"My first and last order from them. Sent email twice asking about the status of the order and they didn't response at all."
"I placed my order on the Wednesday and it arrived today (one week), which isn't bad although I live in Canada unlike some of the other reviewers. I'd have to rate my experience as below average with ConsoleSource.com. As said in many other reviews, they specifically say that a confirmation email will be sent but then you only get the initial email and no updates on when it's shipped or not. Upon checking, the status says "Completed" which yields no information about where my order is. I also sent an email with regards to the product the following day and it was completely ignored even up to today. Also, the item arrived today just tossed in a box. NO PADDING at all. No foam, no bubblewrap, not even some pieces of paper. They just tossed it into a box much larger than the item itself so it could spend it's trip knocking side to side. I can only hope the item works properly.
Overall, I'd say my experience will cause me to purchase future accessories from other online vendors. ConsoleSource simply does not have any customer support and hitting the Place Order button is like saying a prayer."
"Extremely positive experience. I couldn't believe how fast my order arrived. Order placed on Thursday, arrived Monday! Great reseller!"
"I am very pleased with my experience at Console Source, and my purchase from them. My item arrived in a well packaged shipping box, with no visable damage. There was plenty of paper in the box to protect my product. I ordered my item on October 19, 2006, and even though the website stated an ETA of October 31, I recieved my package on October 25th, only 6 days after my order.
My only complaing would be that I was never sure my package was shipped. The status of the order on the website stated "Completed", however there was never any indication under my order that it had shipped. I ended up creating a help ticket with the shipping department who e-mailed me the next business day with my tracking number. Upon checking the shipping website I discovered my package had arrived the day earlier, but I was never informed by Consolesource.
The website states "Once an order has been received by ConsoleSource.com, you will receive periodic e-mails regarding the current status of your order. Within 24 hours of your order being shipped, you will receive an e-mail that contains the carrier tracking number for your order." I received one e-mail after I ordered stating my order had been "processed", and not another until I initiated the help ticket.
A minor bunp in customer service, but still I would but from them again."
"It has been 13 days since I cancelled my order, and I have still not received a refund. I feel like I am getting the run around and I am getting nothing but excuses. Given the other reviews on this site, I see that I am not alone in my dissatisfaction with this company.
Update: Sent a trouble ticket on Oct. 13 to address the issue. It is now Oct. 17 and the ticket is being ignored. I'm not asking too much, I just want my money back on an item I cancelled. Horrible service.
Update 2: Finally as of 10/17/2006 they have refunded my money. I got my money back, but I still can not recommend this company. There are more reliable online vendors out there."
"Information on their website is misleading for example their phone # and the items in stock...Got their real number from searching Better Business Bureau website. The first representative quoted me that they shipped my order last week and that their website will send out a confirmation and tracking number email. The next day no confirmation has been sent. I called the Second time a rep told me that they got the part in and they will be shipping it that day. I am really frustrated on the run around info they are giving out. I hope my frustration is voiced through this testimonial.. and P.S. it is been 2 weeks and still waiting on my order and no word on the confirmation/tracking email..."
"Not a bad experience. The only downside was I didn't receive a tracking number after my package shipped, which is apparently because I used standard ground. This isn't a big deal, but since I recieved an email after it shipped saying I would get one in 24 hours, I was a little worried. I emailed about this, but only recieved a response from the ticket I submitted. My order came in about 9 days, which isn't bad considering it shipped from Canada."
"I made an order for an item on the 20th of July, 2006. Their website says that they had said item "in stock" and that was the reason why I ordered it there. After a day or so I received an email saying that it was processing; I go and check the website and now, the item is listed as on "backorder" and stock won't be refilled until the 28th.
I used their online messaging service and I cancel the order but was still charged for it a few days later.
I am now in an ongoing conversation via their messaging service but they still have not refunded the money.
It's going on day 20 of what should have taken them 2-3 days according per their response. They have yet to respond to my inquiry which has now been 4 days since it has been sent."
"I logged onto Console Source looking to purchase some accessories for my Playstation 2. I placed an order on July 30th, and after a short wait (same day), my credit card was charged and the item I ordered was "processed", meaning that it was awaiting shipment. The next day, it was switched to "complete", meaning that it had been shipped within twenty four hours as promised.
Then, some problems began to arise. First, I was not provided with a tracking number for my order, which I then found out were not provided by www.canadapost.ca on ground shipping. This would have been fine, except the shipping option I chose was "USPS Standard Ground." It turns out that USPS doesn't deliver from Canada. This was new to me, probably because the fact that the company is based in Canada is kept out of sight on the home page. It isn't nonexistant, but you have to click through a variety of links before you can find out where they are located.
The second problem I had is with the telephone number of the company. The fact that it was toll free encouraged me to call and just make sure everything was going smoothly with my order. I've called six times since then and received a busy signal each time, which is the same experience that other people seem to be having.
