"I bought a dishwasher in-store for $527 and put it on the Best Buy card. The balance was 554 when I went to pay the bill. I even have the paper receipt for 527, so they overcharged for no verifiable reason. At the same time I tried to purchase a microwave online and had troubles. Their call center tossed me around to 5 different people with no resolution. I cancelled the order and went elsewhere. Bottom line: they have no integrity and don't understand the meaning of 'client experience'. I will never shop there again."

"I would highly recommend NOT BUYING software from the Crestwood, IL Best Buy store. I had an issue with the scratch off code (key) on the back of card I purchased (MS Office). I ended up in the middle of a battle between MS and Best Buy....needless to say neither would refund my purchase ($100). I wasted an entire afternoon on the phone (3 hours) and going back and forth to store. I took the software to another Best Buy (in MN) and it was refunded without question. Very frustrating indeed!!!"

"Best Buy charged an UNAUTHORIZED and FRAUDULENT transaction to my gift card, and is making me wait an unreasonable amount of time to get a refund. I originally purchased a Microsoft Surface 2 on their website for in-store pickup. During the check-out process, Best Buy FORCED a digital-download anti-virus software on my shopping cart for $0.00. An hour after ordering, I received an e-mail stating that the Surface 2 was actually NOT available for pickup (no surprise there, as I later learned that Best Buy has one of the worst inventory management systems in retail). I went back on their website to cancel my order and realized that after cancelling my order for the Surface 2, they decided to charge $29.99 to my gift cart for the "free" digital-download anti-virus software made by some crappy unknown company. I was NOT able to cancel that software. I called Best Buy (after holding 20+ minutes) and was told I'd have to wait up to 7 days to get a refund. However, this is not a "refund" I'm requesting. A "refund" implies that you want money back for an item you purchased and are not satisfied with. This item on the other hand, was FORCED into my shopping cart and Best Buy later decided to charge me for it. By definition, this transaction was UNAUTHORIZED and FRAUDULENT. After I get rid of my gift card, I will NEVER do business with Best Buy again."

"Went to buy a LCD HD Smart TV. After looking for about 20 minutes, I settled on one model for price and size. Went to the demo area and their demonstration unit was off. Asked to see the picture and the Smart features and they (3 men) could not make it work. They said it was broke and walked away!! Amazed they would leave just standing there, but I went to a bigger unit (47) that was running. Salesperson approached and asked if he could help. I said I wanted to see some of the features. He said he could not as he didn't have a network connection and knew nothing about the apps. Walked over to the 3D TV but no glasses and the salesperson said that Direct TV was down and it wasn't working anyway. OMG! Ordered a LG 47 from Amazon!"

"On 11/18/2013, I ordered a 10 cup coffee maker from Best Buy. Their website showed that it was an in stock item. I immediately received a receipt confirming my order. I waited a week, wondering why it had not shipped. Then, I received an email from Best Buy saying that my order had been cancelled. Never again will I order anything from Best Buy."

"So Disappointed!

I bought my iPhone 4 with Best Buy 3 years ago. Loved their insurance policy. So much so, that I went back for the iPhone 5c. My trade in was qualified as poor. I went to another place that rated it as great condition, only less than excellent because it's used and not just-out-of-the-box condition, because it's been in an otterbox all three years. The difference is BB offered me 45$ the other place $103. In addition, the price was 199$ But with a "at least $100 gift card toward your purchase when you trade in..." I figured I'd go with the better insurance and pay $100 with the trade in. The offer of 45$ was laughable and it is worth keeping and passing on to a family member. The price was 100$ too much. and at the END of the deal the insurance has changed. The number is already transferred to my provider of choice and I am unable to return and cancel the acct, and go to the provider directly for the better deal without losing the number I've had for 10 years. Believe me I checked. Best buys response? "we don't match prices with XXXX" I'm out $200 net after all is said and done. I'm disappointed. As I'm looking for a smart TV and an iPad in the near future, Best Buy has lost a loyal customer of 6+ years.

