"Sporadic communication, ridiculous lead times, and the infamous "a shipping label has been created- oops our system glitched, give it another week maybe it'll show up in tracking system" makes me say no thank you to Ben's forever more. Same order from a merchant on Amazon.com shipped (like really shipped, not the way Ben's does it by just saying it shipped) within 12 hours. How does this company stay in business? "

"This place is a joke they created ups labels,never shipped the item and two weeks later I am still waiting. However, tomorrow I will be calling my credit card compamy to report fraud. They have until the end of the day to resolve my matter or credit card company hear me roar !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Read all of the reviews before you order anything from Ben"s Outlet !!! Ordered A Belkin Router from them 8/17/2012. They charged my Pay Pal Account that day, gave me A UPS tracking No. which as 9/7/2012 sho3ws they created A label but never have shipped the item. Sent two emails to there support sight . First email was blown off with A form letter . Second email got reply saying probably UPS had lost the article and would file An claim in my behalf. Problem is they had not shipped it. Would like me to wait another 10 days. Guess it is time to contact Pay Pal and file my own claim!!"

"I ordered a 9" tablet, it took them 17 days to ship this item, even though a "your package was shipped" email was sent to me 15 days ago....then the item gets here....and its a 7" tablet...the one they sell for $30 cheaper. No phone number to correct this, just an email that now I have to sit and wait for a response!!! Do not risk it!!! BBB is my next stop!!"

"My horrible Ben's Outlet experience thus far:

1. Friend recommends tablet purchase from BO on 8/23/12.
2. After checking reviews of tablet (but, unfortunately, not BO), I purchase tablet from BO on 8/23/12.
3. Credit card charge authorized on 8/23/12, and posts on 8/26/12. Confirmation email received from BO on 8/23/12.
4. After no further communication from BO, I emailed on 8/28/12 to inquire re shipping status.
5. Receive generic response from BO on 8/29/12 that doesn't specifically say whether my order was shipped but simply states that orders are shipped within 5-7 business days and received in 3-10 business days.
6. After no further communication from BO, I email them on 9/2/12 indicating that I assume my shipment will go out on 9/4/12 at the latest since that will be the 7th business day since my order was placed.
7. I receive the standard apology email re difficulty with their tracking system, yada yada yada, on 9/4/12. I also receive a separate email on 9/4/12 indicating my order has shipped, providing me with a tracking number.
8. To date (9/6/12), when I check the tracking number on ups.com, I am presented with the information that a label for that package was created on 8/29/12 but that UPS has not yet received an item for that tracking number.
9. Email to BO on 9/5/12 indicating that tracking number provided does not indicate package actually shipped has yet to be responded to.

My 9/2/12 email to BO provided a link to the Federal Trade Commission website that clearly indicates BO is not following rules established for mail order sellers. Those rules include requiring sellers to ship by the promised date, and defines the promised date quite specifically. In BO's case, customers can reasonably assume that their orders will ship the day after they are placed when items are listed as in stock because of BO's claim that "many orders are shipped the next day." But even if they're not held to next day shipping, they clearly indicate another window of shipment and delivery -- neither of which has been met in my case. When a seller cannot honor their promised delivery time, the regulation states that they need to ask the customer's permission to keep the order open and provide another delivery estimate.

Basically, BO thinks it can collect money from people on day one for products it may or may not actually have in stock, and then provide incomplete and/or meaningless information about order fulfillment.

At this point I have no clue whether I'll get the tablet I ordered. If my friend hadn't already received one from BO, I would assume that the entire website is nothing but a fraudulent operation. Never again will I do business with BO. I would honestly rather pay a little bit more and deal with a reputable company.

"This site is ridiculous and is a SCAM. I too placed an order and was charge right away. Now a month later nothing has been shipped. This is despite the fact that within days of my order they sent me a bogus UPS shipping tracking email etc. Now after 17 emails I get some woman telling me that my order has been canceled and will be refunded. Unreal. I order a lot online despite the urging of friends and family to avoid it to avoid scams but I will NEVER EVER order anything else from Ben's Outlet and I will make sure everyone I know and can reach knows not to order from them. Also, I see that I am not the only customer being treated this way. It seems that this is their pattern and this is the way they do business. Just awful.

