They did not send me the tracking number for the package. I emailed them four business days after the order had been processed asking them why I had not yet received a tracking number. They never responded.
I called them many times, durring their business hours and business days. Nobody ever answered. I see that they've denied accusations on the issue of them not answering their phones many times on this site, but call them and see for yourself.
Overall, I would rate the actual transaction mediocre, seeing as how it was a little late on delivery. As for their customer service, I would rate it a zero seeing as how it is virtually nonexistant. "

"yes, It's only been 7 business days and 10 normal days since my order. However after reading some of these reviews... I am getting sort of nervous. That it might arrive damaged or come late or not even come at all.
I ordered DMS4 EZI Lite Solderless Mod Chip E.Z.I for $59.99 and the cheapest shipping possible... ($ 3.00 USPS Standard Ground 5 - 20 days) I've been waiting for it everyday and with everyday I get more nervous. It would be nice to know when it would finally arrive and what kind of guarantees I would have if the package arrived damaged. I just have one question for the buyers. Did they arrive safely? Mine is, after all, flimsy modchip. I'm not sure if it will be safe going through all the customs.
I have no real rights to complain since I decided to order using a cheap service, but my nervousness is the same nevertheless.

"I received a DMS4 EZI Pro for Xmas from my wife. The FCC cable for the diagnostic LED was missing from the package... No big deal, or so I thought, I'll just contact the company and have one sent. I first submitted a ticket to the shipping dept letting them know I needed the cable (ticket #CQF-45709), but I received no reply other than an automated response that my ticket had been received. I tried several times to call them during the week, during business hours, but the phone was either busy for 3+ hours straight, or there was no answer.
On Jan 05, 2006 I sent another message to them on that ticket, and submitted a second ticket (#CGS-39623) to their RMA dept, because the chip did not seem to be working, and I found out on the DMS forum that a bad batch of chips had been made marked "Italy", which mine was. I never received a reply to either ticket. Eventually the status of both tickets went from "open" to "closed" without any response from Consolesource. (ETA I only sent a total of 3 emails in 10 days for those 2 tickets, so I doubt I was "Flagged as spam." If so, then they SERIOUSLY need to revamp their spam blocker)
I tried calling them several more times, both their toll free and toll number, again DURING BUSINESS HOURS, but either received a busy signal for several hours straight, or no answer other than the phone company saying "Your party is not answering. Please try your call later. We're sorry but your call will now be disconnected 0414." (ETA, My phone number is blocked when I make calls, so if readers see the usual response from Consolesource that "Call logs indicate this customer was calling after hours and on weekends, thus explaining why his telephone calls were unanswered." then that is patently false.)
I can understand that their phone lines might be really busy around the holidays, but it is now over a month later, and I still can't get through.
I'm pretty disappointed at this point, I was hoping that they'd make good on this. I'm not upset that the chip isn't working, that happens sometimes. I'm just upset with the lack of customer service to resolve the problem, especially since they are listed as one of the preferred vendors on the DMS manufacturer's website.

"I have seen a lot of nuisance about console source listed on this site, and would like to address mine. When I first order my item it was listed as in stock. So I am sure that I will be consider slanderous, for now it states shipping when item arrives and that will be an issue of debate. Furthermore, for the record, I would not have ordered the item if it was not in stock. I ordered my item on 12/23/2005 it was placed in blue status meaning processed. There definition is order has been successfully processed and is awaiting shipment. I waited a week and used there ticket request system and emailed the following: My order has been processed for a week just checking when it will be shipped. Order # is 48317. Next, and I may be wrong on this piece of fact but it shortly after my order status went to yellow, which means order is queued. Console Source defines this as an order has been successfully received and is awaiting processed and shipping. I never received a response from this ticket.
I followed up with another ticket on Jan 4th it stated the following:

What really frost me and makes me upset is they charged my credit card and will not reply to any of my open tickets. I get this strange feeling that this is some boiler room somewhere out of the USA, and really doesn’t care if you get your package or not. This is the first time in my experience that someone has charged me the full amount on an item in what they may consider a pre order. It is slanderous to say this because I don’t know what they think, because they NEVER REPLY.

