"I have had mixed luck with Computer Geeks products. They are quick to provide store credit for returns although I would prefer refunds. I would like to see buyer reviews on the products to help with purchases as many of the brands are not well known. "

"I am building a computer for the living room which will be used to stream video, I called Geeks to get some help with choices of motherboards and CPU. Unfortunately the tech steered me to a MB that did not support HDMI and I did not realize this until the order was placed. So I did a refuse when the package came to the door. Geeks wanted to charge me a 15% restock fee. I think I got them to drop that fee, but I will know when my PayPal is credited. They have some seemly good deals but It will be hard for me to buy from Geeks in the future. "

"Made the mistake of not checking the contents right away; geeks.com had always sent the right stuff. When I did open the motherboard package, I found the wrong item. They won't give credit or RMA past 7 days... so I have a $57 motherboard that cost me $120, and that I can't use. Caveat emptor.
28JULY: geeks.com just called and said they will issue RMA and credit; I'm happy. When the right motherboard shows up on their site again, I'll be punching in the order. The internet works...

"the item arrived in a somewhat beatup cardboard with the Logitech logo.It was a wireless full keyboard with wirlessmouse and usb speakers. I opened the box and to my surprise, no real directions to read about. I looked at the pieces and followed what I could see, Connect first, next etc. that was etched into the plastic and to my surprise! The whole thing not only works great and flawlessly but also looks super cool. At a price of $19.99 where Tigerdirect was asking for $32 for a similar item, I say I'm sticking with Geeks from now on."

"Most of the time, my orders are received promptly as as expected.
You only really find out who you're dealing with when something goes wrong.
On this order I was supposed to get a black camera and when i opens the box, It was Pink. not good for a grandson.
The lady I spoke with promptly addressed the issue and got the correct camera shipped out immediately.
I am very pleased with the Geeks.

"Geeks.com misrepresented the quality of its product then was totally unresponsive to my requests for instructions to return it.

I purchased a refurbished Logitech wireless desktop set (keyboard and mouse) through buy.com. When I received it, it was fairly clear that nobody had done even a cursory inspection of the product's condition before reselling it. The keyboard was missing pieces, the box contained no instructions or installation CD, and nothing worked.

I immediately emailed the company at the email listed for returns on their invoice. I heard nothing back from them. I emailed again. Still nothing. Two weeks after my first email, I disputed the charge with my credit card company who quickly resolved the dispute in my favor. I now have a non-functioning wireless desktop and will probably have to pay to dispose of it, since geeks.com will probably not respond to my third email.

This was a thoroughly unpleasant experience and I will never purchase from geeks.com again.
