"Purchased a laptop with two day shipping. Received an email stating the unit was shipped, but shipper never received it. After three emails to them, an online chat and a phone call-which was never returned-have not received any communication from buy.com as to where the shipment is located. Buy.com is a member of a large multinational organization that has little regard for customer service. Now the hassle of getting a refund for my vapor ware.
UPDATE: I canceled the order on 2-11-11 and on 2-14-11 I received an email that a NEW order has been placed for the same item. I did not place it. Some idiot with in their company must have done this even though I canceled the order and have an email to verify that. It seems that this company needs to review the qualifications of their employees. They also need a more direct line of communications with the customer. From their web site you can not contact them directly, either by phone or by email. They do not return phone calls and rarely return emails. Also there is no way to REPLY to any of their emails. Another retailer goes off my buy list."
"While your service was good, the product appears not to be as reliable as I thought (Eee Box PC). Firts at all, I dont like at all the word processor (MS Word Starter)it's incomplete and not really helpful. Actually I had to installe a better version myself (paying for it). One CD was stuck in the reader mechanism. After 5 intents the CD was finally release. Ir makes me very unconfortable and I'm thinking of returning it. "

Now their agent failed to make a return delivery as agreed, they can't deliver the product I have ordered, and delaying the money return. Not a word about compensation or discounts!

"I've bought from buy.com for years, without many issues. Unfortunately, recently I encountered a pretty serious issue with an order that was canceled even though the merchant has the product in stock. I've spoken to several customer service reps and received no fewer than four vastly different responses regarding the situation. I even caught one of the reps in an outright lie (and I had a chat transcript to prove it). You'd think that a company would care enough about a long term customer to make this right (sometimes, when you seriously mess up, you may need to forget about your bottom line for a second, lest the situation come to bite you). Alas, buy.com does not seem to care much. I will most certainly make sure not to give them my business again, and you should too. Amazon.com and newegg.com would *never* let this type of customer service blunder happen.

"I purchased an Asus Motherboard days before Intel announced a faulty chipset problem. After researching this online, all major etailers are offering 2 options for return of this board. 1) Return defective product immediately for a refund or 2) RMA product when suitable replacements are in stock for RMA customers in a month and a half or so.
BUY.com only supports the first option. So if I returned my product to buy.com, I would be without a computer until a replacement motherboard would be available to purchase for everyone else in an estimated 3 months.
This is unacceptable for me...luckily Asus themselves are handling option number 2 for anyone who purchased from companies such as Buy.com who refuse to work with them.

"My first time ordering from Buy.com and it has been a nightmare. I ordered a laptop at 9AM on 2/7/11 with next day delivery. The item is still in processing state. I called to se what was going on with my order because i was having it delivered to me at work instead of at home. The have my order on hold because my delivery address doesn't match my billing address.. Which really wouldnt be a problem except i paid for the next day delivery (shipping and trying to get them tio rebate me the difference for the shipping was a hassle. "
