"I recently had an idea to adjust a design that is offered by CafePress. I sent the suggestion to CafePress and they relayed my idea to the independent designer. She accepted my suggestion and adjusted her design. CafePress was quite accommodating, and very easy to work with.

I wasn't surprised because that has always been my experience with CafePress - whether I am constructing my own design or buying a product from them with a standard design.

"I ordered a shirt and was not happy with the size. The description stated that shirt would run small and I ordered accordingly, but was surprised at how the style ran even smaller that I expected. Customer service went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our purchase by offering to replace at no charge. I really appreciate the fantastic service I received. I will definitely order from CafePress again because of their great service. "

"I ordered a license plate frame from this site and was extremely disappointed. The phrase that is printed on the frame is so small (less than size 12 font) that anyone who wants to read what the frame says has to get up really close. Anyone driving behind me cannot see what it says. And I didn't want to return it because CafePress does not pay for the return shipping. In addition, and they make you fill out a form, send it in, wait for it to be processed, etc. The reason why I give two stars is because the frame was good quality metal, not cheap plastic. "

"I ordered a coffee cup for my husband that has the lone cypress tree on it. Half of the cup is simply boring white and the other half has a smallish picture of the lone cypress tree which is nice. I ordered an inscription for the cup that was not done. I am sooo disappointed in this purchase, a purchase that was overpriced. This was a replacement coffee cup for a cup my husband has had for over thirty years. The coffee cup represents the many years over twenty years that we have gone to Carmel by the sea."

"I am absolutely, positively amazed and satisfied with the level of customer service I have received from CafePress. I ordered a maternity shirt and followed their sizing guide. Unfortunately, it did not fit as well as I had planned. So, I asked for a return label and was aware that i could return my item and get a refund (minus the initial shipping charges) I was pleasantly surprised to receive a prompt response on my return request as well as a quick refund process - and bets of all I don't have to go through the painful process of returning the item. CafePress understood and acknowledged the inconvenience and offered to let me keep the shirt. WOW! You bet I will be returning to CafePress for my future needs and referring them to everyone I know. Thank you CafePress!"

"My girlfriend ordered me a shirt from CafePress. I LOVE the shirt, but they accidentally sent the wrong size. I sent an email to them concerning the problem yesterday (Saturday, 2/9), and actually got a response today (Sunday, 2/10). Amazingly speedy customer service response, and on a Sunday, no less! They will send me a new shirt in the correct size ASAP. Because of the problem, the rep told me not to bother sending the improper sized shirt back! Very cool! I will DEFINITELY be going back to CafePress for more products in the future!"

"I ordered four t-shirts using a custom photo I uploaded. When they arrived, the photo had been cropped in an unexpected way, making the shirts unusable. I contacted cafepress support. They have been very friendly and positive about fixing the problem. However, it has taken eight emails so far; each one gets a new response from a different person; that person seems to have no knowledge of the previous discussion, even though I can see it all in the email trail. Very frustrating on my end, like talking to a person with Alzheimer's.

I had to change the aspect ratio of the image since their process seems to assume a fixed ratio, even though I can't find anywhere that's documented. They apparently don't check for such problems on their end before printing and shipping.

I think I'm going to get the shirts I wanted, but feel like I've invested hours in doing so.

"And friend bought me a shirt at cafe press, and due to some confusion ordered the wrong style. I contacted cafe press and the customer service was excellent. They actually offered to replace the shirt free of charge. Honestly the best customer service I have ever had with an online store. Would highly recommend!"

"Worst customer service I have experienced as a professional.

I ordered 12 custom mugs on Cafe Press to be used as props on a national TV show I'm working on. I needed them in about 9 business days, so standard shipping might have done, but I wanted to be sure, so I paid $35 for a "Premium" shipping rush order. Figured I would see the mugs in the 2-3 days that it estimated. The 8 days flew by and I lost track of time, so I didn't even realize the mugs had not arrived until the day before the show!

I couldn't find a phone number, so I emailed Cafe Press twice to inquire. Only automated responses. I finally located a phone number and called. They said they weren’t sure, but thought the mugs had not even been created yet! I figured, OK, it's early Thursday and I don't need them until Friday night, so please expedite the order and overnight. They told me that's exactly what they were going to do and they would call me back with a tracking number. Hours go by, no tracking number. I call again and ask for the tracking number, and the next customer service rep says her supervisor knows what's going on with the order, but "he's at lunch, so he'll call you back." I again stressed the importance of getting the order by the next day and pleaded for an answer. I did not get one.

I waited, but no call from anyone, supervisor or other. It's now nearing the end of the day, so I call again and get someone else. Same story. I tell her that all I need is some sort of confirmation that the mugs were created, and that they would be shipped today. She said she couldn't make any guarantees, and that "these mugs normally take a few days." Arrghh! I paid for a rush order!!! She put me on hold, went to check with someone, came back and said "If you don't get a tracking number by the end of the night, they probably won't get there by tomorrow." I asked one last time if she could please tell me yes or no whether they will be sent, and she said she had no way of knowing. What?!? This is YOUR PRODUCT!

I had no choice but to cancel my order, which will now cost me even more time and money to find something that will work for the show tomorrow. Completely forgetting about my order for 10 days (even after I paid rush charges) was bad enough; but I am shocked that they would apparently take no measure to expedite a new order to make up for it, despite plenty of time to do so. Everyone makes mistakes, but successful ones at least make an attempt to rectify them. I deal with a lot of vendors, but I honestly have never encountered one that exhibited this level of incompetence and unreliability on such a simple order. They had the nerve to send me an email afterward, saying they're sorry that I cancelled my order because I thought it was "progressing too slow."

I will never use Cafe Press again and I will do my best to make sure colleagues at my company don't have to deal with them either.

"Horrible experience with Cafe Press. I had ordered from them before with no problem. At Christmas I ordered 3 items. 2 shipped. When I contacted them, they were clueless about the missing item. I had to email them the shipping forms and my order form for them to understand how they screwed up. Then they had the nerve to send me an email to tell me how I had to fix it by reordering the item because they had lost the shipping papers and it was no longer in stock. When I told them that was not my responsibility, they told me they would ship when it became available. Still waiting on that shipment placed on Nov. 30, 2012"

"CafePress has never Not come through for me. Therefore, I return there often, almost too often, for my wife questions if we can really afford to buy so much. My answer to her is that this company gives us the finest things that we can give to our loved ones, to our little ones, and that never, never have to worry about being over charged, nor that the mdse will be anything less than !00%. We LOVE CafePress! We really do!"
