"I was issued a refund and free flight voucher after my flight was canceled. I spoke with the airlines and specified that Cheapoair will return my money, however, Cheapoair kept my money and issued me a restricted voucher which I cannot use because of the pandemic. So, I have lost both. Cheapoair ignored my numerous emails and telephone calls to them. The agents like to keep you going around in circles. It's been 8-months, but Cheapoair is a scam company who doesn't return money if you're flight is cancelled by the airlines."

"I should have looked at the reviews before booking. Me and my gf booked flights on Sept 8th for Dec 20th.
In november, I looked up the status to realize our flight was cancelled, I got no email to warn me it was cancelled. I tried to call them to get a refund but it was a long wait and I gave up. On Dec 21 I decided to call them to get a refund.
The **** the phone tells me I personally cancelled the flight on Oct 8th and they will not refund it. I tried to explain her that I NEVER cancelled that flight, that I was awfully mad it was cancelled. She keeps telling me that I cancelled it. WOW! Seriously? Then I ask her to check if the flight happened or didn't happen, because it was yesterday. She said it happened. She gives me United Airline number and tell me to call.
I call them, they tell me yes the flight was cancelled and they provided a refund. Thank you United, eat my a** CheapOair scam!"
"I purchased tickets for four friends in South Africa through Cheapoair. Never again! They left four of my friends stranded in Johannesburg. To make a long story short. My friends were not able to book on a later flight because while they were at the airport, the airline said the flights were booked through a third party so that is who has to change the tickets. When contacting the “third party”, Cheapoair told me that my friends had to change their tickets at the airport with the airline. So guess what? No one would help them especially not Cheapoair and my friends were stranded u til they could get on a ten hour bus trip to get home. Cheapoair did nothing to help my friends!! Please do not waste your money."
"I asked to cancel a booking and refund me in full over 9 months ago. The flight was canceled by the airline and the airports are closed in both Sri Lanka and India so I want a cash refund. The first five months, no one at CheapoAir replied. This third-class operator CheapoAir is denying all requests and is acting in a high-handed way. It's not utilizing the stimulus money it got to compensate its passengers. I have sent numerous emails (over 50) and every time I send an email, it gets lost in call-backs. In every call-back, all CheapoAir wants to do, true to its name, is act cheaply and convince me to part with my money for good. I am overseas in Sri Lanka and they call me up at any time of the day and night and disturb my sleep and life, even though I have placed myself on a DO NOT CALL registry between 8 PM and 8 AM Sri Lanka time. They always try to call me on my US number while I have told them numerous times that that number is not working in Sri Lanka and have given them a Sri Lanka number. They call a non-working number to say that they tried to call and resolve the matter but alas, the consumer wasn't available. They wouldn't even officially issue an email stating that "booking #67474203 is non-refundable and future credit only"! Such is the level of their fraud. The simple facts are these: (1) Airline canceled the flight. (2) Airports in Sri Lanka and India are still closed, over 8 months later, and are not likely to open anytime soon. (3) The credit CheapoAir wants me to take will expire on Dec 31, 2020 - less than 2 months away. No flights will go during that time and credit will expire. (4) I am a US citizen. CheapoAir operates in the US. Therefore, this contract is subject to the US and US-DoT jurisdiction. I ask that this travel agency be investigated for (a) fraud, (b) misusing and misappropriating the stimulus money, (c) acting unethically, (d) harming end-consumer interests, and (e) bringing disrepute to the airline and travel industry. I have filed a complaint with US DoT and asked that its license should be suspended pending an investigation.

"Absolutely horrific. Nightmare. Bought insurance with them. Airline changed flight so I had to cancel. I was stuck in a foreign country with no income because of the pandemic I even had to spend most of my savings getting whole new set of tix. Cheapo ignored all of my attempts to reach them until my visa expired and I was stuck. Then they said the airline wouldn't refund me because I was a no show.. once it was too late and they waited months after the flight date to even respond (after I cancelled through cheapo) and they didn't bother to notify the airline which is part of what that insurance I bought was for! They do not answer phones, emails, or chat. If you get through count yourself lucky. In a pinch they are nowhere to be found! I had to go and buy a whole new set of tix in the end and forfeit the hundreds I spent with them. To this day they are unapologetic. Only offered me a $50 credit that out of curiosity I tried to use and, yes you guessed it. Does not even work! A fake code. HA! "
"10/24/2020 8:30 am. What a horrible experience. I don’t wish this upon anyone. My Name is Michelle K and I had an original flight which was switch to October 24th. I never received an itinerary. I called the night before to receive it. When I arrived to the airport my ticket stated September 24 wrong month. I called and spoke to an Agent Curtis. This person was non apologetic for the wrong date. Non sympathetic. Didn’t even care about the fact I was sitting at the airport and on the phone with him for over an hour!!! He kept saying I’ll be right back I’ll be right back and kept us on hold for long periods of time. Never apologize. He couldn’t get the date changed and he eventually said just pay for the up charge and we will reimburse you. This company doesn’t care for its customers. Their service is extremely rude and unprofessional. There’s a reason why they have an F rating in the BBB. I am filing a complaint with the airlines and the FCC. I want my money back in full! This is unacceptable. I had to call many times and nothing is being done. I want a refund."
