"I purchased a CF2 Card that was advertised as working in digital cameras that support Fat32. My DSLR does (Olypus E-330)

It doesn't work.



I have done some research and SEAGATE has written on the device (which you can't read when /before you actually get the drive) "embedded applications only" is that SEAGATE has locked the device in firmware to only function as a IDE device, NOT as a CF2 compliant device .
I feel that Geeks.com has used deceptive advertising in the description of the product. That this drive was for embedded application only and would NOT work in the manner claimed in their product description.

I have called 3 times and spent over an hour on hold, never getting a person. I have emailed but got no reply.

I guess now my only recourse is to call my credit card company and filing a complaint with the BBB.

after I wrote this review I decided to spend however long it took on hold to get thru to a person, after a 30+ minutes wait I am happy to report that GEEKS.COM was great and resolved it quickly and in a professional manner.

My only suggestion at this point is they hire more help so they can answer the phone quicker and reply to emails."

"I have been buying merchandise from Geeks.com since July 2006 and have had very good customer service if something arrived defective. Customer service AND technical support VERY friendly and courtious. I am aware that in todays world NOT everything is perfect and I HAVE had a few defective items arrive.After calling customer service, they were very accomodating and had me ship back those items which were then replaced, or I returned them and asked for in house credit. Pricing is very fair and web info usually very precise. I recommend this company for good service, good prices, and good accomodations when required. Inventory is excellent and I check every day or so for new arrivals which is how you get the best deals !!!!! Also LOVE the once in a while $ 1.99 shipping of orders over $ 49.99 ( most items are applicable, but not all items are elligible. I highly recommend this site for good "pickings".

"Purchased Adaptec DuoConnect AUA-3020A USB/Firewire Adapter and the product was defective. It has a conflict of hardware with my old graphic card. It's a goodthing that I ordered a Graphic card (XFX 6200) from Amazon and because the old GForce card became unstable.
Still not working and conflict on my new graphic card. Talked to someone at computer geeks and they are helpful to assist me although takes 15 minutes to hold. Immediately got RMA for the product return. The only complaint is they use Fedex for shipping and there is no way to track the product you bought. I beleive, that I will buy on this store in the future. I Hope their people will not change attitude toward customer. "
