I WILL CONTACT LIVE HELP BECAUSE I PROBLY STILL WON'T HAVE MY TIRE IN 3-5 DAYS. THE ONLY THING I'M STARTING TO THINK ABOUT BIKEBANDIT IS"
"I've bought a few items from this merchant. No problems other than a little slow on shipping, which is disclosed on the site. ( 3 business days) The great companys ship within 24 hours."
"No problems with this seller at all. Fast shipment and good prices."
"Worst customer service ever. I ordered an OEM part and they told me it would ship in "3-5 business days". Not only has it not shipped, but now I've been waiting for their on-line chat service for more than an hour . . . Stay away from these guys, they are a total ripoff!"
"Go to your closest dealer before dealing with BikeBandit.com, you'll save yourself time, frustration, and money!
Ordered a shifter on 5/19, part shipped 5/31. Shifter that arrived was the wrong shifter. After using the "Live Chat" and calling for a whole week, I finally got them to take the part back with no restocking fees. They would not exchange the part for the correct part and in the middle of all this, their prices went up by $30 on the part that I ordered. So I returned the part and they credited my bank account...twice. Well I was honest and told them. They then proceeded to deduct from my bank account...twice. So I told them and they deducted from my account again. I told them and they ignored me. So now I don't have the part and I am out $128.54. On top of that, when they deducted three times my account was low and now I have three overdraft charges. They still ignore me. The customer support people are very rude and even disconnected the "Live Chat" on me a few times. I will never deal with this company again. I got the same prices at a dealer and much better service and the right parts at the dealer. I have my bank investigating the whole issue. It's 7/16 and currently BikeBandit.com has cost me $217.54 and I don't even have any parts from them!
FYI: Triumph parts "take an extra 7 days""
"Place an order on 6/22 for a pair of Dunlop tires, etc. Web site says everything is "in stock". A few days after the order was placed, I check the web site to track my order only to find that the tires are backordered. On 6/28, I did the "live help" instant message as I still can not find a phone number to actually talk with someone.
Andrea - Customer Care: How may I assist you today?
cr125honda: Order # M3Q#### has the two tires backordered. Do you have any idea when they are supposed to be back in stock? Ken
Andrea - Customer Care: Thank you for waiting. We'll be with you in just a moment.
cr125honda: ok
Andrea - Customer Care: Let me check on that for you, Do you mind holding?
cr125honda: thats fine.. I'll wait
Andrea - Customer Care: The ETA is said to be 6/30/07
Andrea - Customer Care: on both tires
cr125honda: sounds good. is that eta to you or me?
Andrea - Customer Care: this is the ETA is for when it will get to the warehouse and then it will be 3-5 days at the most to be drop shipped to you
Andrea - Customer Care: that is if they don't get pushed back again
Andrea - Customer Care: sorry
cr125honda: That would hurt. Ok Thanks for the update.. Ken
On 7/2, I check back in -
Cami - Customer Care: How may I assist you today?
cr125honda: I talked with Andrea last week about an order I placed # M3Q####. She said they were scheduled to be back in on the 30th and to check back after that. This is regarding the back order on the two tires.
Cami - Customer Care: Let me check on that for you, Do you mind holding?
cr125honda: Ok
Cami - Customer Care: The ifrst tire in your order, the ETA was pushed back to 7/10/07 at this time, I am going to check on tire 2
Cami - Customer Care: One moment please..
Cami - Customer Care: And the date is the same for the second one also.
cr125honda: I just looked at the listing for the front tire and under availabilty it reads "usually ships in 24 hrs". Thats how it read for each tire when I placed the order. I'm a bit dissapointed about this.
Cami - Customer Care: I am very sorry that it says that. It usually does ship within 24 hours, but these tires seems to be very popular so the manufacturer has none lefta nd has the ETA pushed back in order to try and obtain and make some more of them.
cr125honda: I don't quite under stand why you would list them as shipping in 24 hours if you know they wont be back in stock until the at least 10th. A bit misleading. Especially if you know they are backordered.
Cami - Customer Care: We do not know that theya re backordered untill after the order is placed. They appear availible untill after te order is placed and within the first 24 hours the status will update and let us know if they are availible and will be shipping or if they have been backordered.
cr125honda: Ok.. I placed the order last week. You now know they are back ordered. Why are they still listed as available?
Cami - Customer Care: Because it takes more then just a click of a button to have something removed from our site or changed. The ETA is an ESTIMATEd date of release. It is not certain or guaranteed. And is subject to change at anytime.
Cami - Customer Care: This is why it is estimated.
Cami - Customer Care: And it says
Cami - Customer Care: Usually ships within
Cami - Customer Care: But other other circumstances it will not ship with 24 hours beause it is very popular and has been placed on backorder.
cr125honda: Ok. So your current inventory is not refected on the tires web page and is not updated (click of a button). I understand that it may take a day or two to reflect current inventory but it's well past that. I will have to remember this. I'll check back on the 10th. In the mean time, will there be a problem if I cancel the order between now and then.
