"Great products. Fast and affordable. Good communication, I would definitely buy from again."
"Ordered a Xbox 360 XFPS 360 PRO on Friday, July 27, 2007 with UPS Standard Shipping. I waited until thrusday and called them about a tracking number, he told me that my order was scheduled to ship out that day and that I would have my tracking number later on that same day. The next day rolls around I still don't have a tracking number so I called the toll free number at 11:03 am all the way up to 12:32 pm and nothing but a busy signal the whole time, they must get a lot of business. I'm currently still trying to get in touch so I can find out if my ordered has even been shiped out yet. I recieved an e-mail from Console Source apologizing to me because my order had been delayed until Tuesday, August 07 because of difficulties beyond there control and said that they would upgrade my shipping from standard ups to overnight delivery at no expense to me. They also said they would give me a $10 off coupon for the next time I would shop at consolesource.com, which is good for me because I seen a couple other things on their site that I was interested in. Things could have worked out better I'd say, but I think consolesource.com has a genuine care for their customers so I would most definitely shop there again."
"I ordered from this company online because they were located in Canada, and out of the few online stores that are, they were the only ones that had what I wanted in stock at the time. (CycloDS Evolution)
I ordered on a Wednesday, and the product was in my mailbox by Monday.
This is how online shopping should be. I'd definitely order from these guys again.
08-16-2007 Update: Well I did order from these guys again, and although the delivery wasn't as speedy as my first time order, I have to give credit to Console Source for responding to my email inquiries in a timely fashion. On my second order, after two weeks of not receiving anything, I made an inquiry via email and received notice back from them that on of my items was delayed in delivery. My biggest problem with this was that at the time of placing my order and even before I sent the inquiry email, the item I ordered was listed as 'In Stock' on their site. So they gave me the choice of waiting for delivery or just remove that one item from the order. I chose to remove it and received my other items a couple of days later. Kudos to Console Source for responsive communication via email, but I was slightly dismayed at the Site not being up to date. (Although RIGHT NOW as I check their site it does state that the item I wanted has an ETA of next week).
I'd still order from them in future."
"Online ordering was easy and straightforward, prices were good. Got free shipping (limited time offer) and shipping was quick, everything received in good order. What more can you expect from an online purchase? It's the second time I buy from ConsoleSource.com and both times everything was done right."
"I used a $5 coupon given to this merchant's newsletter subscribers, and in addition I received free shipping because my order was over $50. I placed my order Friday evening, and it was shipped Monday afternoon. It arrived by Xpresspost on Wednesday well-packed and in good working order. Overall, I am very satisfied and will likely do business with ConsoleSource again in the future."
"I placed an order for a Wii Black Knight case mod and Adeptec Gamebridge on 5/31/07. I was charged immediately, but by 6/12/07, my order was still queued. I decided to simply find the product elsewhere as I had waited nearly two weeks with no change in status, so I placed a ticket to have my order canceled. 6/20/07 I receive an email from ConsoleSource saying that my order cannot be canceled because it has already shipped, 3 weeks after I ordered it, and over a week after I had requested the order be canceled, using the precise instructions on their site for cancellation.
Charging me before my order was even processed, waiting the better part of a month before sending me the product I had paid for, and not processing the cancellation long enough for the order to finally ship, so now I'd have to pay my own shipping for the return, and possibly even a restocking fee. Avoid this site."
"I ordered a HyperX Xbox Mod Chip on Friday night, I received an email Monday saying they successfully processed my order. They didn't include a tracking number in the email, so I logged onto the site checked my order history and there was the tracking number. I just received my package today, and the modchip works fine. I would definitely order from them again."
"Ordered a WiiKey (with tri-wing screwdriver: SKU2585) on May 19 and received it 24-48 business hours later. What I mean is, I ordered at the beginning of a long weekend and the order wasn't completed (ie. shipped) until the first business day, and I didn't receive it until more than 1 business day later. I can't be sure since I wasn't sent an email when it was shipped.
I submitted a ticket to the sales department, regarding an inquiry, on the 20th but it still wasn't replied to. (9 days later)
Poor customer service but I had received everything as advertised; I live in the GTA."
"Paid $17 for UPS Expedited shipping on a $40 Xeno mod for the 360. That was on 5/19. It was marked 'Complete' on www.consolesource.com on 5/22 and should have arrived within 4 business days. UPS shows a scheduled delivery date of 5/29 on tracking # 1ZR692V46854924094. I tried to call but, you guessed it, busy signal on the toll free and direct dial. I opened a ticket stating that the delayed shipping was fine but I wanted the difference refunded. That was Tuesday the 22nd - no response to date aside from the immediate automated one. I work in sales and understand the value of keeping customers happy. I should have known better. Consolesource.com operates identically to those Canadian outfits that used to sell DirecTV and Dish Network hash codes.....SHADY. I can only assume my order will be received by the 29th but it will likely be poorly packed based on the other posts. I went to the Ontario BBB website looking for another phone number and didn't find one. I was able to see that this company has an UNSATISFACTORY rating with them - shocker. I will never do business with this company again and can only hope it will fold, as it deserves to since it has no regard for the customer."