"Do Not Use! Repeat Do Not Use! I book a flight to Italy with them and due to Covid-19 I continued monitored the flight cancelations and found the flight was canceled and fully refunded to CheapOair and received no notification from them, In fact, they continued to post my reservations until the flight date. I had to dispute the charges with my credit company and they still continued to resist refunding me and falsely stating that I canceled my reservations and claimed the tickets are non-refundable. The kicker is that they want to profit from both the consumer and the airline refund not to mention the worthless travel insurance."
"If you could give a zero star review for this company, that still wouldn’t be close to reflecting their service. It is now nearing on HALF A YEAR past when my flight was canceled and I was notified that I would receive a refund of which I have not received and still have no information on when/why/ and if I will ever receive it. I’ve sent emails back and forth with no straight answers. The only way I was able to get in contact with someone was by writing a bad review and having them contact me to take it down. It’s been over a month since they contacted me and said they would reach out to their team and figure out the status of my refund and get back to me...I’ve heard nothing since, other then their request for me to take my review down. It seems they’re more interested in protecting their image then in actually helping customers. "I have been a customer with cheapoair long time ago but this time I am really out of patient with their service. My flight had been cancelled and it was the airline who cancelled it. Have been offered a future credit but have to pay 2000cad for a different fare while I paid only 1300cad. Didn’t it sound stupid and irresponsibility? First of all, it was the airline who cancelled the flight and I experienced it last year, at least they offered me another date without charged. This time, they just cancelled my flight and while I was trying to contact them for almost 2 months, nothing is working out. So everyday I go on the chat for more than 5 hours, they keep asking me to pay 2000cad for a different fare. I asked them, what if I paid for a different fare for my new ticket, and in the future my flight will be cancelled again, so I have to pay another different fare one more time? Believe or not, the answer is Yes. This is unacceptable service. They couldn’t find me a flight nor offer a solution. Request for a refund has been over 2 weeks and they keep telling me they’re still working on it. My visitor visa was already expired and I feel like it’s not Covid19 that locked me down, it’s cheapoair company. I wish I am be able to send this message to the government of Canada or Immigration of Canada to prevent a bad credit for my visa status. If someone know the way please tell me because I have captured all the chat that I have with their customer service. "A friend of mine bought me a ticket through CheapoAir the morning of Feb 2nd. That evening a rep from CheapoAir called to sell me travel insurance. I verified several times with the rep that I would be able to cancel the flight for a refund regardless of the reason for cancellation. I paid the fee and felt good about it considering I was finishing up my BSN and figured my schedule could change at any moment. I definitely did not expect a pandemic to change my plans, but it did. I felt confident that I was protected since I paid for the travel insurance. When I finally got in touch with a live representative I was told that that travel insurance was only good for 24 hours after purchase of the ticket( why the hell would I buy the insurance with only 12 hours left to use it????). I spoke with a supervisor that said he would listen to the recording of the transaction and get back to me. He hasn't even with multiple attempts to contact the company to resolve this issue. I wouldn't normally write a review like this, but this company is selling a product based using fraudulent tactics and consumers should be aware! "
"I have been trying to get a refund for airline tickets to Africa since April 6, 2020. This company has failed to respond to numerous written email requests. I have also made numerous telephone calls, with all but one call being terminated by Cheapoair before connecting the call to a representative. The last time I spent three hours on hold with two calls being terminated at the one hour mark. I redials the third time and at the one hour mark, I actually spoke with a representative who put me on hold again, approximately 5 minutes before coming back and telling me a representative would call me back within a couple of days. It has now been six days and nothing. Four thousand dollars is nothing to ignore and my expectation is a refund, nothing less. They were certainly able to charge me within a couple of hours to cancel the flights. They got their money now it’s way past time for mine to be refunded. "
