I placed an order from buy.com and asked them to ship it to my home address. Instead of shipping it to my home, they shipped it to an alternate address that was in my profile. This alternate address was an ex-employer and when they delivered the package there, it was never forwarded to me. I complained to buy.com and they refused to acknowledge their mistake - they insisted that I asked to have the package sent to the wrong address. Despite my pointing out that nowhere in any of their order invoices/email confirmations do they indicate the "ship to" address, they refused to budge. I will taking all my online business elsewhere.

I only make purchases when they have the best price and right now they offer free shipping for orders over $99 and under 20 lbs. My order came on the second day from the time I put the order in. "Placed an order late Friday evening 08/04/06 and sent them 2 emails early Saturday morning 08/05/06 to cancel the order. On Saturday, the order details on their website reflect that Cancellation was Requested. However, On Sunday night 08/06/06 at 10:32PM they sent me an email advising that the order was being shipped and a UPS tracking no. was provided. Up to Monday at 5:30PM ET 08/07/06 UPS had no details of this tracking number as yet.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY as they do not reply to emails sent to them, they do not respond to customers needs and THEY DO NOT PROVIDE ANY TELEPHONE NO. FOR CONTACTING THEM.
I will never purchase from them again.

I have been purchasing from them over two years now and have never failed to be impressed with their service. My latest order was for a Sony digital camera and memory stick. Buy.com is not always the cheapest price on the net, but this time they were, by far. Time from order placement to receipt at doorstep: 51 hours. Shipping cost: Zero! Items just as promised, in new, original condition. Downside: are you kidding? BTW, they *do* have a telephone number, only it's not an 800 number. But hey - with service like this, why do you need to call them? Highly recommended."

The WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE... They do NOT HAVE PHONE you can call to! It is impossible to answer on their e-mails via e-mail program by hitting "Reply". I tried to do it 4(!) times. Every time I got auto acknowledgement of receiving - that's it! Nobody answered. You can still try to send e-mail via their WEB page - messages are answered but it is total miscommunication - they didn't bother to find previous messages from you and you have to explain situation again and again and again... Totally frustrating experience! They screwed up 2 my last orders: The first order was cancelled after 1 month of waiting (item was shown is in stock when order was placed!!!). In the second time they shipped wrong item and I haven't any luck on my multiple requests for getting replacement - not refund. I even not quite sure how they will handle the refund they sent me similar but cheaper item. It will not be a big surprise for me now if they will try to give me refund as I would buy the cheaper item... The prices are low but DO NOT EXPECT to receive good service for your money here!

If you're looking for a company to make your own pc case badges or logos then look no further than this outfit called www.securisysagency.com. (odd name for such a great company!)
It took me a year to make up my mind to order from this company but I'm glad I did. This is really a cool company that specializes in PC DOME case badges,labels and stickers for custom built computer cases. They even can help you design you own custom logo, artwork, keyboard, monitor and port identification stickes and badges.
Pretty much everything the custom builder or build to order specialist like myself needs. You can supply your own artwork or like I said have them supply it for you. *I know this sounds almost like a commercial but I wanted to give you all a sense of what this company offers.
Another thing is that this company seems to be a UK outfit. Because when I did a trace on their web address www.securisysagency.com it came back registered to a UK company. I only mentioned that because it seemed odd at first BUT they do do great work and at a reasonable price. Shipping is by USPS and is also very reasonable.
Their turn around time is about a 1 week to 10 days. I would say it's best to know what you want your case badges to look like before you order. Yes they can help with the artwork if you need it. Don't plan on being in a hurry either most pc Dome badge makers on average take about the same time to deliver.
All I can say is that after ordering from them that they do pretty excellent work and the material used to manufacture my 1x1 case badges were very good.
Correspondence can be done by email. However they do have a U.S. phone number (although it isn't toll free) you can call with any questions regarding your order.
I highly recommend this vendor without hesistation.

"I had to cool off before giving an opinion.
I ordered a WinTV USB tuner for my laptop for $85.95 plus a shipping fee of $7.68 for an overnight delivery. I could have purchased the same card at CompUSA for about the same price.
The WinTV Go was listed as in stock on Friday afternoon. I didn't expect it to ship until Monday as most companies don't run thier shipping departments on the weekends. I checked the status Monday morning again and noticed it was still "sent to warehouse" status. I also noticed that the shipping address was the same as the billing address which I specifically put in my Florida address in the "ship to" line as there isn't anyone in NY to accept the delivery. I corrected it on their site and also sent them an email with the correct shipping info. I also asked why it's now Monday afternoon and the order still is showing as the same status??
Tuesday - same thing. The status was "sent to warehouse" and the shipping address hadn't been corrected. I sent another email. I just received an email stating that the order had been shipped, thank you for shopping Buy.com?????????
Nobody listening? Now the order is gonna be dropped off on my front porch in the snow. I'll have to send someone over and have them ship it to me in Florida. That tuner just cost me a lot of time and aggrevation - not to mention the happy friend I have go and pick it off my front porch, drive a half hour to UPS and send it out:(.
I average about $2000 a month in purchasing computer components on the net for my builds. As a rule of thumb, I don't order from a company that doesn't have an 800 number for a contact. I also call and place the order to get a feel for thier attitude and customer service. I didn't follow my general rule and this is what happened. This was for personal use and $100. I would be pretty hot right now if I had ordered $1000+ and couldn't get anyone on the phone.
To sum, IMO, go to Pricewatch.com and search what your looking for, check the retailers rating, read the comments, order from a company that has a phone and people willing to help. Buy.com isn't one of those companies - STAY AWAY!!

"Buy.com has done fair by me. Some products are priced higher than other sites on the internet. Generally, they have a larger selection that some other sites. I've also had some damaged products come, but the RMA process was very smooth - they even use your printer to print a prepaid UPS return label for the package to be sent back!"

"This started out really well: good price, good communication and fast shipping.
Unfortunately, the Linksys WAP/router was dead on arrival.
Still, looking good from buy.com. Got an RMA # from their web site and even a printable return shipper.
That's when things went sour. I got no acknowledgment that they received the unit. Time went by and no credit appeared. I sent another email. Response said wait 5 to 7 business days. Waited, no luck, sent another.
As of today, I still have not received a credit. They devote a large amount of web space to telling customers how long they can expect to wait for a refund. That tells me that they tend to take a long time. I don't know that I'd buy from this outfit again. This is turning in to a very bad experience...."
