They will not tell you they don't have it, you have to force them to admit that they always say "it's in stock" nomatter what. NO PHONE! "I have been a long-time customer of Buy.com, especially for Christmas gifts, but haven't purchased anything recently, at least until last week when I ordered two optical wheel mice. I placed order on-line Sunday, and the shipment was on my doorstep Tuesday morning! Excellent packaging, and relieved to see that their quality service has remained in tact! I'll not hesitate to order from Buy.com again if the price is reasonable for the product I want. Definitely can't go wrong with them!

"Buy.com is so popular among novice online buyers, it does not have to offer quality customer service any more to sell a product.
Their prices are more or less average and they definitely do not offer the best deals when there are so many other resellers with better prices and a customer service dept that Buy.com seems to lack.
Their online order status never matches the actual status of the order. Most of the time, it will say "Sent to Warehouse" when I have already received it at my door. 3 days after I receive it, they will send an email with the tracking number and a thank you note. WTF?
Also I don't have to point out that they use the extremely unreliable UPS. And their shipping prices aren't that great either. For example, they would ship a speaker system weighting 35-40 pounds for $42 via UPS Ground, when another reliable reseller I know would ship the same item for only $25 via Fedex 3-day Saver. What a rip-off. Let's not even get to their 2nd day and overnight shipping prices.
Once I cancelled one of my orders (within 3 hours of placing it), while it was still saying "Sent to Warehouse" on the order status page, only to find the item arrive at my door step few days later. I refused to accept it from UPS, since I had already cancelled my order, before they *said* it was shipped. And it took over 1 and 1/2 months get a refund for this very expensive item. And believe me, getting that was not easy from a company that not even have phone number to contact.
Their customer service is really a joke. How can a company carry on a business without having a phone number customers can use?
Web based customer support is nothing like a real time chat with your customer. It's pretty plain how much they value their customers...

Unfortunately they must not have had enough in stock. Because after a few days, they sent me an e-mail saying that they were still looking for the item. Finally after week after placing the order, it shipped. The shipping was free (since the router was over $99)...but I guess that you get what you pay for. The NetGear router box was dropped into a larger box without *any* additional packaging material. I was a little dismayed and concerned when I opened the box. But fortunately the router worked like a champ right out of the box! I will buy from Buy.com in the future if the price is exceptional and if I'm not in a hurry."
"I got a great price on a wireless router/access point (d-link 713p) that I purchased from buy.com. I ended up having problems with the unit that d-link support was unable to fix. Once d-link suggested that I return the unit to buy.com, I contacted buy.com online to get an RMA, received all the necessary documents, dropped off the package at my local UPS center, (buy.com paid for the shipping) and that was it! buy.com credited my account for the proper amount in a timely fashion. This was my first time ever having to return something I purchased online and buy.com made it easy and pain-free. While they do not have the best price for everything, if you take some time to check, you will find that you can save some coin using this company. Highly recommended."
