"orderd 41 days ago with their $30 VISA promotion. 1st the system wouldn't take my VISA discount. emailed them for about 15 to 20 times over 25 days period, they always come up with canned answer. 25 days later they finally gave me a gift code as coupon, which did not work either. bunch of emails later(canned answers again), they told me to order first then email them to have the coupon applied manually. OKAY guess what, they refuse to apply the coupon afterward. I then tried to cancel the order by calling them right away: "Sorry too late, item being shipped". I am currently waiting for the pkg so I can submit a RMA and have them ship me a return label so I can return the item.
It takes about 1 to 2 days for them to reply a email message. times that by at least 40 emails I had so far and you'd know it quite a pain in the rear dealing with them.
Buy from Amazon.com because they actually know what customer service is, and they reply email quick and helpful."

"Don't waste your time with these clowns, unless you like aggravation. I placed an order on allegedly in stock items on 11 December 2005. Their site showed that they had been shipped on 15 December BUT there was no tracking information available. It is now 31 December and still no tracking information. One big clue that I didn't see at first is that there is no phone number to contact them.
Other than the automated response from the so called "customer support" there is no reply. Bottom line this site is a rip off, they take your order but you don't get anything. I did a lot of Christmas shopping on line this year, most orders from other companies were placed later than the one to buy.com, the only difference was that I got everything else in time for Christmas except that I still haven't got anything but aggravation from buycom.
Unless you want to end up disputing the charge on your credit card don't order from these guys. Don't put yourself through the hassle, just order somewhere else, where they actually ship your order to you and respond to your emails."

"I placed an order for an item that was in stock. It was not until after 7 days and asking did buy.com notify me that they did not have the item and would not have it. The item was to be a Christmas present that was to arrive the day before Cristmas. Needless to say it did not. Buy.com service did nothing to settle."
"I purchased an external hard drive from this store on 12/21/05 that was listed as in-stock. One week later the product hasn't shipped and is listed as on backorder now. After googling there customer service number (which isn't available on their site), I waited 15 minutes on hold before getting an Indian CSR who couldn't tell me anything other than "it may ship in 2 weeks or a month or longer". I promptly cancelled the order and ordered the same product from amazon.com for $30 more. I've used buy.com starting years ago but not recently and it seems like their service has gone downhill."
"VERY SATISFIED. I placed an order of Verbatim DVD+R DL 8.5GB 2.4X - 6X 10Pk Spindle (Manufacture SKU:95166). I read all the bad reviews on this site before placing the order and was very skeptical. But then I went to the Verbatim web site and when I click to place an order BUY.COM is listed as one of the authorized retailer. At the time I placed the order, they were giving the best price with NO SHIPPING. I choose budget shipping (FREE SHIPPING) and was told that my oder will take extra time to ship. But my order was shipped the very next day. I even received the FedEx Ground shipping tracking email to track my order. I rceived the order after 2 days of it being shipped.
Not sure, I got lucky or the managment/process has improved. But I am very happy with my purchase."

Item purchased on 12/12/25 after I was assured 7-10 days shipping, maximum. Item arrived 12/27/05, 2 DAYS AFTER CHRISMAS!! (15 days after I was told it would take 7-10 days to get here).

"I purchased an mp3 player for Christmas as a gift. I placed the order on 12/16/2005 and paid for express delivery. I kept checking on the item which either said warehouse or sent to shipping. On 12/22/2005 I sent an email to them asking why they have not shipped the item. On 12/23/2005 they sent me an email saying the item was no longer available and no other item would be shipped in it’s place. Nice!!
Bottom line is they were not going to bother to tell me the item was no longer available until I asked. I sent another email asking for the supervisor or customer service and a phone number, got back the same canned response that there was no longer available.
Bottom line. DO NOT order anything from Buy.com, you will get NO customer service if there is a problem. Shame on you Buy.com, you screwed up my Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"I purchased a set of Logitech speakers from Buy.com, the Z-5500 505W. They arrived quickly, but with a hole punched in the shipping box. Buy.com shipped the retail box inside another box so the speakers were still in perfect condition, even with the damage to the shipping box.
The price for the speakers was the lowest I could find online, and there was also a rebate making it even lower. It took a bit longer then I expected, but I did receive the rebate last week. I will buy from them again."
"I received a Buy.com Gift Certificate for trading in a old computer to Dealtree (which is linked to Buy.coms website). There was no Gift Certificate number or Claim Code, so I could not redeem it. I emailed them about it and never received a reply. I found the phone number for the Call Center and that too has been a nightmare. It was their mistake and they take no responsibility."
"Don't buy anything from them, 2 of my items showed up as in stock then went from processing - at warehouse then back to processing at least 3 times until it finally said it was on order. I placed an order on Dec. 14th and only received one item as of Dec. 23rd. There has been absolutely no communication other than my sending them several unanswered e-mails. This was my first and definitely last time I will ever order from them."
