"I placed an online order on January 22nd for nearly $4000 worth of ATV parts. Two days later, I received an email saying that the order was 'on-hold' because the shipping was an additional $119. The original shipping quote was $204.36. I was already aware that the shipping method might need to be changed and also the cost of shipping might need to be adjusted. I was okay with the extra $119 and just wanted to pay, but it took over an hour waiting on-hold before I managed to speak to someone at Babbitt's. The order shipped on time. The only real problems I had with Babbitt's were: 1) Getting through to speak to someone - I spent a long time on hold. 2) The staff I spoke to all sounded either depressed, hostile or just plain surly. I must have called Babbitt's about 5 times and there was never a cheery voice on the other end of the line.
I decided to write this review because there are so many negative reviews of Babbitt's. After reading a few negative reviews, I became worried that I was going to have serious problems but my order came through with minimal problems and overall, I'm happy with the order. The ATV parts all arrived in good condition and I saved more than $1000 by ordering through Babbitt's - even with $323 shipping! (I live in Canada where EVERYTHING is ridiculously expensive compared to prices in the USA)."
"Buyer beware. Customer service is unbelievable. Tried to cancel my order 2 hours after I placed it Sunday Mar 3. Send email and called first thing Monday morning. Was told that the order can't be stopped unless I am paying a 25% re-stocking charge (for parts that were not even yet received by Babbitts). Asked about the extreme high shipping charges and was told that it was so high because it included customs and duties related to importing to Canada. Needless to say it does not. More on their customer service? Here we go: Notification said it should arrive between Mar.7 and Mar.11. On Mar.7 I sent an email asking for status. Received email saying that the CSR has asked his/her shipping department and will get back to me shortly. Never does. So I call same afternoon. Next CSR tells me that my package is shipping today. When asking for tracking number she says it would be automatically emailed to me after 6:30 that night. I am telling her that's good news since I paid a lot of money for shipping UPS next day saver, so I should see my parts before the weekend. Now she informs me that they don't ship by UPS. But, I say, this is what the order confirmation says? No, she says, this comes up for international shipments but "it doesn't mean anything" and "we ship by DHL basic service- 4 business days!No fast shipping and of course again no tracking number. So I am calling back next morning. Next CS rep. tells me that it shipped last night. She doesn't know about automatic email and doesn't have tracking number but would be happy to email it to me. Again her email never makes it. So, I am calling again. Talking to CSR #4. She checks and tells me my stuff will ship as soon as they receive it from Yamaha... "
"I wish I would have read the reviews of this company first. I see only 2 positive reviews out of 26 and now I can certainly understand why. I called to see if the parts I had checked into the online shopping cart were in stock and they explained that I had to place the order online to see if anything would be back ordered and it would take 24 to 48 hours. The next day, they processed the credit card and took my money but didn't have an answer about when parts would arrive except for their "2 to 6 days" from the order. They said the order had NOT been placed with Polaris yet, so I asked to cancel and they said they could not do that. I then called back and asked how they could take my money if the order had not even been placed yet, and they suddenly said the order HAD been placed and that if I refused the order, there would be a 25% re-stocking fee. Absolutely terrible policies in place. I would never treat my customers that way and have been in business 21 years. Tracking number? What a joke, they won't give you a tracking number until the part arrives in THEIR warehouse. It took 7 business days just to get it in their hands, and now I wait 3 more days to get it shipped here. I will never do business with these people again nor would I recommend them to anyone I know. All of my snowmobile buds are stunned at how terrible their service is. Babbitt's should be ashamed of the way they do business online. By far the worst online experience I have had in my life.
Update: Shipping information: I got my tracking number which doesn't do any good until UPS picks it up. Got my notification on Friday with tracking number... when I called to verify, the gal on the phone said it SHIPPED on Friday. Not the case, it was finally picked up Monday and now I won't receive it on 3/12 like they said... yet another day waiting. Ordered these parts on 2/27/13 and they are not here yet as of 3/12/13. I can't wait to see what arrives. If they are not the right parts I will be out of my mind!

"I ordered 3 different products on 1/24 and on 2/5 I called and talk to some idiot and she said that its takes 2-4 business days and you will get a tracking nunmber. Whatever that means, she told me they placed the order and it drop ships from the manufacturer (they entered the order on 1/31) 7 days to enter and order. Now I have to wait another week + to ship. I wish I had read the reveiws before ordering. I will never no matter how much cheaper they are order again. They SUCK! buyer beware. Oh one last thing they called and needed to authorize another $27 for shipping!"

"I ordered a Honda Generator from their website. Their price was $100 lower than anywhere else, and they offered free shipping in 1 to 2 days. I placed the order paid with a credit card, only to be horrified after checking their reviews online.
To my surprise, they shipped the generator on the 2nd day and it showed up 3 days later. It arrived in perfect condition and I am a happy customer. I'm not sure what has prompted the bad reviews, but for my order, they did a good job!

"The worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I needed to make a change to my shipping address. turns out it has to be the billing address. I just moved and my customer needed his bike back asap. told me i had 24 hrs to change my address. I dealt with my bank and called back within 24hrs. Oh theres nothing they can do. When I try to bring this up again they say they need to know who i talked to. Nowhere on their website or anywhere does it say that I need to know the person who I talked to for any purpose. They can't even keep track of their own emails. I will never be dealing with them again and do not know how they are still in business.

"TERRIBLE COMPANY!!! They do not send confirmation emails at all. They charge your account the instant you place the order even though they do not ship for days or weeks later. They do not allow any changes to the order once it is placed. The "customer service" is a joke, nothing but excuses and flat out lies. They charge 25% restock fee for exchanges or refunds. "I ordered 4 parts from their online site and it told me that they would arrive from 11/30 to 12/2. I was ok with that until not receiving a tracking number or any confirmation email of the sort so I emails there customer service and they told me that it has not even been processed yet. Needless to say it wasn’t until 12/6 that I received my parts or should I say part because guess what there was only ONE part in the box not the FOUR parts I ordered. I will be contacting customer support and demanding to know status on my parts. NEVER USE THIS PLACE JUST GO TO YOUR DEALER AND PAY A FEW MORE DOLLARS AT LEAST YOU WILL GET THE PARTS ON TIME!!!!!"
