"In May, I bought several case modding items, 2 round IDE cables, 2 blue quad LED fans, 4 anodized thumbscrews, 24 silver fan screws, 2 fan grill guards, about 3' of cable sleeving and split looms, all for about $30 including shipping! In July, I placed another order, this time for 4 5mm Blue LEDs, 4 3mm Blue LEDs, as well as some LED clips, and an 18'' EL Wire Blue round IDE cable, all for about $25, including shipping. "Ive ordered through these folks 2 times now..


First time i ordered 5 UV round cables, and 4 Dual Cold Cathode fans.. Order came all was fine, hooked up the fans in 2 different computers.. 1 computer had no issues with 2 of the fans, second computer 1 of the inverter boxes fried, i called, they shipped out a new inverter right away with no questions asked.. got it and hooked it all back up, fried again, seems the cathodes were causing an issue or something, no biggy, i called... i told em im done with the inverter idea, and they asked what i wanted to do, well i NEEDED a fan, so they send my a UV led fan instead, i was happy with that seeing as they did already send a inverter at no cost.. again no questions asked..

second order i ordered some split loom and a UV cold cathode.. order came fast but the inverter for it wasent there, the whole "kit" was missing, got the cathode, and the stick tape.. so i emailed em.. took em a day but hell its a business i consider that to be quick enough.. they emailed asking what brand it was and they have shipped out the new inverter and all that for it..

all in all, good prices on Mod supplys, and they are pretty freakin good people.. anyone who has a bad experiance with these people, i whole heartly beleive its just them not following up with things or giving them the WRONG email address.. or just being plain rude..

"This is the second time i've ordered from this fantastic company. The first time was back in April, I ordered a case fan and a window. Three days after I ordered, the stuff was at my door. This time, they contacted me the day after I ordered to ask me if I had made a mistake in my order, because I ordered two case fans, one without sleeving. I emailed them telling them that this was indeed what I wanted. My order was shipped a few hours after I sent the e-mail. on the following Wed e-mailed and told them to cancel order because the status said "Processing". I am still waiting to hear from them - it has been 12 hours since I emailed the company.

Any business that takes 3+ days to process an order for 2 - Dual 12" ccfl that they have on "Sale" should look and see what the problem is. I placed orders at several other sites that same day and recieved the items today.

I will never do business with this company again and do not recommend them to anyone - shop somewhere else.

In response to Casemod.com comments:

1. Phone calls - The number which they are calling is a home business, ALL phone calls coming in and going out are logged. Casemod called 1 time on 10/2/03 claiming that they called 2 times before and have emailed several times and that they are slow at updating their order status page. I have a room mate and we both run the business and make sure that we get any calls missed while we are out of the office.

2. email - I have been using Hotmail as a free personal email service for nearly 4 years and have never had a problem recieving mail from any person or companies. I have placed orders with large companies like Dell and IBM, to small home businesses like 2cooltek.com. In this time I have never heard anyone say "We replied telling you your order has shipped and sent FedEx Tracking number in the email". I also think that it is strange that they can recieve my email but that I can not recieve theirs.

My comments:
If you are looking to make a purchase with this company I urge you to read other Reseller Ratings on Casemod.com and check with the BBB on the web. You will find that the BBB have complaints filed about Casemod.com and they are unresolved because Casemod will not respond.

I should have checked into this company before ordering, but I was in a hurry and needed to purchase 2 sets of dual ccfl's cheaply for a test project that I and several other where conducting. I have learned my lesson and will always check the background of any business that I have never heard of before.

I have a question Casemod.com said:

"We have left 2 messeges with individuals at the location and have tried to call him 4-5 times." why only "2 messages with individuals"

This is pretty pathetic over 2 sets of ccfl's for $24.83, but I learned and will always remember "Buyer beware".

Update:
I recieved the order the other day and upon testing the ccfl's to ensure that they work, can you believe this, they are bad.

When you power them on they make a very faint high pitch noise, I thought about getting an RMA but after all this I am going to throw them in the trash and order from someplace repuatable."

"My order of Panaflo fans was billed, filled, shipped, and delivered without event. However, when I placed the order I neglected to purchase an adapter which could only be bundled with the fans that I ordered (not available separately.) Other vendors sell the adapter for as much as $3.00 apiece; I could build them myself but not for less than $.65 apiece and only in quantities of 500 or more. Had I ordered the adapters with the fans, they would've been $.01 apiece.

After two weeks of frustration trying to find out the best way to get my adapters, I finally called case-mod.com to see if they would sell me the ones I could've bundled with my fans. The service I received was exceptional! Even though this second order totaled all of $1.00 including shipping, it was filled and shipped within 5 minutes of my hanging up the phone!
