"I was satisfied with Computer Brain until I examined my invoice carefully. Despite my choice of (cheap) 7-9 day shipping, CB AUTOMATICALLY adds 6.99 for ?express shipping? to the 7-9 day charge. I was forced to call and cancel the additional charge which was explained as "an accelerator to our usual internal 48-72 hours of processing and handling".
I term it an organized subtle ripoff and will not conduct business with this company again. I suggest you beware."

"This is a conscientious outfit. I got a call from them a day or so after I ordered saying that to protect the customer from fraud, they can't ship to a shipping address that's not listed with the credit card. I always use my work address since I'm rarely home during the day. This is the first online retailer I'd encountered that took this precaution. But unlike some others that just hold the merchandise until you call them if they encounter a problem, they called and gave me instructions on how to request the change from my credit card company. Since I had time to call the credit card company right away, Computer Brain said they'd call the credit card company back in 15 minutes to confirm the change so they could ship before C.O.B. the same day. How's that for service? Not so typical I'd say. And even though I'd ordered retail rather than OEM parts that were already boxed by the manufacturer, Computer Brain boxed the boxes with protective material so they wouldn't get dented or crushed. Some companies don't do this at all or make you pay additional packing charges beyond shipping and handling. I assume either they're new and don't know how other companies operate, or they knew I was reviewing them to get the free optical mouse. Or maybe, just maybe, there are still a few customer oriented companies out there after all. Go Computer Brain!"

"I ordered online and the item was shown as "in stock". However, after a week went by and didn't hear anything I called customer service where I was told the item was back ordered. I was told the item would be shipped that week. The following week I called again, they apologized and said the order was being shipped the next day. A few days later I called again. Again, they were apologetic and said they would make sure my items were being shipped. They told me that they would credit my account for part of the shipping charges for all of my problems which they did. My order finally arrived on December 20th. Almost a month after I ordered. The price was excellent compared to other stores. I would give them another chance and order again, just not during the holiday season. The product and price were great!"
