"I purchased several items from BarnesandNoble.com on December 14, 2012 including a marketplace item. I ordered a BasAcc- Anti-Glare Screen Protector for Asus Eee Pad Transformer and have not received the item yet. On December 17, I received an email from BarnesandNoble.com stating that my package had been shipped via UPS. The item was shipped to my work address in Pasadena, CA and when it arrived, I received an incorrect item. What I received was a cover for Nook that I did not order nor do I own a Nook. There was no packing slip or receipt enclosed in the package. The only thing enclosed was a shipping label on the package stating it had come from BarnesandNoble.com in Arcadia, CA. I contacted B&N customer service regarding the incorrect package and the representative told me that I had indeed received the incorrect item and that I would be receiving an email from the Marketplace seller with shipping information regarding the CORRECT item. It has been about 3-4 days I still have not received 1. an email from the Marketplace seller or 2. the correct item. A few minutes ago I contacted the B&N customer service line AGAIN inquiring about the item or a confirmation email stating that the correct item was shipped. The representative Barbara could not locate the seller information in the notes nor any indication that seller information was sent to me.
I had ordered items from B&N 10 days prior to Christmas assuming that I would be receiving my items in time for the holiday but now I don't even know if I am going to be receiving it at all. I had even signed up for B&N Membership with the impression that if I signed up shipping would only take 1-3 business days. It has been 10 days and I haven't received ANY of my items. The customer representatives have been quite helpful but the fact that no one knows where my items is at nor if it has even been shipped is unacceptable."

Which is also understandable for space constraints a physical location places on the total volume they can carry on. However, one thing which can be added online is a short snapshot of the actual book akin to what amazon offers. But instead of throwing random pages the content could have a time limit. This will greatly help to determine which books I want as a reader because title and the small summary do not provide enough information to buy a book especially online and for reading on nookbook."

"The pricing seemed competitive and the books arrived in great condition, it just seemed to take a long time to ship. Which actually isn't a fair assessment, a week and a half isn't so long but when I placed the order it said that it would take 2-7 days to ship out which struck me as kind of a long time to put an order together. I mean I don't know how elaborate the process is to collect all the books and put the orders together but it just feels like it shouldn't take 2 to 7 days. So what I might suggest is not being so specific, just give the total estimated time, tell us that it's based on how long it takes to put an order together and how long it takes to ship, then you kinda share the shipping time more with the shipping service, which seems more reasonable. It doesn't make sense if a customer were to think about it, but it's a subtle psychological thing that might make people a little happier with you (not that they're not happy with you)."
