"I bought a SANDISK 512 w/ free FTD REWARD CARD. BB haven't shipped my SANDISK Disk but the paper card. When I canceled my order, BB charged me $10 for the FTD WEBSITE URL CARD (JUNK). It is a scam."
"This isn't the first time I've purchased from BestBuy either on line or at a retail store & once again it was a pleasant experience. Placed the order on line, inadvertently listed misinformation on shipping address, called customer service, matter was handled in a reasonable fashion & received my order in a reasonable manner. The price for my item(Sony DSC-H5) was lower than most on line stores & shipping was quick. Will shop there again."
"Bought a digital camera with the memory card suggested by the store. The memory card sold to me is not the one required by the camera, and the store will not exchange it for the correct one because they "don't carry any more the incorrect card". Also, the camera is damaged, and there is no response. "Deal with Sony, they build the camera" is the answer I get from the store."
"They advertised a $10 bluetooth headset which was supposed to be in store. Store would not give me a rain check, told me to buy it online. Bought it online when it was back ordered on the first day of the sale. Best Buy then cancels all orders and does not offer anything in return for wasting my time and accepting an order that they could not fulfill. That is horrible business practice."
"ordered four items. went for in-store pickup non-sale items were there but sale item on which I based purchase was not. Bestbuy said the item was no longer sold despite my order in hand and being in store within 24 hours of order. so they said they had cancelled. no rain check.
ok, this made me a bit troubled, BUT...
today sunday, 48 hours later, I look at the new specials and there is the same exact item for 4x the price! I confirmed by calling store.
classic bait and switch.
Bestbuy said they had changed the "SKU" therefore the item was "different."
same exact product number by manufacturer, same package, same warranty same EVERYTHING, but Bestbuy thinks by changing their own internal SKU/product number they can claim the product is different? sorry this stinks of fraud and bait and switch.
I don't use those terms lightly I worked in retail a long time an feel that retailers should be given latitude for price mistakes and runs on stock. but best buy insisted it was not a price mistake, but simply that they no longer carried the item -- that is a boldfaced LIE. "
"Ordered this item just after 12am EST when the item price was adjusted to reflect the sales price.
Received an email sunday saying item was backordered but will ship in 1-2 weeks.
Received an email about 5 days later saying that order has been cancelled by bestbuy with out any given reason.
In addition, I stoped by the store about 1120am and was told that it was sold out already. I asked how many they had in stock and was told that they only had 2 in stock that morning.
I am not pleased with bestbuy because they did not ensure that there was sufficient stock when the item was widely advertised in their weekly flyer. There was no mention that it was a while stocks last item either."
"I ordered a Nokia-Wireless Headset for Bluetooth-Enabled Phones-BH-200 and it showed up as "IN STOCK" when I added it into the card. Everything went smooth, they charged me for it. Then 4 days later they said it's OUT OF STOCK, WHAT THE HECK. If it was out of stock then DONT PUT IT IN THE WEB. You don't put what you can't let people buy what you don't have in stock.
Also I ordered a 512MB CF card (with rebate) + an FTD card ( BBY01-119808009594 ) samething happened except the CF card is backordered and the FTD card is shipped so I can't cancel and the rebate will be surely late.
Bestbuy needs to close down their business website."
"I ordered an item from BestBuy.com on the first day of the sale. They reported that they still had the item in stock. I recieved an email 1-2 days later indicating that it was backordered and they would send it in a few weeks. I then recieved an email a few days after that indicating that my order had been cancelled because they don't have any of the item in stock.
I understand if a company makes a mistake and sells something and they don't have enough quantity. However, why do they run an add indicating that they have it in stock and then promise to send the item? It seems like false advertising if you advertise an item and then not accept orders for the item."
"I have made a purchase of an in-stock item online. The next day I got a notice in the e-mail that it was back-ordered. The day after that I got an e-mail that it was out of stock and my order was cancelled."
"Not a reputable online store. I know they are big and think they can do as they wish, but advertising an item and taking orders for it should obligate them to fullfil the order. Instead 5 days later they just cancel with no reason and gave me no compenstation or substitution or anything. Never buy from them."
"Sh***t, BB shuold get out of their bussiness, I have order nokia BH-200 at night saturday after they change the price on their web site, but they said they didn't have any in stock and cancel my order. Their customer service is suck. I wish they get out of the earth."
"Ordered a Nokia Bluetooth headset online. Three days later recieved a cancellation notice. Whats the point of a having a sale on a item and realizing the price was to good and cancel all orders? Here lateley its a hassle evertime I do business with Bestbuy"
"Order is cancelled without my knowledge. They post the items that are out of stock, misleading the buyers. Customer service employees are rude. Don't buy from bestbuy unless you are prepared to ripped off."
"Nokia BH-200 bluetooth headsets are on sale this week at Best Buy this week started on June 4. So, I went to store trying to get one. The staff at the store told me that they were all sold out and advised me to purchase it at bestbuy.com. So I did submit my order online when I got home. The purchase went through fine online. However, I got an email from bestbuy.com two days later telling me that my order was cancelled. The online agent told me the cancellation was due to out of stock. and she suggest that I should call a local Best Buy store to get a raincheck. However, the store staff told me they could not issue a raincheck because the headset was out of stock.
I had enough of Best Buy (online and retail stores). I would never buy anything from them. "
"I ordered a Nokia-Wireless Headset BH-200 but it was cancelled due to out of stock. Why sell something that’s not on stock. Very disappointed..."
