"I have found shopping at Geeks simple and straightforward in the past and have experienced no problems at all.
there was some complication regarding this order though. For some reason the credit card which I have used before to shop there, wasn't being verified. I received a phone call to let me know and then an email with instructions to wire transfer instead.
Since it would cost more at both ends for me, I decisded to cancel the order after speaking with a rep (Erika) by phone.
Although I was a little disappointed to have to cancel and start again (this time I will pay through Amazon), the process itself was painless and all the staff I interacted with polite, helpful and really cool. To be honest the geeks site is always open on my browser.

Communication thorough and timely for my entire purchase, with a smooth billing and account set-up (this was my first geeks.com purchase). There's always a catch right? Well, upon delivery the laptop was totally inoperable.

After listening to the machines boot sequence, it was obvious that the HDD wasn't spinning. A quick swap with another and yes; problem identified.

I called geeks.com the next morning, explained the problem and within 2 minutes they offered me a choice: to ship out a fresh HDD or send it back free of charge to be assessed (How trustworthy, problem-centric and... great!).

I was overnighted a new HDD (with a tracking number, confirmation e-mail... the whole 9) and in 36 hours I was flying on my new computer.

The price on my purchase seemed to good to be true, but then again so was the service. I am I heavy-user and I abuse this machine daily. It has now been with me for 5 months and it hasn't skipped a beat.

I wish geeks.com sold everything. I rarely am compelled to thank businesses... but well-done team. Best wishes on a successful future and contuine to build on better!"

I have shopped at all the online stores- Overstock,Tigerdirect,Staples even Sears, to mention a few. This Geek.com has no customer service to speak of,so if you have ANY problem with your purchase I suggest you notify your credit card provider to stop payment, because they DO NOT follow thru with customer complaints. My purchase was made 3 weeks ago, and I still have not satisfactory resolved my complaint. My advice to anyone making purchases online to steer clear of Geeks.com. I now am a proud owner of a laptop with a non working battery, and they ignore all my attempts to get redress. Better to purchase from an unknown on E Bay then Geeks.com. I have never experienced such a lack of customer support in all my online dealings!!"

"I needed a basic laptom for my son who is a Junior in High School. He needed a unit that he could easily do homework and access the internet. The cost of this refurb unit made it easy to afford and to still be able to buy and add software. The unit arrived in only a few days and it was discovered that the battery was only lasting 15 minutes tops. I called Geeks and they immediately issued and RMA and said that they would send another computer out because the battery was not something they carry. Computer Geeks makes buying electronics easy!"

He's notoriously rough on all of his stuff so I didn't want to purchase anything new at full price. I am amazed at how nice this little mp3 player is. "I ordered the special 12mp kodak camera with free bag, free sd card and free shipping with the use of a promo code. well at check out i hadn't realized that I was being charged for shipping. i called the following monday (ordered on friday) and explained that i was charged for shipping even though it should have been free.

customer service was more than willing to help me and apologized for the long wait time while he tried to resolve the issue. Well it only took about 10 minutes in all and the result was that I would get my shipping portion credited back to me in a few days.