"Saturday November 16th 2013 I called my Local best buy store # 406 to request the product availability of the Xbox one Day one edition.
I spoke on the phone with a person named Jason. He was extremely friendly, and told me that pre orders for the Xbox one day one edition are unavailable online and I would need to come in store to place a pre order. I thanked him with much excitement and told him I'd be there on Monday to order it.
On Monday, November 18th, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. I went into Best Buy Store # 406 to place my order. I spoke with customer service who said its unavailable. Then I tried to cash in my gift cards to best buy that I received on November 16th, 2013 for my birthday. It was a total of $225. The lady said they cannot return gift cards so I asked to speak to a manager. I spoke with a manager there named Miles, who told me that there are no pre orders available and that he couldn't return the gift cards because of some federal law. I explained to him I spoke with someone named Jason about it and he said if I came in store that I could place a pre order. He said the only Jason at that store is the General Manager and that he'd be in later that day at 1:00P.M. Miles wrote down my name and cell phone number and said that Jason would call me around 1:10 P.M. I told him I had an appointment at that time and he asked if 2:00pm would work. I replied yes. I left store # 406 to go to the local RX Optical for an eye exam at 11:50 a.m. I came back to tell Miles that my appointment we discussed earlier was actually at 1:50 p.m and asked if he could call me between 1:00pm and 1:30pm. Miles said yes.

At 3:30 p.m. on Monday, November 18th, 2013 I came to Best Buy store # 406 for the third time because I had received no phone call. I asked to speak with the manager named Miles. I explained to him I had received no phone call, and he said " you didn't?, Oh well we just got 40 Xbox one day one editions in but not available for pre order. So I talked to the manager in charge of the midnight release, Jerry, and will set one aside for you and put your name on it."
I said " Really? So I'm guaranteed and Xbox one day one edition at the midnight release? Can I get that in writing?"
Miles replied " well I won't be working"
I replied " Well than can I get it in writing from Jerry?"
Miles- " Jerry isn't working today, but he is tomorrow"
Me- " Okay great, but can I get that in writing?"
Miles than offered to exchange my gift cards even though he previously said he couldn't due to a federal law. We went over to the customer service desk and he asked a lady there if there was any way to refund the gift cards and she replied no.
At this point I wanted to talk to Jason, the person who I spoke with on the phone in the first place. Miles went and got Jason. When Jason approached me I thanked him for his professionalism on the phone the other night. Jason said "I'm the only Jason at this store and I've never talked to you before".
Me- " Ya right, we just talked on Saturday and you said if I came in store I'd be able to pre order an xbox one still"
Jason- " No, I didn't"
Me- " Uhm alright, well anyways miles said that you just got 40 Xbox Ones and that Jerry is going to set aside one and put my name on it. Can I get that in writing?"
Jason- " No, Jerry isn't going to do that, or I will personally fire him"
At this point I'm ticked off that I've been lied to so much. That miles was just saying things to get me out of his hair. Making false promises. I asked Jason " Does Miles know that?"
Jason- "Does miles know what?"
Me- "Does miles know that Jerry will lose his job if he does that? HEY MILES, did you know Jerry will lose his job? why'd you lie to me?!"
Miles tried to pretend like he didn't hear me so I said it again much louder and he just shrugged, caught in his lie.
Jason- "Look, it doesn't matter if you're a professional athlete, the governor, or the president of the united states, I can't set aside one because I will still lose my job"
So than you can you cash these gift cards so I can get it somewhere else?
Jason- No, the best I can do for you is tell you to come early and that you have a pretty good chance of getting one. It's like this every year a new console comes out. Tons of resellers are in line to double the profit.
me- So you're not going to help me after being lied to like this? after miles just said Jerry is going to put a Xbox one aside for me when he CANT do that?...-----------------------------
I don't even want to finish this I'm getting so furious just recalling what happened. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.

Best Buy store # 406, located at 2650 E Beltline Ave, Grand Rapids, MI, 49546 has horrible customer service, horrible managers, and I hope all the parties involved lose their jobs for lying to a customer trying to spend $500.00 at their store. Absolutely ridiculous. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. I don't even know how to describe how unfair and how WRONG it all was. I wish SOMETHING could be done, but what can be? All I can do is spread the word and make sure people know how horrible Best Buy Store # 406 managers are and their customer service. To make sure everyone knows how UNVALUED the customer is at that store.

