I ordered items from 3 different stores on Tuesday. On thur. and fri. I got my stuff from the other stores. BatterySpace charged me the most for shipping at $10.61. It was to be here today, (tue. of the next week) UPS is now saying thur. because BatterySpace filled the order late. Tracking is also very poor. UPS sends the shipping notice so searching old email for batterySpace only got me my confirmation number. I used BatterySpace's "track order" using the confirmation number in the correct space on BatterySpaces website. That took me to a blank UPS page where you need to enter the UPS tracking #. I would have thought my UPS # would have filled on, but no. I did find the old UPS notice in my email and found the "rescheduled" delivery. (I've never seen that before unless there is a very big storm) BatterySpace does say "orders may take time to fill" I get that, not a problem. But UPS shipping is sent low priority (6 days) at $11. shipping and nonworking tracking, this is just to much BS to mess with!"

"I ordered a replacement battery for my bike light, along with a charger. My charger got so hot it MELTED. I used it exactly as instructed. The Batteryspace customer service person told me on the phone they would replace at no charge, even though the warranty had expired. They gave me a return confirmation number. But, when I sent it back, they said they wouldn't replace it/refund me. This was not an issue of damage on my part or misuse.

I would strongly recommend against ordering any products from Batteryspace.com. It isn't acceptable that their products get hot enough to potentially catch on fire, and they are inconsistent about customer service and they do not stand behind their product. "Reliable rechargeable batteries are a must for us. We have an animal sanctuary and being out at night is common. We have tried so many brands of rechargeables…never finding what we truly wanted. It is really rather critical to be out in the woods in the middle of the night tending to some animal and have your batteries go poof. It is even more important in the summer so you can see where you are walking as the snakes seem to like lying right in the walking path…go figure lol. I am a bit of a research nut and have to look at every angle when making a selection. It usually takes me days to decide. . I had read on one forum a discussion about Powerizer batteries. Most of the discussion was extremely favorable. I selected the Powerizer NiMH Rechargeable Cell: 12 PCS AAA 1.2V 1000mAh batteries and the NiMH Rechargeable Cell: 12 AA 2600 mAh NiMH Batteries + 3 Plastic battery cases. I thought the three cases gift was rather cool. Considering this brand is about half of what I would expect to pay for a decent rechargeable battery I was most interested. It was not a brand I was familiar with but some times you just have to take a chance. Batteryspace has a generous return policy. Three months on NiCd, NiMH, Li-Ion, Alkaline batteries, Laptop Batteries is certainly plenty of time to test battery quality. We have tested our batteries over 4 months and counting.
I also wanted a new charger so ordered CH-V6988 IC-Controlled 10 Channels Ni-MH and Ni-Cd Smart Battery Charger. At 21.95 it was fair price for what we were wanting. Batterspace has a very generous warranty policy on chargers…one full year. Honesty with the flimsy quality of gadgets these days a one year warranty is a nice thing in my book.

Batteryspace processed and shipped my order quickly. Packaging was very good. About the only complaint I have is I wish the battery charger came with some kind of instructions. Mostly the paper work was in Chinese.
We have been using these batteries and charger since the middle of August. We are very pleased with the amount of time they hold a charge. The only problem we ran into was recently the batteries did not hold a charge so I started pressing buttons and discovered the discharge feature. Honestly I could not tell if the discharge was automatic or not since there were not instructions that were readable to me anyway. Once the batteries were fully discharged they work like new. Later I did find the pdf on the site for instructions...thanks Batteryspace.

Only thing to watch for is high shipping prices... okay for a large order, but you wouldn't want to use their website for a single battery purchase (go to their ebay site all-batteries for that kind of purchase).

"I placed my order for a CH-V6280 Smart Charger and AA Sanyo Eneloop batteries with BatterySpace.com on 6/6 and it was shipped 6/16. In all, I suppose ten days is not a long time to wait.

I also ordered additional Powerizer AA and AAA batteries. Everything arrived packed well and intact and like a kid at Christmas, I could barely wait to play with my new toys.

The CH-V6280 Smart Charger came with a one page users guide, not that the company is too cheap to print more, but that the charger is that simple to operate. The CH-V6280 has eight individual charging channels that allow you to mix and match AA and AAA cells with different capacities and varying stages of discharge in any order. You can charge anywhere from one to eight batteries at a time. It even has a discharge mode wherein it will completely discharge the remaining charge on your batteries before recharging them, ensuring longer life. When completely charged, the batteries are put into a trickle charge mode, keeping them fresh until you remove them. Nicad batteries are not supported by this charger.

The CH-V6280 Smart Charger comes with a 12-volt AC power adapter (wall wart) and I will soon be hooking this up to a solar panel. You can also use an adapter and plug it in to the cigarette lighter of your car or truck. The cigarette lighter adapter is not included.

This is my first large capacity battery charger and I never really imagined needing one, but after owning this one for a short time, it's difficult to imagine going back to a 2 or 4 cell charger, let alone one without individual charging channels. There have been many times when I walk into the room and insert a single battery to be recharged. Other times, I'll load up all eight channels. I spent a few days discharging and recharging old batteries several times and actually noticed a dramatic difference in their performance, ultimately saving them from the recycle bin.

Apparently, BatterySpace was out of Eneloops and they substituted Sanyo Ni-MH 2700 AA batteries instead. At first, I was not happy about the substitution, especially when no one contacted me to see if I would rather wait for them to get Eneloops back in stock. I suppose I shouldn't complain because the Sanyo Ni-MH 2700 AA batteries are more expensive but I really was looking forward to receiving the Eneloops. However, I must say that after using the Sanyo Ni-MH 2700 AA batteries for a while now, I am very pleased with their exceptional performance. I recycled them several times through the CH-V6280 Smart Charger before putting them into service. I am not sure if that was really necessary, but it made me feel better. They hold a charge very well and last quite a while longer than I expected, much longer than any other battery that I own and I am sure that I will be buying more of these in the near future.

In short, rather than being upset for not receiving the Eneloops that I originally ordered, I am very appreciative of the personal attention BatterySpace gave my order and the generous measures they took to ensure my satisfaction. They could just as easily have notified me of the back order and dropped me into a holding pattern like so many other companies do.

Thumbs up to BatterySpace for having their customer's best interest at heart. I will be placing many more orders with them in the future.
