or harsh words. I finally had to tell him to be quiet for 5 minutes and listen to me. I informed him that I was very unsatisfied with this purchase and that he keeps ignoring me. He never followed thru with what he said he was going to do. I proceeded to inform him that I didn't trust him due to all the negative comments and complaints that I had read on these types of sites. I understand that alot of customers can be difficult BUT his lack of enthusiasm about my order scared me into thinking that I was another one of his "scams". He told me that he ordered my shoes on April 3rd and that they were probably on back order. He told me that he would check with his rep and get back to me on Monday. Well thats all I needed to hear. We hung up and went our merry way. However, I still didn't trust him and decided to give him until Monday to get back to me. I stewed about it over the weekend and began investigating him some more. I kept reading more horror stories from other customers on these complaint boards and after reviewing another customer's comments, decided to take matters into my own hands, NOT physically. I called ECCO, the manufacturer, direct on Monday and informed them of my situation. I told them I purchased my Ecco shoes from him and that they were to drop ship them to me. I informed the service rep that Brian ordered my shoes on April 3rd but she could not find my order. She did say that Brian did order shoes from them on April 2nd and 6th but NOT my style. We confirmed the model number of my shoes and said they ran out of my size many months ago and not sure if they will be manufacturing them again or not. She said that if Brian placed the order for my shoes, there would be a back order tracking ID for it but there was not, SO HE NEVER ORDERED MY SHOES. That evening I came home and checked my email but to no avail, nothing from Brian or BHM Golf. That did it for me so I opened up a complaint with PAYPAL. Lucky for me I was within my 45 day window, from when I paid for the items, to file an initial complaint. I informed Brian that enough was enough and to get me an order number and tracking number from ECCO and his shipper and that I was going to contact them both to verify what was shipped and when I would be receiving my items. I did not mention to him that I knew he never ordered my stuff. I was waiting to see if he was going to lie to me or not. That never happened. My final word to him was to cancell my order and refund my money if the items haven't shipped yet. He refunded my payment in full the same night. I think I dodged a bullet only because I filed an initial complaint with PAYPAL and I was still within my 45 days that PAYPAL gives you as a consumer. Had I waited another 2 weeks, I probably would have been making a trip to Villa Park looking for this dude. Maybe he had a change of heart or maybe he knew that I'm only 2 hours away from him, not like most people who live 4-5-6 states away and won't come looking for him. The Villa Park police department know all about this guy and his business unpractices. They say he won't screw local people because they will go after him, but the out of state people can't afford to come after him because they don't have the time nor want to waste anymore money to go after him. I would reccomend staying away from Brian and BHM Golf unless you want the headache dealing with Brian. BUYER BE-VERY-WARE. Good Shopping!!!"

"I had ordered a fairly hard to find club from this store without reading any of the ratings before hand. After ordering, I did a little searching and found the ratings, and what people had to say about it. I was very disappointed in my lack of planning and research. Calling BHM, I tried to cancel and the person I talked to said the club had already been shipped. That was about 45 minutes after the initial order. So,I waited. I was almost excited to see if the ratings were true, and I would end up with a womens RH driver, instead of my LH fairway wood. I received a tracking number shortly after the purchase. The club showed up on the date promised. I ordered it on a Friday after noon, and it showed up Monday early evening. Not only was the shipping fast, but it was the correct club. The headcover was a little dirty, but the club itself was brand new, and exactly what I had ordered. Maybe I got lucky, or maybe the bad ratings, and lawsuits have turned this place around. I am not going to put all my eggs in one basket, but in the future, if I find what I am looking for here, I might consider another purchase. Thanks"

"Just wanted to chime in and say I was interested in Brian's site, loved a pair of shoes, ordered them and waited and waited and waited. And waited.
What an easy transaction! A pair of shoes?!?
Not until many emails were fired off from my side, a few telephone conversations, (which left me incredulous because of Brian's rudeness and lies), and his NUMEROUS lame excuses did I actually get somewhere with this man. The progress I made was ONLY due in part to me mentioning getting the police involved.
Brian is clearly unstable and it's very unfortunate that his business practices are so unethical, to say the least, because his website appears to have a lot to offer.
I have never encountered such a bizarre transaction; hard to believe BHM Golf is still in business.
No matter how appealing his merchandise looks on his website, it's not worth it.

