"Although BikeBandit.com gets fairly good marks from the ResellerRatings community, I need to add a voice of caution. More of a disappointment than a serious issue, none-the-less I am reminded of it while writing a review from a purchase with a competitor. I wanted to purchase a tankbag for my motorcycle before the end of the riding season here. My research found a number of sites that carried the bag, but all of them were out of stock. I wrote to BikeBandit.com to ask if the item was available, and they assured me that it was. Though my card wasn't charged (which they were good to make clear), I got the dreaded "back-ordered" email the very next day. The expected "in stock" date (a month later) went by with no notice, and I tested the store by asking again if the bag was available. Even then, after 6 weeks, they still said that it was available. That was my last transaction with BikeBandit.com. I'm sure that, for the most part, they are reputable. But lie to your customer and that customer is gone forever. Sorry, BikeBandit.com. There are too many other, better players in your field.

Update: An immediate note from Cindy at BikeBandit.com after seeing this review has suggested to me that my experience may have been an anomaly and brings my satisfaction up 2 stars overall, and on the lowest ranked survey categories. Nice!

"I have a number of bikes and work on them myself. As a result, I became a Podium member last year, between the free shipping and the AMA discount and Bike bandit bucks, it is the best decision I made. Fast shipping and great customer service. Only improvement I can see would be to display the OEM part # with the OEM parts."

"I purchased the podium membership on 12-17 because it was on a promo for half price and because I had purchased 2 e-gift cards on 12-11 on a promo as well. On 12-24, they cancelled my e-gift card order (note, Christmas eve!) for my son. With several communications back and forth, they refuse to refund my podium membership which I no longer need and will not honor the gift card promo that they chose to cancel on Christmas eve 14 days after the order date. Not happy at all. I do not want to do any more business with them but will if they would give me a promo code to re-order a gift card since they refuse to refund the podium membership fee."

"WOW! I'm pretty amazed by the customer service! Order was easy to place and was on my doorstep w/in a couple of days - in the middle of holiday shipping season and a major snow storm slowing shipping to most of the country. My husband LOVED his jacket - quality was GREAT! Then, 2 days after Christmas, the item went on sale for 40% off! I called and the awesome/friendly customer service rep credited my card for the difference, NO HASSLE! (It'll take 7-10 days to credit to my account, so fingers x'd), but so far, I'm pretty blown away by BikeBandit's customer service! "

"WOW FAST SHIPPING I SELECTED REGULAR SHIPPING AND THEY WERE HERE PRACTICALLY OVERNIGHT, GOT EMAIL THEY WERE SHIPPED AND THE NEXT DAY THEY WERE HERE. AWESOME PRICE I PRICED THESE TIRES AT 3 OTHER PLACES AND I GOT THEM FOR $100. LESS ORDERING THEM FROM BIKE BANDIT,DUNLOP D 220 THEY ARE AWESOME TIRES GOOD GRIP AND GOOD WEAR AND PERFORMANCE. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE TIRES TO ANYONE WITH A SPORT BIKE. "Terrible. Failed completely to ship my order - an OEM suspension part for my CRF450R. Put me on permanent hold when I called to see what was up. When I finally reached them they blamed UPS even though the tracking site said it had not left Bike Bandit's warehouse. Best they could do was ship it again UPS Ground. Cost me a motorcycle vacation I had planned for weeks. Lots of other competitors. Buy from someone else."

"Received a damaged item and have had nothing but problems trying to get the issue resolved. They have also told me multiple times that items will ship by UPS but end up shipping USPS. I'm going elsewhere next time.

Update:
After convincing the post office that they really did have a box that was sent to me, I found that my replacement part was damaged too. Thanks Bike Bandit for such an interesting experience!!

"Their customer service is a joke. Ordered a helmet and tinted shield. They took 4 days to determine the helmet was unavailable and then sent an e-mail while simultaneously mailing the shield for a helmet I now don't have. I tried to stop the shipment and was told there was nothing they could do. This is what they believe is acceptable. I'm even a Podium member and I get this not my problem treatment. It's like nobody there cares at all about anything. I left a complete voice mail, which is the only way to contact them, and requested they call back. Received no response whatsoever. They never answer e-mails and customer service online or phone is never open. I don't think I'll continue with this seller anymore. 1/2/2013 - BB responded by phone and provided credit for shield. They did make it right in the end. Just wish it was easier to speak to someone which would have prevented all the trouble. I will shop there again. "

"for 1/2, off this cover is well worth the price,, any cover that goes to the ground is going to collect condensation in cool weather, this cover protects as well as providing air movement keeping bike dryer. this would also be good if bike is inside or under cover to keep it from getting dirty. also i got shipping upgrade"