They get zero stars in my book. Bad, products, bad shipping, bad customer service.

"8/17 order Two Toshiba tablets.... Until yesterday, no response from Bensoutlet on when they would arrive. Super-Angry. This morning I finally received an emailed response from them saying that my orders would arrive by the end of the day tomorrow. I immediately looked at UPS and the tracking numbers were different. The old number has been voided and the new information is in transit. I hope that everyone on this forum that ordered the tablets also has new tracking info and will receive the orders because this was not a small purchase to me and we all seem to have a similar story so I know that all of you are as p-off as I am. Will I orderagain? I don't think so. Will I update this review tomorrow? Yes. Good luck to us all and lesson well learned.

I just got my packages. Ben's outlet let me know via email that there have been shipping delays on some items and they voided the first UPS shipment and shipped them 2nd day air. I am quite happy that I was not scammed out of my hard-earned money, yet, I am weary of ordering again. I hope everyone got there's as well.

"I am another victim of BENS OUTLET that's www.bensoutlet.com that is B E N S O U T L E T oh, did I mention BENSOUTLET? I also ordered a Toshiba Thrive tablet. I have waited 15 days only to find that the label was just cancelled on UPS. In all the years of purchasing on the internet, this is by far the worst transaction to date. Personally I believe they preorder them and then don't actually have enough or even get them. I am filing on every ratings and complaints sites to hopefully never have this happen again to anyone. BENSOUTLET, you should be ashamed of yourself. Now I wait to see when I get my money back. Trust me, I will. You messed with the wrong consumer. Buhbye to your crappy business."

"*August 17th Ordered Toshiba Thrive Tablet.

*August 20th recieved shipping email with UPS tracking.

*August 20th - 30th UPS has never received package and multiple emails from me go unanswered.

*August 31st UPS shows "The sender has voided the UPS tracking number created for this shipment. UPS does not have possession of this shipment." and still have not heard from this company.

*August 31st Paypal dispute filed!

DO NOT! I repeat DO NOT! do business with Ben's Outlet! They have my money and I have not seen any sign that Im going to get my product. After multiple emails the only response I got was on the 27th in the form of a canned response of "Once the order is purchased it takes from 5-7 business days for us to ship". I have never heard anything else from them forcing me to open a Paypal dispute.

"I ordered a tablet from Bens Outlet on Aug. 23, 2012. Payment was made through Paypal and came out of my account immediately. I have heard nothing from Bens Outlet re: this order. No receipt, no ship date-nothing. No replies to emails, facebook posts or twitter. "I've purchased several things through Ben's Outlet. When the merchandise is new and works Ben's is o.k. But the most recent experience makes me vow that I will not deal with Ben's again.
I bought a eMachine computer. It was DOA. Ben's told me to contact eMachine directly. eMachines told me to contact the refurbisher (Teleplan Logistics). This was a surprise because the computer was advertised as new.
I tired of chasing the tale, so requested a RMA from Ben's. Three requests and still no RMA. I'm filing a claim with the credit card company.

"Looks like I'm in the same boat with Fdee and smilies. Although I have got responses to my emails... One I just sent about ups not having the item after they sent a email that it had been shipped and I called bs on them I'm sure I won't hear back. It's not hard to ship a box no bigger than a book. Order was place 8/17 it's 8/30. Come on now. I ordered 4 tires and I'm going to be getting them tomorrow. That's just sad to me. Can't wait to hear what bs comes about next. I think I see a charge back coming up pretty soon.... Don't be mindful when ordering from here.... More like don't be stupid. Just don't do it. And... If you order a 5 pack of batteries from them and receive it oh so quickly... Don't leave some great review about them. Place a real order that's over $100 and then you'll understand why the bad reviews are here. "
