"I ordered my firearm on Wednesday, September 7 and it was delivered to my FFL dealer in Ohio on Friday, September 9. It was a perfect transaction. The product was superb and the price was the best I could fine anywhere on the Internet."
"I have spent a lot of money on this website, due to their large selection of gear. I have easily spent $400 on shipping from them. I have basically demanded better shipping prices for being a loyal and common customer, and they don't even reply to my emails. I'll spend my thousands elsewhere from now on. Screw Cheaper Than Gold."
"Artificially raise shipping costs more than double after using low price advertising as click bait. Scam."
"This website is a joke! I stopped using this site after i noticed the extremely high shipping cost and their price gouging. I decided to give them another try when I received an email to recieve a discount when entering a sweepstake. I received a $10 coupon and made a purchase. 2 days later a recieve an email that they did not have the product in stock and that i would receive a refund. I searched their website to still see the product still available from 2 of there warehouses but the price on it is jacked up $10 more than the original cost when i ordered it. Bothing but a scam and i will never even look at this site again."
"With zero remorse they gouged gun owners TWICE after the Obama gun and ammo scare and after the Newtown shootings with some of the highest prices in the country. For example; a $19.00 thirty round AR or AK magazine was, overnight, $199.00. Ammunition prices more than quadrupled. This was more than just making a little profit like the rest, this was gouging on the grandest scale ever seen."
"Once again, falsely advertising a product they either did not have or would not honor the price on. I'm not sure if they are totally incompetent when it comes to inventory or completely unethical. Maybe they are trying to drive people to their site or using these deceptive orders that they cancel as a cash flow system since it takes time to get a refund.
Either way, this company is as "Worthless as Dirt" and you are a fool if you trust them. "
"Simply put... did not receive what I paid for. Several attempts to contact 'supervisor' met with negative results. Not the same Cheaper Than Dirt I used a few years before. I will probably not order from them again. The item I ordered was a case of Ameriglo light sticks, 10 boxes of 10 sticks. I have ordered them before and they were fine. What I got was 100 sticks single packed for retail. You can't pack 10 sticks in a pack because they take up too much room. The ones in the 10 pack are made for packing in small spaces. I am not even sure they are the same military grade sticks inside the packs.
It has been a month, I did get shipping refunded but the product will not serve the purpose I bought it for. I have tried to get a supervisor to respond but to date I have heard nothing. I am done with it. I can't say I would give them a second chance based on this transaction and to be honest Management does not seem to care because I have tried to contact them more than 3 times. These companies are profit driven anymore and customer service seems moot as long as profits are being made. Id did get a response from the original CSR but her escalation went nowhere. I hear it is a family business so that explains a lot."
"I am an avid user of Cheaper Than Dirt until I discovered something recently. I was perusing their targets and found a set that seemed fun for a round of shooting with a friend. They are Birchwood Casety Target Games. The items ID#s are TARGET-400, TARGET-401, TARGET-402, TARGET-403, TARGET-415, TARGET-416, and TARGET-417. (The reason I list them is so you can check out the information yourself on the website.) There is no issue with the product itself, the issue is the shipping on these items and other items like them. If you were to purchase one set of targets from them as of 08/28/2015, the shipping shows the weight to be approximately 2.8 lbs. Which at the time is close to $5.50 for shipping, this is not the issue. When you put multiple of the same item in the cart and look at shipping, lets say 4 sets of these items, the weight jumps up to 11.22 lbs., which ended up costing $16.41. I doubted this was correct, after all how could 4 sets of the same targets weigh more than 10 lbs together. So I contacted the online customer service chat and spoke with a user that went by "Sam". I stated my concerns and Sam stated that it was the correct amount for shipping. Sam explained that it was calculated by weight and dimensions of the item. Sam then offered that if I call their 1800 number and ordered over the phone that they could do something, I didn't write down at the time, for the type of shipping "Stock Standard" or some such. Sam stated the shipping would be $8, half of the original shipping price. Then I asked Sam, shouldn't all customers be able to get the same price on these items in regards to shipping, and Sam again stated that it was the correct shipping amount, even though I was offered a cheaper, by half, alternative to the website shipping cost. This made me question their ethics in regards to prices on customers. If they are trying to make money that is fine, they are allowed to do that. However, if you claim to be "Cheaper that Dirt" but your shipping prices are inflated to cover the loss in item price, I find that to be unacceptable. If you are going to sell a product, do not gouge in the shipping price to entice purchasers to buy from you and hope they will over look the cost difference. If Cheaper than Dirt is willing to do this over targets, then that also makes me question what other products are they over inflating their weight so the customer pays more for shipping and they reap the added income from sales. Unacceptable "Cheaper than Dirt", shameful and disgraceful. "
"Look around, this company has no ethics. They will screw over their customers any way possible to make a buck. "
"I ordered ammunition from cheaper than dirt, and followed their procedures. Then they notified me saying they don't send to Cook County or the Chicago area. Interesting, as numerous other ammunition suppliers do. I wish they would have stated this up front before I give them all my information. Waste of time!"
"I was looking at making an AR purchase and came across a gun being advertised on the Cheaper - Than - Dirt website. Based on THEIR specs i purchased the Gun. Long story short, the model i purchased according to them was a mistake. That gun did not exist? The actual model was a sub-standard gun to the one i ordered. I can accept their mistake until i started to deal with their customer service and supervisors. Very condescending and NO CUSTOMER SERVICE at all. They shipped the gun, charged my CC and then stated we need to get the gun back. This transaction has been a PITA. Based on the numerous complaints, it's hard to believe folks still do business with this company. I am not a big online purchaser, but i have never been treated as disrespectfully as with these people. If you purchase any thing from them don't believe what you are being told until it is in your hands for the price you were quoted. Hope this may save someone the same aggravation. "
"Be careful when dealing with this "IT Boiler Room" operation and be sure to verify shipping cost before you close the transaction as they will likely claim that they cannot cancel your order because "it is being processed"...
I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS LOUSY COMPANY AGAIN !"
"I was informed my credit card address did not match that of their "security software" so I was to jump through hoops to prove my address was correct even though the gun was being delivered to an FFL they provided. I was not provided the information necessary to correct the problem to avoid this issue in future dealings. I did verify with my bank that the address I provided was correct. They showed no interest in assisting me with a resolution. I'm certainly less than impressed with their customer service. I guess their name says it all!"
"I have ordered from them before and did not experience any issues... until now. Ordered some magazines for my Springfield and when I received them, they did not fit properly. It was my mistake. I contacted them about an RMA... Got a response from Tonya in Customer (non) Service. She gave me the RMA and said that when they receive the items, they'll process the refund. No UPS label was attached, nor were there any other instructions as to where to ship it back to. Nothing on their website. I contacted her again for the UPS label and she said that the label would be in a separate email. Well, that was over 2 months ago and still no label. After reading the reviews here, I've come to the conclusion that it would probably even a bigger hassle to bother them for the label (or even the address to ship it back to), and probably screw e over on the refund as well. Looks like they'll charge a restocking fee too. Nope, I'll keep the magazines (besides, what better excuse than to buy the gun that these mags fit?), and NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM EVER AGAIN. And I'll tell everyone NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM EVER."
"Ordered 2 gun magazines (clips), only to find after 10 days of -;being processed- and calling customer service that they were out-of-stock in the warehouse and were not getting any more in. One star rating. However customer service routed the order to another warehouse and I received the product in 3 days. 5 stars for the service. A previous order for magazines for another gun was shipped promptly. So apparently inventory control stinks, but if they have the product you get good service at a good price.
