"Geeks lack of customer service, failure to keep a promise and inadequate communication...If these were catagories, they could get excellent ratings from me here. I had a problem with a refurbished laptop that was strung out over 6 weeks. I now look bad to my customer. Geeks customer service could have cared less that there was a problem and failed to address my concerns. They did however offer to exchange the product which was not acceptable to me. This was a laptop that came in with a bad battery and geeks told me over the phone that they had one in stock and that it would ship out that day. My Customer took the laptop thinking that a replacement battery would soon be on its way. Over a week later when it did not arrive I called (over 20 min on hold each time I called) it appeared that they hadnt yet begun to look for a replacement. I called, left emails, as it appears to deaf ears. When I did send a ugly note I did get 1 email and a phone call (to my home and not my cell as I requested) they just stated that they could not locate one. When I told they were losing a customer they could have cared less and restated that they would rma the laptop. Unfortunately, this was for a business I AM VERY DISCOURAGED. Again, I understand the rma process but they promised a battery from the beginning and did not deliver. I could not believe that my business with geeks was worth so little to them."
"Buyer beware: I bought three items from this store and had issues with two of them. I requested help first from their technical support department and after a week from their customer support department, using the web-based form in their website. I received no response from them to date. There is one item I want to return because the advertised features in the product page are just not available (WPA-PSK support on the only SDIO adapter they sell) which some people can construe as false advertising. Just a bad experience and it is not even worth my frustration to keep attempting a resolution.
UPDATE: As stated earlier, it was not worth my trouble to try and get a return from this store. I only got a response from them after I posted the negative review, and it was only to pretend they were giving customer service and save face here at resellerratings.com. The fact is I did not get to even explain the problem to the RMA or technical support departments. $100 down the drain. I will keep to more reputable online stores from now on."
