"Ordered wrong part size, called back within 2 hours but item had already been processed. They said they would sent a replacement, correct size, without any addition charge."
"I had been having a lot of trouble with my previous supplier -not returning calls, shipping supplies, surly telephone manners. I found CPAP.com and had my doctor send the prescription. However, although the prescriptions was correct, it had the wrong name on it. The individual helping me at CPAP.com was able to get it worked out and had my supplies shipped in good time."
"Had a hard time getting the prescription from my doctor; cpap.com did a great job following through to make sure I got my machine. I wouldn't hesitate to work with them in the future. "
"Even after my insurance paid their part, I was left with $14 on one month's filters for my cpap. Shopping CPAP.com I was able to get 6 months of filters, cleaner and an additional filter I wanted to try for about the same price!"
"I had good experience ordering my cpap mask. It was simple and straightforward from the moment I called to inquire about cpap mask. "
"your company chased and chased the doctor until you received the prescription then filled It straight away
Great. service"
"I phoned CPAP.COM for info and understanding regarding my hope to use my ICON CPAP while hunting elk at very high elevation (12,000' ele) out of my tiny 7'x12' uninsulated cargo trailer next October, while bushwacking off any and all electrical power grids in the San Juan Mountains of SW Colorado.
Other local experts whom I had asked were unable to answer my questions. But CPAP.COM's staff were able to cut to the chase, by assuring me of the following:
1) My specific CPAP, an ICON machine with heated humidity and hose, can use only 120-Volt AC (household-level) power; it cannot run directly on 12-Volt DC power (unless it is first "stepped up" to household-level AC power by means of an INVERTER (NOT a CONverter).
2) They also informed me that my ICON CPAP would draw about 75 or so Watts of 120-Volt electricity continuously when running on regular 120-volt household-level electrical power, like at home or when "plugged-in" at a modern campground.
(Note that: My little trailer uses a 12-Volt, DC, Deep-Marine type of (boat) Battery, which I can re-charge daily with my attached pickup vehicle, or with a small solar-power device. This is typical for camping "off the power grid" in backcountry situations for people who nevertheless need some amount of electrical power.)
3) CPAP.COM informed me that the 300/600 Watt INVERTER (NOT CONverter) that I ordered from them (for about $100), in order to "step-up" my 12-Volt DC Battery Power to the 120-Volt AC (household-level) power, as required by my ICON CPAP, will indeed run my ICON CPAP both sufficiently and efficiently, through "multiple 8 to10-hour nights before I will need to re-charge my 12-volt DC Deep Marine trailer Battery (by running my truck engine with the trailer plugged-in, for an hour or so). To run the ICON, I will simply connect the two supplied small cables to the 12-Volt Battery, turn on the INVERTER, and plug-in and turn on my ICON. Then, Pleasant Dreams of elk all night long !!! I tested this setup over a full 10-hour night in my home (without the elk, of course). The CPAP ran fine off the Inverter and Battery, and the 12-Volt battery was drawn down only about 20-25 percent by morning.
3) CPAP.COM also informed me that the Optimal ambient operating temperature for my ICON CPAP is 41 degrees fahrenheit, and that it might not be able to run continuously at all below 32-F, a temp that can easily happen at 12,000 ' elevation in mid-October, even in SW Colorado . . . I'll find out, perhaps the "hard way." If things tend to freeze up, I will try it running the ICON without water or humidity.
4) At their urging, I also bought from them (for about $15) a nice flannel cover for my CPAP hose (7-feet long, NOT 6-feet), to ward off any freezing of the humidity passing through it all night.
AS YOU CAN SEE HERE, CPAP.COM's STAFF WERE VERY, VERY HELPFUL TO ME, BY PATIENTLY PROVIDING EXPERT AND USEFUL INFO AND UNDERSTANDING THAT NO OTHER NEARBY "EXPERTS" HAD A COMPREHENSIVE HANDLE ON.
AS CHIEF JOSEPH OF THE NEZ PERCE SAID: "FROM WHERE THE SUN NOW STANDS, I (NEED SEARCH NO MORE FOREVER!), I WILL FIGHT NO-MORE FOREVER ! ! !"
THANK YOU, CPAP.COM ! ! ! SEMPER FI, USMC.
