"The big deal here is that they canceled an order 3 days after the order was placed and took the money out of my account four days after the order was placed. No joke, they cancled the order then took the money! Worse still is that the order was cancled because they made 4 different errrors when they tried to process the credit card and shipping information. The phone representative, took every piece of information wrong and then reported the total ammount wrong. 4 phone calls, 6 emails and 2 visits to their web page later, my account is short $158 and they wont send the item unless I give them another $158. If I want my money back within the next week, I need to get the refund (for the item they will not ship) approved by their research department. As if all of this is not frustrating enough when I asked to speak to a manager/supervisor the snotty representative on the phone said, "there are no managers, you can only talk to me." Moral of the story, if its not on the shelf go somewhere else. "
"NEVER, NEVER, NEVER purchase anything online from this company! I got a confirmation and a pending charge on two items and went to pick them up. Only one was available and I cancelled the other. Not only have they not released the pending charge for BOTH items (but yet the amount for one of the items was charged) they also put a pending again for the second item that I cancelled. Now I have a huge pending amount on my credit card and no one can seem to figure out how to release the funds for something I have either paid for or cancelled. NEVER AGAIN! ONLINE BUYER BEWARE! Your funds will be held up for days on end even after you have paid for the item!"
"I got in on the Best Buy web site for my order of a Seagate 120 GB hard drive. I got an email back that they could not ship but could check stores in my area for in-store pickup. Best Buy showed in stock at two stores about 1 hour away from me so had order changed to in-store pickup. I went there and both stores told me they were out of stock. One store said shippment coming in in a couple of days. I go back then, checked in store and the same SKU drive sitting there. I went to customer service desk with my Best Buy web in-store pickup printout. After a bunch of people checking on my print out, I was told from a manger at the Best Buy store that the drive was out of stock. He lied to my face about that. After pointing out that the drive was in stock, he tried to sell me on a drive that had this big rebate (bate and switch). He refused to deliever the drive for my web pickup order. Best Buy stinks!
I also filed a complaint with the BBB but see that Best Buy has a lot of complaints already against them. So far I have about 8 huors of time and gas money in this purchase from Best Buy, which is still an open order from their web site, and do not have a drive. I believe Best Buy is waiting for this to run out on me. "
"I am very pleased with bestbuy.com. I thoroughly researched both the Pentax Optio WPi I purchased and the store I purchased it from. I was unwilling to compromise service or satisfaction for cost in this case and I feel like I made a great decision. Best Buy was even having an online sale so 2nd day shipping was free! The camera was in perfect packed condition when I received it and I will be writing a review on it as soon as I have an idea of how it rates. Thanks to all of the other users who warned me of the cheaper priced online stores. I always try to learn from the mistakes of other when I can!! Thanks again! "
"I ordered this computer online and asked for store pickup. After getting all the reassurances on the phone, the order that was place was for the wrong item and it was shipped instead of store pickup. So now I am stuck with the wrong product and shipped (I am travelling) to my home that I am not going to be there. Absolutely sucks!"
"I ordered a graphics card (BFG 7800 GT OC) that was advertised in stock. This graphics card was advertised to come with a free PC game of my choice. I chose a game, ordered the items, and received an order confirmation.
The next day I received a notice saying the graphics card was out of stock and offered to cancel the order. So I called customer care and cancelled the order and the CSR told me I would not be charged.
Then Best Buy charged me $49.99 + s/h for the "free" game and shipped it to me. I did not want this game anymore because it was a "free" package deal with the graphics card.
I had to return the item to a Best Buy store and they absolutely refused to credit me for the shipping charge. I called "customer care" several times and the teenage customer service representatives repeatedly told me there was nothing they could do in an insulting way.
Stay away from this company. You will burned."
"Best Buy = Worst Service...Why purchase from the retailer if they don't handle exchanges or replacements at the store? A headset for a cordless phone was purchased, then broke and now must be returned to the manufacturer for repair or replacement within less than 3 months of purchase. I am pretty much done with Best Buy for any purchases."

I bought a laptop that later I decided didn't fit my needs and after going through round one with the return people I decided to get a refund instead of looking for another machine. "I tried ordering a Kodak C360 camera from Bestbuy.com four times, from Nov. 25-28, and each time my order was accepted and I was issued an invoice number, confirmation e-mail, and cancellation e-mail.
The first cancellation e-mail said the item was out of stock, which was understandable because the camera was discounted approximately $100 from its normal price. But each of the next 3 cancellation notices said my information couldn't be verified, which was odd because I provided the same information I had been using for years, and my card issuer's web site showed that each use of my card had been processed normally.
When I phoned Best Buy I was told there had been no problems verifying my information but that I should not have been able to order the product because it was out of stock. They could not explain why their system allowed me to repeatedly place orders for an item that was out of stock (computerized inventory systems should make that impossible, and certainly a company as large as Best Buy should have a reliable such system), and one person even blamed hackers for the problems. And I've never heard of a large merchant's web site having a problem like this for more than a few hours, but my orders took place over 3 different days.
Frankly I believe Best Buy practiced bait & switch here by advertising a product for an unusually low price and not carrying anywhere close to the amount needed to meet expected demand. They made no effort to fulfill the order at a later date or offer a comparable substitute item.

"I bought a Toshiba laptop and when i got home i find out I couldn't use it with my devices because it lacks seral and parallel ports. I returned and they charged me $127 restocking fee. I will never buy anything from them or even visit the store again. This is a ripoff. I learn about other complains similar as well. even if the product is broken you will NOT get all your money back, worst when is a lot of money. "WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! I placed an order online last night and had it shipping to my default address. I receive the confirmation e-mail of my order and see that it is somehow shipping to a *really* old address. I call customer service right away and tell them there must be a glitch in their system and ask them to fix the address. They can't help me because their 'systems' are down and asked me to call back today, that my order wouldn't be processed until Monday anyways. In the meantime, I tried to send Best Buy several e-mail inquiries via the form on their website, and none of my requests were processed. So, I called back this morning and cannot tell you how absolutely disgusted I am with their 'customer service.' I spoke to three people, the first couldn't find my order, the second said she couldn't do anything, and the third (which said he was a supervisor) yelled at me for asking for proper customer service and kept reading me their 'policies' which did not apply to my situation. My card has already been charged, and now I have to go through disputing the charges. Meanwhile, someone will be receiving the package that is not mine and I am out the money. I have extensive experience in working for online companies, and I know they could've easily fixed the problem, but they simply refused to help. I spent nearly and hour and a half on the phones with them and did not receive any customer service, maybe they should call their department 'customer disservice""
