"I placed an order for a television at Buysquad.com that I later ended up canceling through no fault of theirs. Through the process I ended up talking to a few of their customer service representatives. Each person was extremely friendly and if they couldn't answer my question I was quickly transferred to someone who could. Overall, Buysquad.com is clearly focused on keeping their customer happy and giving some great prices.
I do have to agree with other reviews though that the free shipping on larger tv's is actually going to cost $80 for the insurance. The writing is definitely in the shipping literature but it isn't immediately obvious on the product screen. When the customer service rep brings it up be sure not to worry since it isn't an up sell - just policy. In the end, between the lack of sales tax and low prices to begin with, $80 for shipping is still giving you a great deal!"
"This review will be revised upon delivery, but here's a review on my purchasing experience to date:
I placed an order for a 65" tv on 2/9/13. The order status was 'pending' through today, 2/11, and so I called to check in on the order and make sure the TV was in stock. This is where (as you'll see in other reviews) I learned about a mandatory insurance charge for TVs over 40". I was a bit nervous about this since the charge is very reminiscent of gray market upsell tactics of camera shops in NYC.
However, my concerns were alleviated:
- The sales attendant, Ivan, was able to show me in the online Terms of Service where the mandatory insurance fee is indicated.
- After conclusion of conversation/order, the insurance fee was very clearly indicated on my online order form, as well as any accessories, etc. that I had purchased.
I would still recommend that Buysquad provide an indication of this fee in large print over each item where this applies ("This TV is subject to a mandatory shipping insurance rate of ..."). I think they'll find that most potential customers will still be very willing to purchase since Buysquad's prices are VERY competitive and they're tax-free in my state - a huge win for those of us who have to deal with expensive state taxes from BestBuy, Amazon, Fry's, etc. Ivan indicated that their online system doesn't yet have any method for being able to tell the size of the TVs they're selling, and thus there's no way for them to indicate this fee in their shopping cart. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
About Ivan:
He was very courteous and easy to work with, and was willing to re-explain the insurance fee, available accessory items, etc. He also allowed me time to re-calculate final price, and also gave me time to think about tacking on a separate warranty for the TV - "Just call my extension after receiving the TV."
All-in-all, in spite of the insurance fee, happy at this point in the purchasing process. I'm temporarily providing a neutral 3-star rating until conclusion of delivery, but things are looking good so far!"

"I was in the market for a solid HTIB and TV. I decided on a Samsung TV and a Bose audio system. I started watching prices for over 3 weeks and I found buysquad had the lowest cost constantly. I made the purchase online. I happen to be in the same city as one of there warehouse (they have 4 warehouses) so I get the TV in 2 days. I was amazed. "I ordered my monster 90 Inch TV on Friday late afternoon from BuySquad
and as promised, it showed up at my door in San Diego 4 days later the
following Tuesday. This was much faster delivery than any of the other
sites offered. I live on the third floor of a condo with a smallish
elevator, so getting it into my place was going to be a
challenge. Steven, the delivery guy was super awesomo about it,
generally positive with a great can-do attitude. We ended up unboxing
it on the first floor and he single handedly muscled it at a funky
angle into the elevator and then helped me get it onto the stand and
into my place. Overall it was a great experience given the difficult
situation. If you order a large TV you should know there is a 4%
insurance charge and you'll need to call them to confirm your order,
but this seems standard across all of the sites I was considering
buying from. Also: measure your elevator beforehand and account for 8
inches of padding in each direction.

"I was very upset because the TV I ordered was discontinued by Sharp and I had a whole wall of TVs I needed to match for my design. I ended up getting a newer TV from Buysquad the 2013 model for a lot less then the original TVs I purchased from Amazon and I got as little discount because I purchased 8 units in one shot. The process of the purchase was standard online purchase and there were a free HDMI cables that were thrown in. I also was able to get a better cost on the extended warranty for 5 years. I would rate them as a top player in this electronics industry. Take care "
"I had a poor experience with BuySquad originally. I bought a set of 3D glasses and was sent the wrong pair. I tried to return them but was not getting any response from customer service. It took a PayPal case to get my money back. I was at first offered only a partial refund by BuySquad. I refused this, and won the Paypal Case so eventually got a full refund by fighting.
Since I posted my original review, I was contacted by Mark, the floor manager, who was apologetic and sympathetic to my experience. He listened to my complaints and assured me he would look into my order and take steps so this kind of treatment did not happen again. In fact, he offered to make it right and gave me an additional credit towards a future purchase. This was a very decent resolution to a bad purchase.

"Just received a 70" Sharp TV and Blue Ray from BuySquad.com. Both seem to work, but this was not a great experience. The Blue Ray player is refurbished. This is not stated on their web-site. Also, they upsold a mandatory $104 shipping insurance after the sale. They don't send e-mail notifications. Everything seems a bit shady. Avoid this vendor."

After some confusion re: model of TV being sent after paying, a 2nd cust. Rep. gave me the CORRECT info. So far, Buysquad has lived up to what they said,sold. Product came w/in time frame, package very well and in in xcellent shape.
The "class Re-certified" tag DOES give one to pause. Speaking w/ a Sharp rep., they had no idea what it meant. Some people say it's like refurbished, but BuySq. Disagrees. They sorta say it's le an overstock that's returned to Manufacturer for not selling and checked out, then out to sell again, etc.
The set CERTAINLY DOES SEEM BRAND NEW, and factory sealed. I hope so.
My only other concern was the xtra $53 for ship. Insurance. Since it states Free ship. It does mentioned this this somewhere on their site tho. Hard to find when buying tho.
OVERALL, tho some things weren't spelled out clearly via web site, and I read some of the "bait/switch" reviews... right now ALL IS WHAT was stated by the company. On Day 2, I AM satisfied!

The HDMI cable situation was resolved promptly and completely (and then some). They both were very apologetic and was promised that their miserable telephone response issues would be "looked into".

"I recently purchased a Sharp 80" 3D LED TV from BuySquad.com. I bought the tv from them because they offered a great price. I already knew about shipping insurance fee from checking other sites. Since I added the white glove delivery, the insurance was included in the shipping fee. Glad I got the white glove delivery. Product arrived great within one week of placing my order and everything went smooth with delivery. Trucking company even called me 30 minutes ahead of actual delivery to give me advance notice they were coming.
After delivery, I had some concerns and talked to Mark Davis ext. 203 in Buy Squad customer service. He took excellent care of me and addressed my concerns to 100% of my satisfaction. This made my wife very happy. Thank you Mark and Buy Squad for going the extra mile to provide excellent customer service! I'll be back and would recommend Buy Squad to anyone to check out.
