"I have borrowed a nikkor 24-70 2.8 lens from borrowedlenses.com twice and couldn't be happier. The equipment always comes on time and in great shape. I will keep borrowing from them as long as I need them :)"
"Borrowed Canon 85mm Lens and loved! They have Great Service, fast shipping! I called the customer service that I forgot to sent back the lens hood and they are very friendly to me and told me that I could sent it back without a late fee! Would definitely borrow the lenses again from borrowlenses.com!"
"Very efficient and accomodating business. I have rented lenses a few times from them and it couldn't be easier. Very friendly crew that does a great job of keeping you up to date on things."
"I really enjoyed working with borrowlenses.com. Only a couple things though: shipping on my item was more expensive than my lens! My lens was $23/7 days but shipping was $27! That seems a little high. Granted it was supposed to be 2 day shipping but I ordered it on a day that was not aware to me at the time that FedEx did not ship on one of the days so it took 4 days for me to receive it. I didn't like that. They need to offer normal ground shipping to lower that cost. I will definitely use borrowlenses again. Since it was the first time using them it was a hassle since I shipped it to a different address other than my billing. But just a couple of hoops to jump through. Customer service answered all my questions very well although instructions on the site are lacking at best. I had to call for clarification sake. Overall experiance very desirable!"
"Briefly:
The product prices are really low, I couldn't find cheaper place to rent a camera and lenses.
BUT the delivery cost is too high, that makes the overall order cost not too low.
The customer service is not so bad. I asked a coule of questions by email, only one of them was answered, with notice "if you have other questions, we will be glad to answer".. so weird. Then I called them and everything was resolved. So, not too bad.
I will definitely borrow something in future, actually thats a great opportunity to take a chance to use camera or very expensive lens that you would never buy."
"Recently rented a Sony a77 camera body for the holidays and a planned vacation. It was ready as scheduled, in great shape, and I had no issues with it. Returned it as scheduled, no issues...
This is a great place to take a camera for a test drive, or rent some gear for a special project. They care about their gear and customers and have a great selection. Added bonus, they are local to me so I can avoid the mail... Love it!"
"This is the second time I have rented a lens from them and the whole process was quite easy. The lenses were in excellent condition and it was a snap to pack up the lens in the same box and affix the package sticker.
They had a holiday promo to extend the rental period of 10 days if you rented for 10 days or more and it was great having the lens over the holidays.
I would definitely recommend them to friends who want to try out other lenses with their cameras."
"Borrowed the Canon 24-70 f2.8L for a cruise we just took to the Bahamas. The lens arrived just before we left in excellent packaging and very descriptive instructions on how and when to send back. Such a breeze to use this service and this phenomenal lens!"
"If you're looking for a knowledgeable and friendly staff, you have come to the right place! Whether you are a novice or a professional, BorrowLenses.com has what you need. Your questions and concerns are answered promptly, and the staff takes the time to ask you the right questions to help you make the right purchase (loan of the lenses or equipment). The prices are reasonable, allowing consumers access to some of the best and current equipment in the market today. I will be borrrowing from BorrowLenses.com in the very near future. "
"Ordered a Tokina 11-16 ultra-wide lens for a trip to
Hawaii. The lens arrived on time and in great condition. The return label was included and shipping it back was a breeze. I highly recommend this great service and will undoubtedly use it again to explore new lenses for my Nikkon D7000."
"I borrowed three (3) lenses from BorrowLenses.com for a family vacation to central Texas for some wildlife photography...the response time from order, the delivery...on time and the ease of returning the lenses was outstanding. Their customer service was very helpful and complete in their information about the lenses. I would recommend them to anyone who wanted to try lenses at a greatly reduced price before committing to a most costly purchase in some cases (one of the lenses I borrowed was a Tamron 200 - 500mm) and I now understand the limitations associated with a lens like this and they saved me several hundred if not thousands of dollars.
I highly recommend BorrowLenses.com for evaluating possibe lens purchases, especially as you grow as a photographer.
Walter"
"I love what BorrowLenses lets me do. I can rent out lenses that are way too expensive to buy for a pittance of the cost price. My first experience with them saw me renting out a battery grip, a intervalometer, and a Canon 10-22mm UWA lens. The quality of these items was awesome, and I was able to take some really good shots with these.
The folks at the San Mateo office (I picked it up myself, did not ship the items) were helpful, and were knowledgeable."
"BorrowLenses.com was great! I was told about the service from a friend who uses them often. Great service! I loved the lens that I borrowed and am actually thinking about purchasing this lens for my camera. I will definitely use them again!"
"Lens arrived on time. Will rent from BorrowLenses again."
"First time going thru BorrowLenses and reserved a lens 2 weeks prior to the pick up date of 12/27. Arrived at the pick up location only to be told they didn't have my order, that there was a glitch in the system. After a discussion with them about how this was unacceptable and then waiting another hour for it to arrive, I finally got the lens, but had to reschedule the shoot for a later date. Challenging when you have people coming in from out of town with their own tight schedules and agendas. I was able to work with BorrowLenses and got a discounted rate for the gross inconvenience, but if this were a professional shoot, I would've lost clients. I still think they're a good resource for equipment rentals and will probably rent from then again...... but with serious reservations."
