"After doing my homework at Resellerratings.com & BBB.com (California) I decided to purchase from Canoga Camera.
I ordered the new Canon XTi black body only, no lens. After about 800 astrophotography shots I decided to put on my 18-125mm lens to take some landscape shots. Much to my surprize they were all washed out, super overexposed. I tried a different lens with the same results.
I emailed Derick at Canoga Camera and told him of my results. He suggested that I first should contact Canon & to let him know the results.
Well, after being on "hold" with Canon for over 20 min. their customer service told me to send it in and they would "look" at it. They also informed me that it would be 2 -3 week turn around time! I only had the camera for 2 - 3 days, and now they tell me I won't have it back for 2 - 3 weeks!
I re-emailed Derick and he told me to send it back and he would send out another one. Thats the way to do business! I love Canon products but in the past dealing with their customer service had always been a hassle.
I give my higest recommendation to Canoga Camera & to Derick
Although I live on the East coast and Canoga is on the West coast I am so glad that I did business with them and wiil again in the future

"I just wanted to share a recent positive experience I had with Canoga Camera I purchased a new Nikon 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 lens from Canoga Camera through Ebay. I got a great price on the lens and the product was shipped quickly and packed professionally. Everything was just as described in the auction. Unfortunately, after I received the lens the front element seemed a little loose. I called Canoga Camera and spoke with one of the salesmen. After a polite discussion he suggested that I return the lens and they would ship me a replacement. When the lens arrived the store manager called me personally and asked me what I would like to do. After discussing all of the options I had them ship me a replacement lens. I received the lens last week and after taking some test shots I am quite satisfied.

In closing, I would like to say that I think Canoga Camera is really top notch. The salesmen were polite, knowledgeable, and helpful. I think anyone wishing to make a purchase through them can feel confident that everything will go smoothly. I would like to add that some retailers might act professionally with a perfect transaction, but it is only a rare few that provide exceptional customer service when things don’t go so perfectly. Canoga Camera is one of those rare few. I highly recommend them!

"I bought my second lens from this store last week, and my experience was as good as the first. Both of my purchases were lenses (A canon 50mm prime and then a sigma 70-300 APO). They both came in very well packed. The second one (made last week) came with a cleaning cloth - though they never mentioned any freebies with the purchase. When I bought from them first time, I called them to confirm a couple of times. But that experience was so great that I didnt bother doing any such things this time around. The lens reached me the day it was promised. The price also was great.

"The store was closed on Monday 5/29/06 (Memorial Day weekend) when I placed my order online and I had no expectations it would be processed that day. Tuesday 5/30/06 I received a call saying they had received my order. I verified the items to be sent and the 3 day shipping. They asked that I call my credit card company and have my account noted that I had authorized the charge. I did this and called the store back to confirm that I had completed their request. They said the product would be shipped that day (5/30/06) and it was and they said I should receive it by 6/2/06, which I did.
