"Ordered 2600 AMD computer without hard drive.Computer wouldn't boot with good drive. Six weeks after return, with $30 nonrefundable shipping, computer would boot then freeze. Claimed repair was reseat cpu cooling fan. Why bother with $30 return shipping again? I am going to try another cpu. Also power supply purchased for another computer DOA. If you have money and time to waste maybe, otherwise Tigerdirect."
"I bought a pc from CSO and it was defective out of the box. It would not boot up. I got a RMA number and returned the product within 3 days after I had received it. The company now refuses to honor their return policy and issue me a credit for the $623. I have tried repeatedly to have someone contact me about the credit but they totally ignore my memo's. Buyer beware with this company.."
"Ordered a Enlight Case, they charged my card right away. Then didn't ship for 2 weeks and when it got here it wasn't the Enlight case I ordered but some Generic piece of crap. I'm told it will be 4 weeks before they get more Enlights, which I think is bull. The price was too good to be true with free shipping. They won't get my business again. ps the won't adjust my card for 7-10 days after recieving the case. What a joke they charge me day 1 then make me wait......"
"Extremely slow shipping. First order took almost 4 weeks, 2nd is about the same. They charge your credit card immediately. When you call or e-mail for status they lie about shipping date. They claim reaon for slow shipping is that they are very busy. Don't order from them if you need items in a reasonable time frame."
"Look out for this scam! They promise rapid delivery of in stock items, then don't deliver for weeks! I ordered 2 CPUs and 2 cooling fans, all listed as in stock. Their site says in stock items ship in 24-48 hours. After 8 days, 3 phone calls and 2 emails I finally got the order cancelled and by threatening to sue got the credit to my debit card posted. The last time, the credit took over a month to be processed. They don't have the staff to deal with the orders (shipping or paperwork) and should be run out of business by people who CAN get the job done."
"I needed some oddball parts for a couple projects. I ordered four 99-cent 16mb sticks of EDO and a Pentium Pro 150 CPU. Since the SIMMs were sold by unit (not by pair) and at a bargain-basement price, I figured they were probably mismatched singles--no problem because the projects involved some 486s. This proved correct. No complaints at all--items were delivered quickly, well-packaged, and shipping was pretty reasonable, especially considering the order's value was probably less than what it cost them to fill and send it. They don't have stuff that I need on a regular basis, but I'll try to send them some more business when the opportunity comes along. "
"I highly recomend this site. I have had nothing but great service. They are good at providing older hard to find equipment and parts. All that I have ordered has been shipped promptly and recieved in good condition. One motherboard was DOA and replaced ASAP. No complaints. "
"These folks really came around and made good on a bad situation. I had two computer cases arrive damaged and they gave me a full refund and did not ask for the merchadise to be returned. Even after I told them I could make one good case out of the two they said that my good relations with the company was more important! This is not an attitude that prvails amoung all of the retailers around, including some walk-in stores like Best Buy. I will definately go to them again for future purchases."
"I purchased a 512 MB DDR module from this company on May 30th of this year along with a free item. I could not track what I had ordered and my account was charged. I e-mailed the company and on June 16th I received an e-mail that my memory was backordered and it should ship out shortly. Fine I thought to myself it looks like I will finally get it. When it arrived on June 24th, almost a month later, I discovered that the memory was defective. (I am an A+ certified computer technician for a major insurance company). I contacted CSO for an RMA number and sent it back. They received it on July 7th. It was being "tested" for two weeks and that they were waiting for a replacement! I checked their inventory on the module and it said they had my module in stock, why couldn't they just send me one from their stock? I emailed the company 3 times before I ever got a response on what was going on with my RMA. I finally receive an e-mail stating that they were sorry for the delay and that they would be sending the memory out 2 day air, at their expense. I get the tracking number and it is being sent out UPS ground! They cannot even get their shipping information right! UGH! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! USE www.surpluscomputers.com"
"Slow shipping (took nearly three weeks). Expensive considering they sent in USPS with no tracking. Their order tracking system is a joke, just got responses saying "check back with us later.""
"Ordered two systems based on the same Amptron motherboard. Slow delivery; inaccurate sales information. Both systems had defective on-board audio, which CSO, to their credit, replaced with cheapo sound cards. Shortly after installation, the power supply on the second system failed. To avoid the hassle of returning the power supply, I ordered a second from CSO, which also failed shortly after installation. CSO has low pricing and the quality to match."
"O ordered several Dell Optiplex PCs. One of them was missing a CD. The reason I am writing, though, is that they turned what could have been a horrible experience into a very easy solution. I am not bothered by the missing CD; I am pleased that correcting the problem was so darn easy. All problems should be this easy to resolve.

"Very dissapointed with this online company. I purchased a stick of memory and a "free" item and it came in the worst packaging I have ever seen. It was a tiny envelope with next to no protection and only $1 in postage. The memory did not work and the so called "free" item wasn't even the item advertised, it was a demo version of the software advertised."
"Not a good experience at all. I order 1 stick of Simm memory and 2 free items on April 12, and after 1 call about 2 weeks after my order was placed, I was told that the memory was on back order and it was expected in in about 7 to 10 days. After another 2 weeks, I again called and was told that the memory was discontinued and I would be credited for my purchase. In the meantime, there was no contact from them on this. I am VERY disappointed in thier service. I absolutely will not order from them again as I feel the whole order was mishandled. I should have been emailed and notified of the backorder and subsequent discontinuation of the memory, not left to hang."
"The most infuriatingly slow online company I have dealt with to date. I ordered products on May 9th from them and ComputerGeeks. Placed 2nd order with ComputerGeeks a day later. Have recieved both orders from ComputerGeeks. One yesterday, one this morning. CSO has Charged my account. But not shipped yet. Not planning to do any future businesss with CSO.
RMA process for returning bad motherboard from a previous order took over 30 days to resolve. In spite of the fact that I sent RMA back via UPS 3 Day Select. Since I explained in detail why the MOBO was suspect, did not expect them to take over a week to test before sending a replacement. When they finished testing the replacement ASUS A7V-VE, CSO failed to separate the Components before sticking it in a bag and shipping it. The Cooling fan and heatsink were bouncing around loose on top of the CPU when I opened the box. Fortunately it seems to work OK. I don't think I could have survived a second round of CSO RMA aggravation.
Bottom Line: Fair Prices, horrible service.
Don't Buy from these guys if you need the item in less than 3 weeks."
