"For a few months I'd been a happy customer of Ben's Outlet. Then, one night, a few weeks ago, I ordered a camera tripod, immediately told my wife, and 5 minutes later, because my wife said she'd found our tripod earlier in the week (Women eh :-)) I cancelled the order. The next day I received written confirmation of the cancellation from Ben's. A week later, a tripod arrived, though my credit card was never charged. I notified Bens's and they promptly sent me a return lable, and offered a $5.00 credit for my trouble. Coincidentally, during this same time I also purchased a spy cam, which turned out to be defective, and again, in only a few days, they corrected the problem. Therefor, I believe that once you find such an honest company, which already has great prices, and are so honorable in their dealings with customers, that this should be the first place you check out when you are in the market for something new."

I purchased a portable tv and when I emailed them about minor complaints (no car power cord and the remote was flopping around loose in the box), they responded like superman. I sent my email about 9pm on a Thurs. evening. By 9:30 AM the next day I had an email from paypal saying the charges were already being reversed on my credit card.

"I too puchased two items from Ben's Outlet. One item arrived promptly but the second (supposedly sent via UPS) only said shipping label created but no package received. This has gone on for over a week. I WOULDN'T PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM BEN'S OUTLET! It is a scam. I am going to be contacting my payment service to deny payment.
I sent two emails inquiring about the shipment and never received a reply from Ben's Outlet."

After emailing their customer support and complaining that I should not have to pay to ship a defective item back to them I was given a UPS shipping label to send the item back. They then refunded the ENTIRE amount I paid them for the items and that included a small ipod speaker set that I was not complaining about and was working for me fine. I have to give them credit for stepping up and doing the right thing. I don't think their method of shipping in a plastic bag caused the damage and believe it was that way from the manufacturer. I'm changing my opinion of Ben's and think their customer service did the right thing, did it in the right time and did it the right way. I do not recommend the knife set however and I did email that company to inform them of what appears to be a manufacturing problem. It took that company 3 days short of a month to answer my complaint. I am overall very satisfied with Bens's and their prices are good. I am much more likely to shop there again. I do not like shipping boxed items in plastic bags, so that I'm rating lower.
Ordered a knife set and an ipod speaker. Paid $39.99 for the knife set which was advertised with a value much higher and showing in the photos a really nice black block for the knives to be stored in. Knife set showed up shipped in a plastic bag. Box was split down one side along a seam and Chinese handwritten characters were visible. Taking the block out of the box to put the knives in shows large amount of bubbling and chipping around the slots. Emailed Ben's Outlet, waited 2 days for reply and they simply say if I'm not 100% satisfied to ship it back. #1 I paid to have an as advertised item shipped to me. #2 they ship their stuff in a non reusable plastic bag, so for me to ship it back, I must find a box to fit the large knife set and then pay to ship the item back to them. I should not have to pay to ship back an item they never should have shipped out to begin with. I am opening a dispute with my cc company over it. They did reply somewhat quickly, but forcing a customer to pay return on their problem is not something I feel is proper. Now I see Buy.com selling the same set for the same price with free shipping. Not happy at all with Ben's outlet."
"I ordered 2 items, one on Feb 2nd & Feb 3rd, they sent me UPS shipping confirmation #'s right away. I kept checking UPS site daily, UPS kept telling me, "ONLY SHIPPING LABELS WERE CREATED, UPS DID NOT HAVE PKGS"!
Everyday I was told this on UPS site, for almost 1 week!
Feb 8th I finally wrote Bens Outlet Bens Outlet voicing my concern and upset, They replied, "sorry" been delay (no other reason explaining).
Today (2-9-11) UPS site said, "1 item ONLY A LABEL CREATED, NO PKG RECEIVED BY UPS! 1 item finally shipped today. *Note ~ This was after I contacted Bens the day before.

Bens Outlet surprisingly contacted me today! They explained in detail the delay and REFUNDED my shipping cost on BOTH items, plus gave me a $25 store credit! They understood my concern and complaint about the slow shipping. I was VERY IMPRESSED by their KIND, PROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE and GENEROUSITY! I will be a repeat customer and recommend them, to everyone I know! I also received the Shark Sweeper yesterday and really like it!

"I ordered a Shark NH-15 Multi-Purpose Vacuum With Extreme Suction Technology, High Clearance Nozzle, Swivel Steering on Jan 25,2011. It arrived Jan 28, 2011. Super quick considering everything is covered in snow due to snow storms. I am missing a particular part(part i)on the vacuum, so, I emailed Ben's Outlet (about 1.5 hrs ago)to make them aware of the problem. I haven't heard back as of yet.
