"As I was told by a rep there, don't buy on-line, go to a local lighting retailer. Terrible customer service. Light fixture was not color stated on website. When I advised Pam in customer service that the fixture was black not burnished gold they told me I was wrong. She never even saw the item!! I had five other people check it out before deciding to send it back. Everyone said it was black.
I was only asking for half shipping charges refunded, as I do take responsibility for the fact that I chose to buy on line. They completely refused any consideration.
I will always check out reviews from now on.
Pam even told me not to shop on line because this is what you get?? What--aren't they an on-line company, I mean who trained this customer service rep. The rudeness of her response, in addition to poor customer service procedures make this an especially disturbing experience. "
"Don't use them. Their customer service is terrible. Their return policy is ridiculous. They would not take back 2 wall sconces that are in their unopened boxes because it was more than 30 days since they were shipped. Well, by the time construction and moving were complete, time flies and their response was similar to other reviews, "too bad. That's the policy and we don't care what you think". There are plenty of lighting companies out there, use someone else."
" I ordered a wall sconce light which I returned. I was charged $7.95 for shipping but when I returned it according to Bellacor's instructions I was charged $15.89. When I complained I was told that was the UPS charge for an electronic label. As I am quite capable of filling out a shipping label I should have been told of the extra charge and given a choice.
When I placed the order Bellacor staff was friendly and efficient. When I was dealing with the staff re the return the person I had to deal with was snippy and unfriendly."
"Ehhh. The only reason I ordered from Bellacor is that they are an authorized dealer for a very good furniture manufacturer (Uttermost). But their prices were the same as everywhere else. And otherwise I tend to believe people's negative reviews rather than the other positive ones.
1. As is somewhat typical, my UPS shipment arrived with box badly damaged but inside ok. Bellacor provides no guidance, and still has not answered my email inquiry, regarding any future shipments: whether they prefer me to refuse such a delivery.
2. I don't know how other people's UPS service is, but UPS doesn't ring MY house doorbell. So I want to know when to expect delivery, to check for damage and to avoid a package from being stolen after being left at my door. Bellacor emailed me a tracking number, but not until after the delivery took place. See the other similar review.
3. I suggested that they offer a shipping option which requires the customer's signature. No reply to that email either.

"Don't use this company! If you need to return something they make you pay the retail cost of sending it. They do not generate a mailing lable for you to give you their cost of shipping. I called to get that and they just quoted their policy
and more or less said it was too bad that the way it is. They are making a big mistake. I will never use them again for anything!"

"I ordered a friend's birthday gift from Bellacor. They sell all kinds of stuff - including a metal yard ornament in the shape of a toy poodle which is what I needed. I monitored the online site for shipping info on my order but the site was never updated (minus one star) so I had to take extra time to call customer service. Kevin was so terrific! He said their site and the vendor's site were not correctly communicating and asked if he could call me back. I doubted that he'd ever call but he rang me back within 2 hours with the Fed Ex tracking number and the good news that my gift would arrive on a Saturday. Item was well packaged, well prices and free to ship - yay!"
"What a great experience. The most helpful and pleasant people, representative even called manufacturer when I was not able to track item to trace where my item was in the process for me. I recieved items on time and as promised! I ordered anextra item and had to initiate the return of the item I liked less and they were once again excellent, giving detailed yet simple instructions and following up with an email and a contact name and numvber if I needed help. I will shop with Bellacor again, one of the best online experiences I have had and I talked to 3 different people - all were great - sincere, helpful and friendly."
"Another stumbled-upon seller with great results.
At the time of the purchase, I was looking everywhere for the lowest possible price and desired item color. Everyone seemed to carry the item (in the wrong color) for inflated prices, and even on eBay, the color I wanted was still too expensive. I was about to give up when Bellacor popped up in a tangential search, and showed me the item as something that was discounted, tax free, and included free shipping.
It was almost too good to be true since no other place was offering a discount, so I took a gamble... and won!
It was just a little disconcerting that they didn't provide me with tracking/delivery information, but a couple of calls to Bellacor customer service resulted in successful status checks. (The woman that assisted me over the phone was patient, very on the ball, and courteous, so at no point did I ever think ill of the company, their employees, or the shipping process.) Apart from carrier details, the most info that could be imparted (from the customer service end) was the item's date/time of departure from their Minnesota warehouse.
In retrospect, the order arrived at around the estimated time, and there were no problems whatsoever.
It's so bizarre how these random, seemingly unknown, sellers can deliver quality goods while popular others, e.g., Frys, Overstock, Newegg, etc., will more than occasionally deliver total duds.

"Order arrived damaged. Appeared damaged from manufacturer. I called Bellacore immediately and they agreed to refund my credit card immediately and that the shippers would retrieve the item within 30 days. I asked them to resend the item but I wanted them to have the item carried off the truck and into my house and to have it delivered at the same time they pick up the damaged item. I explained to them that I had to have someone wait around for 3 hours to help me get the item into the house and couldn't do it again. They could not help with that. They couldn't arrange pick up and drop off at the same time or give any help with bringing the item into my house. So I took a refund and am ordering it from a place that has free white glove delivery."
"Bellacor definitely has some of the best prices and their website is easy to use. I was also able to use a 10% off coupon I found online. Although Bellacor did not provide any tracking information for the shipment, it did arrive within the 10 business days stated on the invoice. The package (a 24"x32" mirror + hardware) was very well packed and arrived in tact. I would shop Bellacor again."
"Horrible customer service. I called within 2 hours of placing an on-line order to cancel and was assured that acceptance of the cancelation from their vendor would happen ("usually") within 24 hours. Four days later I see that the pending charge went through with my bank. I do a lot of on-line ordering and have never been charge by a vendor for product before it ships. I called again and was told there were no notes on my account from the 1st call. Later I found out that the representative DID however request the cancelation with their vendor. Two days after this I still see the charge and e-mailed Bellacor. I was informed that the order SHIPPED.
If a vendor is telling a customer we should have confirmation of the canceled order within 24 hours then take the responsibility of making sure this happens. All of a sudden this became MY problem. Also, in trying to get things straight with the follow through on a return I was hung up on twice by Bellacor's customer service and nowhere in this process did the representative have the common courtesy to apologize for their mistake."
"We searched a long time online to find just the right desk lamp for my Mom. The one we selected was available from a number of retailers, but many had poor reviews and/or higher prices.
Bellacor had a good price, possibly the lowest, plus no sales tax and no shipping. And they had a solid 80% rating at Reseller Ratings, though only 5 reviews were posted.
The lamp arrived today, the 4th business day after ordering, reasonably quick with standard UPS ground shipping. It is just as pictured, and was very well packed.

"I am very happy with my purchase from Bellacor. I ordered eleven light fixtures on 1/18/08 (after close of business) and received all eleven fixtures (free shipping) on 1/24/08 - four business days. The fixtures are as advertised. I got them for 50% off when I ordered.
One FYI for other shoppers is that since they drop ship directly from the manufacturer, you cannot get shipping info without calling their customer service. Just plan on that if you order from them. They send an order confirmation e-mail but nothing else after that. I would not hesitate to order again, though."