However, this is not the only way to contact Console Source. They do have a live chat, and I was able to talk with a nice employee named Louis who was very friendly. I still wish I were able to get on the phone with someone, though, as Louis sounded like she was empathizing with me and trying to fix the phone lines and retrieve a tracking number, but I did not exactly have any of my problems with the site or the phone service fixed.
So far, however, besides the fact that it is hard (impossible?) to reach the company on the phone lines the fact that I currently have no idea whatsoever where my order is (pretty important, if you ask me), I have no other gripes with the company. My order shipped on the 31st of July, according to the site, within their 24-hour window, and with the 5-20 day shipping I ordered, I wouldn't expect the package to be here. So, I'm going to wait and reserve final judgement until the 20th day, which is Sunday, August 20th, when I will hopefully have my product.
EDIT: I received my product a few days ago and thought I should mention that here. The packaging on the product wasn't very good, but it arrived safely and it works. I don't see why ConsoleSource would lie about talking on the phone with me, though; we never spoke."
"I've ordered once from this site and had no problems with the shipment. I decided to order the same product a m3 adapater w/ passcard 3 from this same site pn july 19th. I noticed however that the ETA was july 21. After this date had passed i contacted them about it and they responded the next day that the ETA is changed to july 28th.It is now august 2nd and my product is still in the queued status and has no been shiped out yet. Prboably because the product isn't in stock yet. I don't think that this is the fault of Consolesource.com, rather that of the merchandise provider. Don't order from stores that don't have the product in stock. It is hard to determine when it will be in stock.
I am going to try and cancel the order"
"I ordered an item that was listed as IN STOCK on July 17th, they charged my card immediately. 2 days later, the availability was changed to ETA July 21st, no email was sent alerting me of this. It is now the 24th, they have not responded to any emails sent, their phones are "busy" every time I've called, and the availability is still isted as ETA for July 21st. They have no problem charing my card and keeping my money, however
Edit 7/25: Been trying to get a refund for two days. I've been calling (still busy), and firing off emails. I have yet to recieve any responses, or get my money back. "
"I ordered an M3 Adapter SD Card version with Passcard, for Nintendo DS, on July 12th, at the time the product said it was "In Stock". A while after I had ordered, the M3 Adapter page was updated saying "ETA July 21st, 2006". I do not know if this is due to a poor database, or after I purchased perhaps the last one in stock. If they were not in stock, I would have been notified by e-mail, correct?
I set the shipment to 3-5 day shipping, it's been 7 days, and my order remains "Queued". I am very upset due to the poor service. I have made a "ticket" on their site, July 14th, due to the order being queued. I have not had a reply yet. I have tried calling TWICE, several times on the 17th, and 18th. On the 18th, I called and the phone only beeped, there was no ringing.
I would like to have what I paid for, and I'd like to have it as soon as possible.
Edit: 07/19/06
I have tried calling just a while ago, I got the busy sound again. And it didn't say anything like the line was busy.
Edit 2: 07/20/06
Finally replied to my ticket, with this:
"The item you ordered is on backorder and is expected to ship out on July 21. Thanks."
I'm hopeing that it WILL be shipped tomorrow.
Edit 3: 07/21/06
My order still "Queued". I'm getting tired of this poor service. -.-
Edit 4: 07/22/06
Order is STILL "Queued"... I'm losing hope.
Edit 5: 07/24/06
12 days since I ordered, still "Queued"... >_>
I look at the M3 Adapter page to see it's been updated again, and now it says "ETA July 28, 2006". I'm canceling my order now... And ordering from what I've heard is a more reliable source."
"I purchased software for my PS2 from ConsoleSource.com a few weeks ago, and I am very pleased with the service. The 'Order History' part of the ConsoleSource website showed me the status of my order, and the support was very good. The product was to be shipped 5-20 days after the order, I got it 13 days after. I would definitetly buy from this reseller again."
"I purchased a 4mb psx mem card and so far have been satisfied with it. This particular card is not very popular I've found, so I appreciated the fact that consolesource had one and that I received it quickly. Even though the package was old and had several missprints, the card works fine."
"Ordered the Xenium GOLD SPice and HDADVANCE 3.0. Pricing is usually the best around the web for someone living in the US. Both items were authentic and fully operational with no problems at all. The order process was very smooth and up-to-date as well.
The only caveat with this company is that they are based in Canada, and shipping can be very slow depending on where you live (especially southern states.) My shipment was estimated at 5-20 days and took 22. This was not a huge issue for me because I understand that it is going across the country and I did use the cheapest shipping option, but other shoppers should remember to have patience as well.
Every purchase I made with them has had a definitley good product. And in the mod world, finding a decently priced and reliable store are between a rock and a hard place. I would definetly recommend to at least try the place once to everyone."
