"A battery failed to charge 7 months after receipt of it. Went through the warranty process, paid for one-way shipping, and waited a over month before contacting them, asking them whether they were even in receipt of the battery. BattDepot responded that they had tested it—is it a coincidence that I had contacted them on the day of testing?—and insisted that the battery was functioning normally.

It wasn't; I had a second OEM battery that was working just fine. I asked for an exchange battery, which arrived about a week later. I charged it, then used it for the day, but when I went to recharge it, it wouldn't. After removing the battery and re-inserting it, as well as swapping it with my smaller OEM battery—which still worked normally—it was clear that they had sent me a faulty replacement.

Upon contacting them with this information, BattDepot refused to make a second replacement unless I paid for round-trip shipping. Granted, I'd agreed to this in our emails regarding the first battery exchange, but that agree was made assuming a properly functioning replacement part.

Yet BattDepot refused (repeatedly) to own up to their error, and the shipping costs (not to mention the cumulative costs already incurred) would have nearly paid for a brand new battery. So now I'm left with a paperweight that must be recycled.

I am completely dissatisfied with their service. It is clear that both the quality of service and product are lacking, and I would not recommend that anyone purchase after-market parts from them. Find another retailer.

"Thanks BattDepot. I ordered a battery and a new charger for my laptop the other day at 3:30 pm EST. The courier was banging on my door around noon the next day with my new battery and charger.

I was back in business in less than 24 hours. BTW, the other guys at the big box store would order it for me, but it wouldn't be in for 5-7 days.

Thanks again BattDepot, you make it easy and fast!

"So far I'm largely satisfied with BattDepot's service. My new AC adapter was available as per the schedule stated on the website, and it has been working correctly since then. Pricing was very good and order/pickup was fairly straightforward.

It would be nice if the website supported Interac though.
