"My experience was somewhat bad, I ordered my part and paid for U.S.P.S 2-day express shipping (For FedEx and UPS shipping they wanted around 100$dollars! could just be because of my rural location) they "shipped" my order on the 16th I didn't get a tracking number from them so I concluded that U.S.P.S was taking a long time to ship my order. A week later I called them and their local post office had just returned the item to them for some unstated reason so the next day the shipped the item out again(When I called them the second day the employee I talked to was very helpful and gave me a tracking number). I just got the item today (09/26/05) and looking at the package I noticed that the first time they shipped out the item they didn't use the correct amount of postage. I can understand mistakes and realize that they are a small business but it would be very helpful if they would contact me when there's a problem with the order, and answer their emails quicker. Improving their communication would really help their store rating."
"Overall, I am glad I chose this business. I will buy from this site again. That being said, I think they could improve customer service. I made a mistake and ordered a cooler that fit the wrong graphics card. Sometimes you need to get in contact with the retailer. I sent email, and tried to call. (By the way, the online email submission set up on the website failed with a SQL Db error for both Firefox, and IE, so fix it.) After several attempts, I did finally get someone, but it shouldn't be that hard. At first, I had an uneasy feeling that I gave my credit card info to a dubious retailer, because this didn't inspire confidence in me. Someone should always be present to answer the phone. After reading reviews on this website, I think some people have been unnecessarily hard on the owner. From what I can tell, he his a younger man that wanted to own his own business, and he is accomplishing that. O.K. things aren't perfect, but I'll bet he's working his butt off trying to create a successful business. His prices and products are excellent. Give this guy a chance to work the kinks out, and he will do you right. I know he reads these things, so I would like to say thanks, and keep it up. When you get a little bit more money, crank up the advertising, I found you because I did a search for a product that most people will never purchase, and Newegg was out of. "Like so many others, I was attracted to this site because they were the first hit on a froogle search. I read through the ratings here and decided to give it a shot, as I was not in a hurry to receive the items in question.
I only got one email from Case-Mod.com through the whole ordering process, and that was in reply to my question as to why I wasn't getting emails. There must have been some issue with their automated email system. Unfortunately, I was not able to use the "register and get a free discount coupon!" feature on my first order due to this error.
Processing seemed slower than it was, as I am located on the east coast and Case-Mod seems to do all its actual processing later at night on the west coast.
My shipment arrived when I expected it. It is somewhat amusing to see a FedEx employee drop off a USPS Priority Mail box.
My overall experience with Case-Mod.com felt a lot like an eBay transaction. That said, if I find a great price on something I don't need for a week or so, I'll order from Case-Mod again. "

"I Gave Case-Mod.com a shot because they had the best deal I could find on product I wanted. I read the reviews here first and didn't see a pattern of fraud like many other online retailers have.
My experience was generally very positive. The price was excellent, the shipping rate was very reasonable.
I do have a couple of gripes that several others have also mentioned. The site showed my order had shipped the day after I placed the order. However, the carrier didn't actually pick it up for another 2 business days with a weekend in between. It wasn't a big deal since I didn't need it right away, but it would be different if, say, I had paid for 2-day delivery.
The other gripe is that I didn't get any confirmation e-mail. Again, not really a big deal since you can log-in to their website and check order status, but it's unusual not to get some kind of order confirmation e-mail from online sellers.

There was a handwritten note on the invoice(packing slip) indicating "one of the 80mm fans was discontinued". There was no indication of a refund or replacement of equal value.

Having experienced >40 years as a corporate manager in customer service, it would seem appropriate to give the email no more than a "one day" if not an immediate response. Something tells me that I will be out the cost of the fan. So far, Case-Mod of San Jose, CA was NOT a good business decision on my part. If all issues get resolved this week I will update this review.

"For my profession I am a computer technician, however in my free time I enjoy sitting back and enjoying a good video game, or going to lan parties with a few of my buddies. I have been searching around for a while for a nifty case to mod or that had been pre-modded and was very pleased when I ran across your website, which is very easy to navigate and find things, and found what great prices and deals you had to offer. Every other site or local store I found was nearly twice the price of the prices listed on your site. I purchased a blue/silver case combo including speakers and keyboard/mouse that matched but was dissapointed to hear that they were backordered, only after I placed my purchase. I was told that I could change my order to the black/silver case via e-mail, however I had searched long and hard for a blue type case, and wasn't about to go changing my mind. I will have to wait about a month for the case to become available again, which isn't a huge inconvenience for me, but might be for someone else. Asside from this I was pleased with the timeliness of a response to notify me of the backorder, as well as the options to go about solving the delay. I was hoping for something to compensate for the delay, such as a coupon on my next purchase, or perhaps a free cathode fan, but have had no response to my e-mail yet.

"I placed an order early in the morning on the website for one of the highest end power supplied available, and stated in the comment section of the order that I needed the order to ship same day or I would have to cancel the order. I did this because of some comments about some long delays on order processing here on ResellerRatings.
Around noon I got a phone call from case-mod.com with them stating the the item I ordered was not available to be shipped that day. I told him that I thought the website said it was in-stock, and he replied that it was listed as being available in a day, but the shipment they were suposed to get from the manufacturer had been delayed longer so that just changed.
While I was on the phone I explained the monster system I was building, what I was needing and asked him if there were any other comparable power supplied that they had in stock, and after listing a couple I told him I'd put in a little research and try to see if I could get the power supply I wanted from some other company and call him back if I was unsuccessful.
I called a friend up to get some advice on alternative power supplies, and while I was on the phone with him the guy from case-mod.com tried calling me back 4 times until I finaly got off the phone with my friend and answered his 5th call. He said that he found another power supply that he thought would work for what I was needing. He said that it hadn't been listed on their site yet, and they just got them in. Turns out the unit was better then the one I was trying to order, and I had searched previously for anyone who carried them and couldn't find it.
I was told over the phone I'd get a tracking # via email but I never recieved one. I don't think I even got a confirmation email that my order had been placed.
The main thing is that after talking with them on the phone, they backed up what they said, got my order out that day, and I had it in my hands the next day!
I am rating this company high because of the amount of effort and persistance they sought for my business, and in the end I got what I wanted, the biggest baddest powersupply overnighted to my door within a day.
I think some areas of improvement could be the way they list out of stock items at the bottom of the product details page in red type. It is very easy to miss and asume the item is in stock. There should be some kind of noticable indication on the checkout page that an item is either in stock and available to ship or not. I think this would resolve a lot of issues with customer fulfilment expectations.
It would also be nice if they had an Add to Cart button at the top of the product details page also because it took me a while to figure out that I had to scroll 8 pages down to add the item to my cart."
