"NEVER, NEVER EVER ORDER FROM HERE! Shame on me for not reading these reviews before I ordered from Buy.com. They do not honor their price match guarantee! I found an item at circuitcity.com the day after I placed my order with Buy.com. Through their own help site under price match guarantee, I sent all the required information to get my credit. Even though I sent this in less than 24 hours, after a couple of emails later, they said they couldn't help me because it was over the 3 days and they had no record of my request. I then called a toll free number I found on the internet. It turns out that after being on hold for about 30 minutes, I was speaking to "Sandra" in New Delhi India that basically told me too bad! "
"NEVER, EVER BUY FROM BUY.COM. I made this order for a $232 item. Buy.com shipped it to an incorrect address. When I told them about this (only through email since they have NO PHONE SUPPORT), they took 3 weeks to decide on sending me a replacement. But guess what, THEY SENT IT ALSO TO THE WRONG ADDRESS. Now, they say they will not send another one and they are ignoring my cries. This is crazy. If you want your order, please never buy from them. As you can tell, I'm extremely ticked off at their support staff who blundered and lost me a $237 item!"

"Are you looking for trouble? Do you have so much free time you can waste to get your order sorted out? Do you love to hear never ending "please hold, next available customer service representative will be with you shortly" loops over and over again? If your answer is yes to all, then you found your type of online retailer. If you are persistent enough to get through and talk to someone, just because they say they have corrected the mistake doesn't mean they did. I tried to get a dead on arrival cell phone (one of the two I've ordered) to be replaced with advance exchange (I pay for the replacement phone and they credit it once they receive the faulty phone) but all I heard was repeated "company policy doens't permit that" over and over again. On top of that one of the reps threatened me eith hanging up and putting a flag on my number not to be answered if I insist. I ordered two cell phones with numbers to be ported from my current provider. They assigned the numbers to wrong phones. They set a date for activation in the future, therefore even though I have the phones with me but cannot activate another four days. This is after I called and asked the date to be changed to today and having been told that it is updated to do so.
In short, you have long free hours to deal with them to sort things out, go ahead, you won't be dissapointed. "
"I hadn't ordered from Buy.com in many years, and I decided to order again from them since I found a good deal on some blank DVDs. I ordered two things from them, and they ended up shipping separately. A USB cable came about a week later, and it worked fine. Several days later, the DVDs came, but were in bad shape. The spindle of the 100 DVD package broke, sending discs sliding all around the box. Buy.com coordinated the sale through Amazon.com apparently, based on the Amazon.com printing on the box. Amazon typically packs their shipments poorly, and this was no exception. I have yet to contact anyone about remedying this situation, and it probably won't be worth the hassle. Buy.com sure isn't what they used to be."
"Company did not honor price match. Bought some headphones on Nov 27 then found a lower price on Nov 30 on the buy.com web site. Multiple emails with buy.com failed to resolve the price match. Customer service had several reasons not to price match: request more than 3 days after purchase (wrong, I made the request 3 days after purchase), did not qualify due to shipping promotion (wrong, both the original and new price had free shipping), request more than 3 days after purchase again (wrong for same reasons), then just no (like the Capital One commercial, but not as funny). Lot's of bad customer service over $12 savings. It would be better not to have a price match policy instead of working so hard to not honor one."
"Ordered wireless optical keyboard and mouse and a USB/Parallel cable on December 1st. While items were shipped separately, they both arrived at my home together Tuesday, December 6th. Both what I ordered and well packaged. I was very pleased with service. Buy.com kept me informed with tracking numbers."

"AVOID buy.com at all costs! They are swindlers. I ordered a Treo from them with a $100 rebate. The rebate is structured (they don't tell you this up front) that you have to mail it in exactly between 180 and 210 days. I did that, and still, they denied me the rebate, claiming that it was postmarked too late. What baloney! I called in and got the runaround redirecting me to two different rebate processing companies. Don't be fooled like I was! Buy.com sucks! They don't honor their rebates!"
"This place stinks both in service and customer service. I ordered a video game on monday 11/28/05 and was "sent to warehouse" status on tuesday and as of friday it still had not shipped!!! after sending a e-mail to cancel my order so I could get it elsewhere that friday I was informed that a "request" was issued to cancel it but that it may still ship!!!! Here it is monday 12/05 and I still have no confirmation of my cancellation!!!! This place really stinks and I will never buy from them again."
"This a very interesting trick, that I have met first time. It was a one day rebate offer on October, 22. I placed my order exactly this day and this was Saturday, they shipped my order on Tuesday and rebate was denied because date in shipping list mismatched with rebate offered date, even though registered order date October 22 and all papers were sent to them.
Now exist a lot of different internet stores and I will awoid this one in the future."
"I ordered a USB light from them. The next day, they sent me an email saying there would be a slight delay in filling the order. True to their word, it shipped out about three days later. Although I wish they could have sent the item sooner, they kept me informed and shipped me the right item, and it arrived well packaged and worked perfectly."
"I have purchased a cellphone from this website. And since it didnt arrive in 3 days, I call up the customer service and they say they do not have the order even though it is listed on the website. It is then I find out that Buy.com is also the front of much maligned www.inphonic.com
I call up the Buy.com to verify the order and they jerk me around few times between their customer serivce department and their wireless customer service (inphonic's rather) and finally they tell me they cant fulfill the order and send an email to me saying that the order is canclled. I email them and ask them to confirm it and they do.
Lo and behold, 2 weeks after the email exchange about cancellation, I receive an email saying that my order has been shipped and my credit card has been charged. I call their customer service and the same experience repeat again and they tell me to reject the shipment.
I am still waiting on the refund on my credit card and have disputed the claim.
3 Days later I get a bill from the cell phone company and I had to call them up to cancel the service because, I have neither received the shipment nor used it.
This has been my singularly worst internet buying experience ever. My email exchanges have been going on for about a month now and I am angry beyond words. These guys know how to test my patience. "
"I think I have seen everything. I order one of the new Canon Digital cameras from Buy.com. I used the standard shipping and the box showed up about 3 days later, I was quite impressed at this point.
Then I opened the shipping box. I looked inside and there was a Canon box that looked crushed / ripped on the front edge. I thought for sure it was dammaged but no, the entire camera was gone!! The manuals and the CDROM where in there but no camera, charger, battery anything. It had to be packed that way because the FedEx box was in perfect shape.
So I sent in a claim using their web site and I got the standard form email stating they would get back to me in 10 hours. Well 36 hours later I have heard nothing. So I decided to call and guess what, off to India I go. All he did was fill out anouther claim stating that it would take 3 to 5 business days before they look at it. I let you know what happend in 5 days. I do have the credit card on speed dial ready to dispute that charge though.

Well they made good on the screw up. They "filed a claim" and sent me a new camera overnight. During the "claim" process I had no idea what was going on.
If something goes wrong with your order, all I can say is be patient. There will be about 5 to 6 days where you can't talk to anyone and you will hear nothing until the item shows up.
This would be a great store if the customer service was a bit better. Maybe that is why I save $50 though."
"No doubt they have very competitive price, but if you want to contact customer service - there is no even phone number. Send 4 e-mails: no answer.
They sold me Microsoft Street and trips 2006 with $10 rebate, but only specially marked units qualify. Guess what? My unit is not marked - means no rebate for me. There are thousand more people who have the same problem with buy.com. Well $10 rebate something that I can live without.
But if you have any other problem with your purchase - you on your own.
