"This process was very easy and smooth. We rented a book, used a coupon code for even further discount, and received it very quickly. Unfortunately, it wasn't exactly what we needed for the class. The return and refund process was fair (full refund minus the return shipping cost of $5.00 if returned within 21 days). My refund was in my account the same day the book was delievered to Chegg. I hope to use Chegg in the future. "

They have, hands-down, the best customer service I've ever dealt with, and they do little things very well... Their website is set up very intuitively, they understand how people want the layout to be and how we want to search for books. The website contains every feature you would want/need, and leaves out everything you don't need. Books are shipped/arrive quickly, returns are free and simple, and they are extremely reasonable, forgiving, and all-around easy to deal with!"

"I was such a fan of Chegg until December 2012. At that time I could not reach anyone via email to let them know I was having health problems that limited my ability to return the text books I had rented. I repeatedly would respond to emails sent to me, which always came back undeliverable. I would email customer service directly, again with no response. This semester I am only ordering one book from Chegg, I have found the other ones cheaper from other sources, one with free shipping and a 10% buy back. I think Chegg is getting too big for their capability."

"I used Chegg to rent and purchase textbooks for my high school children. It seemed like a great deal. I guess I didn't read the fine print closely enough because I got a message in the middle of December that my kids' books were due. As high school students they use texts for the whole year--not just one semester. And even if it were for just the semester, their finals are the third week in January; not before Christmas like most colleges and universities. As a result I had to pay quite an additional amount of money to extend the loan periods. As a result I would probably not use Chegg again. They should have a different option if you are a high school student. I do have to say that they were very organized and made the returns easy and had great communication. It just won't work for us if books have to be returned before their class is over."

"I received my book on time before my semester started for the fall 2012. I am thankful it was in perfect condition even though it was used. I loved the fact that I didn't need to worry about paying for shipping and it was all paid for. The only thing was that I was charged for a return/extended fee when I had returned my book a day before it was due.
