"Every November for the past 3 years, we head to Gatlinburg TN for a few days of relaxing in a cabin in the mountains. One of our favorite places to go is Cades Cove. There is normally a good assortment of wildlife to see. Photography is just a hobby for me, but knowing that there was a good chance we would see some deer and what not, I wanted a good telephoto lens to go on my Nikon D90.

About a month before our trip, I was on Facebook and saw an ad on the side for Borrow Lenses. Previously I had been to our local camera shop to see about rentals, but all they had was off brand lenses. When I visited the borrow lenses website, their prices were in-line with our local shop.

I didn't do any research on them, but just decided to get the 70-200 F2.8 VRII lens, which from what I've seen online is a spectacular lens.

The week before we left I placed my order online at the borrowlenses.com website without any issues. I'm a member of NAPP and did get a discount applied to my order so that helped too.

The lens arrived as scheduled 2-days before we were to leave on our trip. It arrived well packaged and protected. The lens was in fantastic condition and looked brand new.

Needless to say, it worked marvelously during our 4 days in Gatlinburg and I got pictures of deer that I know I would not have been able to get with any other lens (for that rental price of less than $150).

I returned it the following week and received a confirmation email a few days later they had received it and it was in excellent condition.

I have been incredibly pleased with this experience and will rent from them again in the future. Especially since I can't justify spending $2500 on a lens I use once or twice a year!"

"Absolutely horrible customer service. I live in a private culdesac with a closed in porch and they would not allow fedex to deliver without a signature. I work during the day and the guy I spoke with told me it wasnt his problem and that I needed to form my schedule around the delivery. He threatened my liability as a photographer and was completely unhelpful. I paid 45$ for shipping and ended up having to drive 45 minutes to pick up the camera myself. I recommend ATS Rentals, they are MUCH easier to work with."
