"I sold them a bunch of Macy's cards and sent them the pin numbers of all the cards. They sent me a check for them. Several months later, they claimed I never sent the pin numbers and charged back!! I have emailed and called numerous times. The one time they emailed back, they said they would look into it. After that, zero response. It has been extremely frustrating to work with an unprofessional organization that ignores your calls/emails for an error on their side.
Caveat Emptor! Do not buy or sell your cards to this shady organization. They are horrendous."
"I tried to sell Cardpool a >$500 card. They gave me an offer I accepted, and I provided the card info, but then they cancelled the transaction without reason. I had previously tried to sell the card to other gift card exchange sites but they were not interested due to the high value(?). Now I don't know which one F'ed me, but reading the other reviews here it sounds like possibly Cardpool. My advice: don't give out the card info to ANY site - they can reject your offer (or accept and string you along) and then who knows where or when your card balance gets drained. What a scam!"
"I "sold" a gift card to Cardpool in April of 2019. It is now September of 2019. I e-mailed the company multiple times with no response, before I finally filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in July. The BBB was unable to get any response from the company to resolve my complaint. It is apparent that this is not a re-selling company, it is a scam to acquire free gift cards and sell them for pure profit. Utterly despicable, I'm not sure how they are still around. "

Unfortunately I sold them 5 gift cards at the same time. (I use the word sold hesitantly, as really they STOLE them). "I have had a great experience with Cardpool over the last year (since summer 2018), with same day turnaround on my gift card sells to them for cash. However, on June 26 I sold them another gift card and did not hear from them, it was in review. I finally sent an email inquiry on July 14th and received an immediate response that they had processed the transaction and a check would be sent out within 2 business days.
Here is the comment: "We are significantly behind in processing the sell requests. We hope to have automation turned back on in the near future so we can stop processing 100% of the orders manually." It sounds like they are struggling financially? (That is pure speculation but this seems more a cash flow issue than systems automation problems...)
I am still waiting for check 6 days later, although they said it could take up to 10 business days. As a former happy customer, I am now unlikely to do business with them again."

I have tried to contact their customer service multiple times without any response. I have sold gift cards on CardKangaroo and ClipKard with no problems. "Back in May, I sold a Nordstrom gift card. Never received payment. Sent multiple emails. No response whatsoever. It says its still in review on their website, (2 months later), but they got THEIR money in the form of MY card!
Save yourself the hassle, I'm sure there are better resell sites. Corrupt company. In the past I received payment, that's why I did business with them again. I don't what happened but they are no longer working as anything other than a scam. :( Contacting BBB, shut them down!"

I base this on the following issues I had with them.
SLOW TRANSACTION PROCESSING
My first transaction was for a e-gift card and it took days to get delivered.
This is not standard practice for an e-transaction - they are usually immediate.
The idea that you need to wait 3 business days to get an e-giftcard is ridiculous and goes against an online business model.
IF YOU CAN NOT DELIVER BLAME THE CUSTOMER
So for my 2nd transaction I thought I would buy in advance (days before I would need the cards) and buy in bulk (2 gift cards) - and my order was cancelled due to a bogus 'risk assessment'. I contend that you did not have the inventory you listed on your website - and rather then fess up to your inventory issues - you cancelled the order and blamed it on me.
CANCEL ORDER AND DO NOT NOTIFY CUSTOMER
I never received an email notifying me that the order was cancelled. I discovered that my order was cancelled after not hearing from Cardpool for 2 days. I had to logon to my account and discovered that the transaction was cancelled.
I then had to email them to see what the issue was - and they gave me the excuse that 'risk assessment' cancelled the order.
There was no explanation of what the 'risk assessment' issue was.
I am not a 'risk assessment' in any way shape or form.
I purchase items online weekly and never have any issues.
ZERO CUSTOMER FEED BACK
I reached out to CARDPOOL to see what the 'risk assessment' was and try to work out the issue - and got zero response.

Our risk assessment team has determined that we aren't able to accept the transaction at this time. We have cancelled the transaction and are returning ownership of the gift cards to you. Unfortunately, we're not able to disclose any further specifics regarding this process.
