"I bought a "Dell" power adapter that turned out not to be made by Dell. When I tried to return it, I couldn't find an email address to contact for the return. I called the phone number, and was dropped into the worst hold queue I've ever experienced. Every few seconds, it would say, "To cancel holding, press 2 now. Otherwise I'll try your party again." Except every once in a while, it would say "To continue holding, press 1." So I had to really stay on the ball and keep pressing 1 at the right times so I wouldn't lose my place. This went on for over 10 minutes. When I finally got a real person, she argued with me and said that the website said it was a generic adapter (it didn't -- it said "Dell Laptop AC Adapter PA-10"). She did process the return, so they've got that going for them, but I wouldn't buy from this store again."

"My shopping experience with this seller is more on the "not so great" side that it is on the "neutral" side. The big complaint I have about this seller was their advertised shipping price that came up at the time of checking out my order. They called to tell me that the price on the website was wrong and that I needed to pay more for standard ground. As a customer, I felt that they should have eaten the difference in cost of the shipping price being that it wasn't my fault that there was a gliche with their website. On top of that I had major issues with the courier that they used to ship the product and now that product had finally arrived, I can honestly say that I wish I had cancelled the order after being told by the customer service rep that the shipping fees on their website was not right. The product itself (SPT Dual Hose Portable Air Conditioner) turned out to be much larger and more cumbersome than what I expected and the window kit is flimsy and is absolute garbage. I doubt I'll be returning to Brilliant Store anytime soon."
"I recently ordered an AC adapter for an Acer laptop from Brilliant through Amazon.com. The unit I received was obviously used and was moderately damaged. The power cord that was pictured in the ad was also missing. The unit is more or less usable, mainly because I still have my old power cord. Since it was a fairly minor purchase, I kept it and spared myself the customer service headaches, but hell will freeze over before I buy anything from Brilliant again. "
"First: I ordered a Whyntner ST-8000C cooler and Brilliantstore shipped a completely different brand (Sungold) available for $50 less on competitor's websites. Although they refunded the price differential when I pointed it out to them, they declined giving me a full refund for wanting to return the product they shipped me.
Second: The product does not work at all the way it is advertised and the manufacturer (Sungold) claims. Although the features are nice (remote, variable speeds, etc) the bottom line is this product does not cool the air AT ALL. It did not change the air temperature one single degree, regardless of the ice packs being in use, or after running for several hours. All it does is blow air, which makes it a very expensive $120 fan.
Third: I paid over $50 in shipping fees plus a 15% restocking fee charged by Brilliantstore, for a whole lot of NOTHING.
Conclusion: This was the biggest boondoggle internet purchase I have ever made. I am completely disappointed with the product they sent me and unhappy about the entire shopping experience on Brilliantstore for not sending me what I ordered and not fully refunding my money, including shipping charges, and then adding insult to injury by charging a 15% restocking fee when they didn't send me what I ordered in the first place.
Save your money. Do not buy an appliance of this type without being able to physically see and feel what you are purchasing to see if the product really does what it claims, and purchasing from a company who completely stands by the products they sell and doesn't penalize the consumer for their mistakes. "
"My advice would be to buy elsewhere. Order placed can take weeks to arrive - if at all - and all calls to the company central office are useless because they are not in communication with their distributors.
Orders are given an expected shipping date which is then always "tomorrow," "tomorrow," "tomorrow" etc. "Tomorrow" of course never comes. "

"Ordered a replacement battery for a camcorder. Prices were competitive, shipment was prompt. However, in the ordering process, I was asked to select my shipping preference from FedEx or UPS (various choices from each company, but only these 2 companies). No problem, I selected FedEx and paid $6.47 for shipping. To my surprise, I received a tracking notice with a USPS tracking number. Anyone who's ever dealt with USPS tracking can tell you that it's next to useless. I feel that since I specified and paid for FedEx shipping, that's what I should have received. I don't so much mind that it was shipped USPS. But I do feel like I should have been made aware of that up front. And I feel like I shouldn't have been charged a premium for FedEx shipping if the vendor was going to then turn around and ship it as cheaply as they possibly can (i.e. USPS), then pocket the difference. As a practical matter, this is simply a slight annoyance. I received the product, in good shape, and it seems to work fine. But I do not feel like I was dealt with honestly with regard to the shipping, and that just doesn't sit right with me. As a result of this, I've asked for my shipping charges to be refunded. Will update if/when I receive a response.

"I ordered a UPS replacement battery and happened to order the wrong kind. I did not know this until it got to my door and I opened the box. The shipping to me was fast. I called and they resolved my issue by issuing an RMA #. They did charge a 15% restocking fee and I said ok as it was my mistake since I ordered the wrong item and their policies do mention a 15% fee. I mailed out the battery and they refunded me the same day they received it back. Very professional. I paid via paypal and they refunded via paypal. A+++ I was not refunded my shipping fees either way which also was understandable as it was my mistake."
