"I placed an order for a Neato Robotic Vacuum on Best Buy's website with the option to ship to store for pickup in 5-7 days. After 10 days of the order stuck in "Processing" state, I called Best Buy and representative Amelia had no idea why the order hadn't shipped but assured me that it would be escalated to the appropriate department and that I would receive a call back.

Two days later, I received an e-mail that the order was automatically canceled. I called Best Buy to find out why no one had called me back despite promising to update me on the status of the order, as well as find out why it was cancelled. After waiting on the phone for over 15 minutes, the representative claimed that the item was no longer in stock, yet the item is still available for purchase on the website with an option for delivery within 5-7 business days.

The entire experience left me with the distinct impression that Best Buy has no idea what it's doing nor how to manage an online commerce business. Their failure to process an order in a reasonable amount of time, irresponsible customer service representatives, and inability to explain why the order was cancelled when the item I order is still listed as available on their website, has lead me to never shop on Best Buy's website again.

Best Buy is a Fortune 500 company with an online commerce infrastructure 10 year out of date. I recommend everyone avoids placing orders with them!

"Thought I'd give Best Buy another chance after abandoning them several years ago. New CEO, supposedly better service, thought I'd give it a shot.

Ordered product online and received email that item was ready for pickup. Drove thirty minutes to the store and waited there for thirty more minutes only to find out they didn't have the item and their online ordering system had a glitch. An hour and a half of my time and gas money wasted. This company is still a joke. I'd rather see their stores vacant.

"The absolute worst customer service I have ever dealt with. This company is a joke. I bought a camera and was trying to get it in in two days. They did not even ship it for two days after the order. They said that they were processing my card. Really that is the biggest joke. I go to stores all the time and come back two days later and pick up my groceries. Its normal"

"Customer service is a waste of time, as is this store. I ordered three blu-rays. Instead of one of the blu-rays, they sent me a DVD of the ever popular item, Barbie - A Fashion Fairytale. Inside the package, the packing slip indicated it should have been mailed to someone else, although the outside was addressed to me. When I contacted the store, I was told I could bring it in to one of their retail stores. When I said that it was not worth my time to drive 30-45 minutes round trip to do this for a DVD, they asked if there was something else they could help me with. (Wasn't sure what they had helped with so far.) In the end a supervisor offered that instead I could mail it back to them. Frankly if I am going to spend my money on the postage, I would rather send it to the person who ordered it, as presumably there is a little girl there who may not like Gangs of NY. "

"Whew, lots of bad reviews, and here's another. Beware of what you are told by the Pacific Sales (subsidiary of Best Buy) people and what they present to the public at 478 Alakawa St, Honolulu, HI 96817.
1) Retail prices noted on the appliances they sell are inflated.
2) They don't like to answer their phones and will not return calls when you leave a message (interestingly, they never seem busy when you are in the store)
3) Lots of misinformation! Utilities do not do what they tell you they will do, product support policies differ depending on who you speak with (it became apparent after the 5th person I spoke with that they do not want to help once the appliance leaves their floor), as mentioned, pricing is suspicious, they "pretend" to be Best Buy in appearance, e.g. same phones, same signage, etc. but they insist depending on who you speak to they are not Best Buy, etc.
4. Etc.
Very bad experience. Go elsewhere. Not worth your time and the aggravation they will put you through.

"Bought 3 iphone 5 cases for to show my wife on 6/21/13. She didn't like any of them. I was too busy to return it immediately, so I waited a couple of weeks to return it on 7/10/13, was told that their return policy is 15 days and I'm already outside that window, so they can't take the never-been-opened iphone 5 cases I bought 19 days ago."

"Best Buy has the WORST customer service staff I have EVER dealt with. After a simple question I was told "didn't you hear what I said to you?" With the WORST attitude I've ever had. Stay away if you can!

I purchased my cell phone through Best Buy and purchased the protection plan. When something goes wrong with my phone I have to wait at least 10 DAYS to receive a replacement which means 10 days without a working cell phone.

Not to mention when I try and contact Best Buy support, they send me to geek squad. When they can't help me, they send me back to Best Buy support. It's the worst goose chase with the WORST attitudes I've ever spoken to!

They could afford to take a note from Comcast. I know many people that have cancelled their plans and I will be doing the same as soon as possible. Stay away if you can!

"Wow... So many reviews about how bad Best Buy is...

Here is my perspective...

1.) Their Low Price Guarantee is more of a price match if we feel like it, as they deny frequently because the price match is too low

2.) Employees routinely lie about what their product protection plans cover

3.) Best Buy has reduced their return policy to 15 days, but did nothing to make customers aware of the change, causing problems for customers used to the previous 30 day policy

4.) Best Buy customer service is poor at best.

5.) Their forums are abysmal, where the standard Best Buy response is, "We are sorry.. BUT.... " and then they proceed to give some excuse as to why the customer is screwed.

The non Best Buy responses on the forums are worse, with a seemingly endless supply of former and current employees who do nothing but troll around and basically tell anyone who has a problem that it is their fault. To be direct, they are arrogant and rude. The fact that Best Buy allows their behavior says a lot about how the company does NOT value their customers.

6.) Best Buy's credit practices are technically legal, but like their product protection plans, employees often lie or simply are not transparent about specifics, when when asked.

7.) Best Buy blames all their financial troubles on returns, so now has started using ID to track returns.. While other stores do this, I have seen none do it as staunchly as Best Buy.Lowe's, for example, only tracks returns without a receipt...

Bottom line.... There is no benefit to paying Best Buy's inflated prices. The employees are not knowledgeable or trustworthy, and the customer service is poor.

"I bought a Coby LCD TV online at BestBuy.com. It was a 39" model #TFTV3925. In 6 months, it broke in the middle of watching a movie. The picture just went. Nothing I did fixed it. It was under a year parts warranty. Best Buy and Best Buy.com refused to take it back stating we had to go through the manufacturer. Coby would take it back at $25 per hour to fix it, plus costs to ship it to them and back. They wouldn't tell us how long it would take to fix it, so they had an open ended ticket for a labor charge. They suggested we take it to a TV repair service locally, and they would ship the parts to them. When we called several local TV services, they wouldn't touch it, stating that Coby would never send them the parts. And that it would cost more in labor to fix than it was worth. The TV cost $300. Huge waste of money and time. Don't get scammed. Don't buy anything from Coby electronics or Best Buy. In our experience, they don't stand by their products."

"I recently bought an item through the Westland store. Everyone that I encountered was friendly, professional and very help. The Manager(Melissa)Sales associate(Jessica)_ and Doug another associate. They assisted me on the item wanted and saved me over
$10. Dollars. When the product came in , they informed me it was in two days earlier, than anticipated. I can freely recommend the personnel and this store, for a pleasant experience.

"Best Buy is the worst store I have dealt with. My first bad experience was with a TV I bought on Black Friday. I paid for it and told them I will pick it up later same day. To my surprise, they sold, it again to someone else. They refused to give me anything other than a refund.
Recently, I bought an HP desktop with Windows 8. The computer does not work at all and they refused to accept it back. I only get 800 numbers to call for aggravations.