"I ordered a R4DS on Thursday that was listed in-stock, and chose the UPS 3-day delivery. I received immediate confirmation of my order. However, I never received a shipping confirmation. The package did arrive on Tuesday, 3 business days later. The condition of the product was fine, but they did not use any packing foam peanuts. Overall, I was satisfied with my experience, but I would have felt better if I had received a shipping confirmation and a tracking number."
"08 June 2007
The M3 Simply arrived, taking exactly six weeks after the order. Never gonna buy from there anymore.
Sorry guys..
07 June 2007
Three days ago (as soon as I asked for a refund) they replied saying that they were going to start a tracking with canadapost.ca and if the package was lost they were going to give me my money back. It's the third day today and I still haven't received any reply: does it take so long to track a package??? In total it's been 6 weeks since my order.
04 June 2007
Submitted a ticket two days ago asking for a refund. No answer yet.
30 May 2007
Submitted another ticket, saying that those "next day or two" now turned into six days (as of today). Let's see what's going to happen.
28 May 2007
"A day or two", as they told me when replying to my ticket, have gone already. The package is still nowhere to be seen.
25 May 2007
Yesterday they answered to my first ticket and today to the second. The first said that my order was going to be delivered in a day or two, the second that they were going to start tracking the package. That's eight days and three days after I submitted the two tickets.
Let's see where this leads.
FIRST POST: 22 May 2007
I live in Italy and placed an order for the M3 DS Simply with a 1GB card.
This happened on the 29th of April and the order appears on their website to be completed.
As of today, the 22nd of May, I haven't received anything yet, but this is somewhat ok, because of the time that a package can take to get to Italy from the US (although this never happened to me before I understand that bureacracy can get in the way at times).
The problem is that I contacted them via email twice (once thursday the 17th and once yesterday) regarding this issue and still haven't received a single reply.
Right now I'm not satisfied at all and I would think twice about placing another order with a company that doesn't answer its customers email, even just to say that they're checking if everything's alright."
"Upon reading the various comments made about this company(after I ordered from them of course), I decided to get in touch with the company myself.
On May 10,2007 I called their Toll Free: ***-***-**** at 2:36pm Eastern time. Within seconds an operator was on the phone helping me with the concerns of my order letting me know that my order was complete and shipped the next day.
I am satisfied with my purchase and Console Sources' customer service and if all goes well, I will indeed do business with them again.
As one person stated, most people only post their complaints, not their satisfactory purchases. So I am posting my satisfactory purchase comment because they deserve it."
"I read lots of bad reviews so I was worried because I had already placed my order. Well I bought an xecuter 3 ce mod chip and xectuter control panel. Both were in stock and shipped within a couple days. I did have to register a ticket with the shipping department to get a tracking number, but they responded the next day with one. So overall, good prices, decent fast shipping. Better communication without asking would be ideal."
"Quality seller / fast shipping / great communications / would buy again :-) "
"I had purchased a "DMS4 EZI S.E. PRO Solderless Mod Chip" from consolesource.com - because their prices where around $10 cheaper than the other sites selling the same product. A handful of friends of mine have been curious about modding their systems, but where skeptical and wanted someone else to mod their system first before they would think of doing the same. I stepped up to be the first of my peers to finally buy a solderless chip. Here is the timeline of events thus far.
Feb 9th
Order placed on www.consolesource.com
Feb 16th
e-mailed them back from their ordering e-mail I got my confirmation from (with no tracking #) to find out if I could get a tracking #, ETA, or a date the item was sent.
Feb 17th
After no e-mail response, I submitted a ticket to their 'Support Helpdesk' asking the same question, and an e-mail arrived immediately after saying that I would be contacted shortly.
Feb 18th
No response
Feb 19th
Sent in a response to the same ticket asking why it was taking so long to be responded to "very shortly".
Feb 20th
Submitted a "critical" ticket, stating for them to look at the first ticket and finally respond to it.
Feb 21st
Still no response at all, I made a response to the critical ticket stating my discontent for this awful customer service. My package still hasn't arrived.
I would feel better, and have no qualms if I at the very least got some sort of response. You can't set up a business like this and blow off your customers. According to Resellerrating.com on Console Source, they seem to have no problem quickly getting to responding to criticism, but they can't respond to their customers complaints and questions on their own web site? Reading what I have on here makes me think I probably just lost out on $80 of my hard earned money. This is the shottiest customer service I've ever experienced... Do NOT buy from these people.
If I don't receive a response, tracking number, or my package by the beginning of next week, I'm going to cancel the order and dispute the charge to my bank."