Cami - Customer Care: There will be no problem to cancel the order and there will not be any restocking fees for any backordered items.
cr125honda: Ok. Thats all. Good day. Ken
Cami - Customer Care: Your Welcome
Cami - Customer Care: Thanks for visiting us at BikeBandit.com. We hope to hear from you again soon!
Cami - Customer Care: If you need anything else, just give us a "click".
It is just me or does anyone else note the attitude?
On 7/3 part of my order arrives (parts that I would not have ordered, tie-downs and a lock, if their tire prices wern't so low). After reading some of the other ratings, I now understand why they are unable to reflect their current inventory "with a click of a button".
As far as the "popular tire" excuse - they are Dunlop D404 Front Tire (100/90-19) and Dunlop D404 Rear Tire (150/80-16), going on a 1961 Harley. The other large online retailers have them in stock (at least the web site says so).
Today is 7/10. Just checked the order status - still backordered.
I'm off to do the dreaded "live help' now. May have to cancel the order depending on the response I get.
Stay away from BikeBandit.com
Even though their web site shows items in stock, you won't know until after the order is placed."
"Placed an order on November 5th, as of December 1st, order still has not been fulfilled and the company has refused to give me a ship date. Bikebandit refuses to cancel the order without me paying a restocking fee of 20% on a part they don't even have in stock.I ordered the same Polaris part from another company and while they did not have it in stock either, they were able to get it and shipped to me within 7 days. Stay away from this company. Finally got the order cancelled after 28 days and contacting the Better Business Bureau."
"I have placed 3 orders through this company and 2 have been out of stock and were not fulfilled. Their site doesn't notify you if an item is in or out-of-stock before ordering, so you end up ordering and getting an e-mail awhile later notifying you that it's not available. Save yourself a lot of time and shop somewhere else."
"ordered a Clymer manuel #4232 for 2005 Harley got a Clymer manuel #423 for 2003 Harley check with Clymer Publishing and they assured me that Bike Bandit sent the wrong manuel (an older edition) This edition does cover my special edition 2005 model I asked Mark to correct the problem and that they should be responible for return shipping as this is their mistake I explained the to him several times the problem Proved to him that the manuel advertised on their web site is #4232 and no where on the site is #423 listed He continued to tell me Im wrong He sent me an E Mail to accept return shipping costs To send it the way it came Fed Ex is $110 CAN I thougt this is insane as it cost $20USD to ship here To be fair I sent Mark an E Mail to see if he had any options or solutions He has chose to ignore me I feeled cheated as I could buy Clymer #423 on E Bay for $15USD and $10USD shipping not the Approx $33USD & $20USD I paid if I wanted that edition I also asked to be removed from their E Mailings But they keeping coming As if I would deal with again YEA RIGHT Ed Fraser after my review Dave from bike bandit contacted me by phone and we were able to solve my dispute to my complete satisfaction so I no longer have any issue with bike bandit and Im very happy with Daves solution"

This was my 4th conversation with the company. If you buy something "in stock" from them, keep in mind that the company keeps no overhead!!! They don't actually have ANYTHING in stock. Once you order, they place an order from the supplier and it gets shipped to them. After that, they ship to you. It's a very long process if it works. In my case, it didn't work, and the service reps refuse to admit that they don't keep actual stock on location. Consequently they keep you waiting for weeks on end while they figure out what the supplier is doing, and charge you a restocking fee if you try to cancel your order. Even worse is the fact that I checked the site to see if the item was still for sale. Even though they know that they cannot get it shipped, they still list the item as being in stock (it's been a week since they first cancelled my order and admitted that the item was actually back ordered). I'm certain that the sales representative was lying to me each time I called. VERY BAD COMPANY. Reps are a little rude too..."
"Alittle slow on the deliverly. But Ducati parts are difficult to send during august. (Italy takes August off) Part was extactly what I ordered and once shipped quickly arrived."
"I like this store. I've spent quite some time shopping arround and found that BB's prices are very competitive. Nice touch is providing the online diagrams for oem components. Finally, if you're still lost they have a nice live online support.
Representatives are friendly and helpfull.
The only thing I didn't like is that they don't have a real time inventory tracking. As such, I have ordered 2 items, one of which was backordered without certain delivery date. I had to cancel it, but could not add an alternative to the order. That costed me additional S/H charge."
"Bikebandit.com is far and above the best online motorcycle parts store in existence today. Their online parts finder and ordering system is easy, intuitive, and fast. I have been buying online for over 8 years now and have yet to have a purchasing experience that was better than with Bikebandit.com A++++++"
"Great seller. I purchased a muffler and gas tank for my Honda. Was shipped fast and everything arrived in great conditions. They don`t have a 1-800-# but they do reply promptly to the emails. I`d buy again for sure.