"Best Buy screwed my out of my pre-order on a PS4. I pre-ordered mine in store on 6-12-13, the 1st day they took orders. I goto pick it up today and they don't have it. They claim that people who ordered them online get thiers 1st then in store orders. What kind of crap is this? Shouldn't you give out the systems in which the ORDER THEY WERE PLACED?????????
How hard is it to run a pre-order system. Total joke. Do not put your trust into Best Buy to hold your order on a hot ticket item. They will give it to the 1st people that walk in the door.

"I made an a appointment with the Geek Squad to come to my home for computer repair. I was informed that if I could not keep the appointment I would need to notify the Geek Squad 24 hours in advance. The appointment was set between 12n and 3 pm on Monday 11/11/2013. At 2:15 PM the Geek Squad called and canceled their appointment. I then asked to speak to a supervisor. And was hung up on. I then had to call back and jump through hoops to file a complaint. I will be returning their Computer and never set foot in a Best Buy again."

"Worst place to shop!
I ordered two video games via the phone with best buy, shipped to Boston to my friends while I was in LA.one was God Father, another one was a fighting game. A month later, back to Boston, I opened the package with him on his birthday. WRONG ITEMS! I brought them to store try to return or exchange these unopened games, store told me that I have to call the call center to return. I called! They told me that it was over a month. No return or exchange for games. I explained that they are unopened and they were the one send me the POKEMON GAME!!!
That was in summer 2006, I don't shop best buy since then.

"On October 15th I purchased a dishwasher. I asked for delivery, installation, and haul away. The salesman told me that I also needed to buy the installation kit because they could not do an install with old equipment. I purchased the kit for $29.99. The delivery and installation was scheduled for Nov. 5th. On the 5th our dishwasher was delivered. The delivery guy said that he would NOT install it and he could not take away the old one because it was still connected. I called Best Buy costomer service who offered me a $50 gift card. That’s nice but gift cards don’t install dishwashers or haul away old ones. My husband disconnected the old one and I called the delivery company to come and get it. The haul way was scheduled for 11/8. On 11/6 we received and email stating that our haul away was cancelled. I called Best Buy again. They said that the computer was still showing a pick up for 11/8 and that we should recieve a call with a time frame the night before. When we did not receive a call I called Best Buy again. This time they said that the Haul Away was scheduled for Saturday 11/9. This is a major problem. Our Condo Association only allow deliveries and pick ups Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:00pm. There is a $100 fine for breaking this rule. When I explained this to the woman on the phone she suggested that I call the delivery company when they open at 5:00am.

This has been the worst purchasing experience we have ever had. I can understand why there are so many negative reviews of your company on social media. My regret is that I did not read them before purchasing with Best Buy.

"I bought a MacBook Pro at Best Buy for $1,444.49. TWENTY days later the screen went dead and they would not exchange the computer because they have a very sneaky and not well advertised FIFTEEN day return policy. When I called corporate they told me I could exchange the computer in store but when I got the store the manager would not exchange my computer. I was kind and patient but he would not budge. TWENTY days. They offered to repair it of course... with a two week turn around. Are you kidding me? I wouldn't complain about that if it had been six months or something twenty days. The worst customer service and the worst return policy."

"This company has a serious problem with inventory control. When I place an order for in-store pickup, I expect them to have it waiting for me if the store sends out the "Your order is ready for pickup" email. On multiple ocassions now, they have sent out the confirmation email that confirms the order has been allocated and picked from the shelf/stock yet when I get there not a single person can find my items. This problem happens specifically at their Westbury, NY store very often.

The last time I placed an order they had half the order but confirmed the entire order as ready for pickup and when I get there they have no idea where the other half is then realize it was never even picked as the stickers were still sitting at the desk. The associate goes to check inventory and can't find it in stock yet on the website it lists the item as in-stock at that location still. After 25 minutes of waiting, I ask to just switch the color, and NOPE can't do that cause it's a bundle. Can they return and rebuy? NOPE. Instead the best option they gave me was to waste the rest of my lunch hour and drive to another store and get the rest of the order. FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE RIGHT THERE!

The first time it happened I let it slide, but when they can't find your items after they confirm they're ready for pickup, that store has some serious problems.