"Worst internet retailer ever. I was lied to and strung along for close to two months. I tried to cancel the order and was told that it had already been shipped only to find out that the order was shipped weeks after my cancellation request. I had to file a complaint with my credit card to finally get my account creditted after the item was returned. Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else. "

"This is the worst experience I have ever had with a online retailer. They are the rudest prople I have ever spoken to. I ordered some golf towels on Jan. 3rd and I never received them. So Icalled their toll free number. The guy told me that they would process it that day. I told him that I even paid extra to had it sent UPS third day delivery. When I asked him to not ship it and refund my money he said that he already processed the order and could not refund my money. He really got angry when I told him that I do not even want to do business with them so i am contacting PayPal to cdomplain and get a refund. After some yelling on his part he finally processed a refund on PayPal. What a horrible experience. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!"

"Wow..How do I even start? This Brian guy has some serious SERIOUS issues. All I want is a confirmation and a tracking number and on Monday he tells me it shipped on Fri and on Tues it shipped on Monday. He tells me to email customer service. I do, no response. I call, straight to voicemail. I continue to call Brian throughout the day. I figured he is ignoring me, so I'll make it impossible. It is now Wed. and I called him multiple times today. A few where I was put on hold a very long time or just hung up on. When I did get to talk to him he told me I was driving him crazy, started cussing and telling me to have a Merry ****** Christams and so forth. I told him he needed mental help and about the reviews I seen online. He assured me my damn product has shipped and then he starts screaming and screaming like a crazy loon!! OMG What the hell is going on? I felt the need to almost console him. One redeming fact was that after the screaming fit, he said he would have the tracking number...after hanging up he called back to apologize for getting upset. So, I will give him a couple of hours more before I start calling again. I don't care what he does or says. I'm getting my damn gift and it better be in time for Christmas. At least it's being drop shipped from another location! Please stay away from this nutcase. He is stressed and needs help. "

"NIGHTMARE SELLER! I ordered a golf bag from them in November, my card has been charged since that date and they said it should ship in 48 hours - it is now 3 weeks later and after 8 attempts to get info (phone & email), I never got the bag. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company and filed a complaint with the better business bureau. The guy blatantly lied and said he was looking right at the bag and would ship it out in the next few days, then the next time I called he said I must've misunderstood and it was on order. Then I spoke with a woman who said she'd get back to me and never did. Now I had to pay to overnight it from a more reputable store because they won't even answer the phone or emails anymore. I ordered shoes from them that took almost a month but at least THEY got there. It's not worth the $5-$10 that you think you're saving by going to BHM. So frustrating - beware!!!"

"1st order from BHM in 2006 went smooth. Therefore made this order which became a nightmare and only resolved last week. Ordered golf shoes and balls in Mar 07. Shoes shipped to wrong address. Balls shipped OK. Advised Brian - he arranged to ship the shoes from Fla to Ariz. So far so good. However upon arrival my son discovered they were the wrong size. Went downhill from there. Brian wouldn't ship correct shoes - finally my son paid to return them. Brian signed for them on 21 Aug 07 but refused to refund the money. This went on from then till Nov when Brian finally agreed to sent me golf balls of equal value (4 dozen) then sent only three. Did get the 4th dozen last week. First of all - even with the good prices - I would not order from BHM again. Not worth the probable hassle. Should a problem arise - immediately try to get a refund thru Paypal and or credit card company. Next contact Brian and set suspenses and let him know you mean business. If no success contact the National White collar Crime center, the FBI, the Chicago BBB, Villa Park Police Department and others you may find out about. Addresses, web sites, phone numbers are in other review of BHM on this site.
Best advice: always check out who you're buying from - this site is great and avoid problem merchants.