I have never seen a company lie like this one. This firm is definitely a SCAM.
BEFORE you buy from them, try to call their 888 number during business hours and see if you can get through. Try thier live chat, there is no one their. Send and email inquiry about their service.
In their response to me, they say I called after business hours. (My cell phone bill clearly shows the many times I tried to call them during their stated business hours).
They say their email filtered mine out as SPAM. What ligitimate firm would do that. I originally was sending 1 email a day looking for a response. Did they filter me as spam on day 1 for sending 1 email? I never received one reply to me emails or tickets. Do they filter their own tickets as SPAM?
They say I participated in 2 online chats with qualified people. There was no chat, it just closed the window and sent a "while you were out" email.
Keep in mind that this is the first I have heard from them since I placed the order on the 8th.

I am very disastified with this company as of today!
I placed my order on January 8th. The item status was "In Stock". I did not receive any emails stating my order shipped or that there was a problem. I openned a ticket on the 13th, that is not showing in their system. I then opened a ticket on the 18th, another one on the 20th, another one on the 21st and today. I have called during normal bissiness hours only to hear a message state they are not taking calls and it hangs up. I have the telephone records to prove these calls were made during working hours. I have also called after hours to see if anyone may answer. I have emailed individuals directly from a past order that went smoothly. I have emailed support several times. NO ANSWERS to any of the above tickets or emails. This is totally unacceptable.
I have even tried the button on their webpage to chat with a live person. This just send an email stating a ticket was openned and someone will get back to me. NO REPLY to any of these.
I did notice that some past posts on this site have been responded to recently. Maybe, with this bad review, I will get some service.
All the above is not being exagerated. I trully think this company has gone out of business since I cannot reach anyone by phone, email or by openning a ticket or the live chat option on their site.

"I placed an order for an in-stock item on December 22nd. After not getting a shipping confirmation within the week, I received notice that the company would not fulfill any orders until January 2nd, a fact not mentioned on their website at the time I placed my order. They had no problems charging my credit card straight away.
On the 2nd I was assured that the item was in stock and would ship out that day. My order had not yet shipped and had been downgraded from "processed" to "queued". No notice was sent to explain this change. The item I had ordered was removed from their product listing. Only after several more emails was I able to determine that the item was out of stock and never to be restocked.
Console Source offered to send me a different item, but I wanted what I had placed an order for and asked that my card be refunded so I could seek out the item elsewhere. At this point, they stopped communicating with me. I followed the steps on their site for submitting a formal order cancelation. This request was ignored. I was only able to get my money back after contacting my credit card company and disputing the charges.
I dealt with unfulfilled promises, unannounced store closings, and unanswered communications. Their toll-free phone number rings busy 24/7. I don't care how good a deal they offer you -- it's not worth it to deal with this company.
EDIT: I see that Console Source makes it a habit to refute unsatisfied customers's claims on this site. While it is their right to offer corrections to libelous claims, I take offense at the insulting manner they attempt to respond with. I have written nothing but a factual account of my experiences with them in this review. I challenge them to dispute these claims:
I received an email acknowledgement of my order on December 22nd. This email read, and I quote, "Your order will be processed within 24 hours and shipped accordingly."
I submitted a trouble ticket on Dec. 27 reading "I'd like to check on the stattus of my order, number 48286. I placed it last Thursday and it looks like it hasn't shipped yet. The item is listed as being in stock - is there a problem with my payment information or other reason it's still listed as processed, awaiting shipping?". I received no response.
On the 28th, six days after my order, I received an email informing me "ConsoleSource.com will continue to accept orders
24 hours a day at http://www.consolesource.com over the holiday season however
shipping will not commence until January 2, 2006."
I submitted a trouble ticket on Jan. 2 reading "I see now that the order has changed from "processed, awaiting shipping" to "queued, awaiting shipping and processing". Isn't that moving a step backwards in the order process?"
I used the Live Chat feature on the 2nd and was informed my order would ship out that same day. When it had not shipped, I logged on to Live Chat again and asked the operator to cancel the order.
On the 4th, a representative emailed me offering to send me a different item from what I had ordered and paid for two weeks prior. I told him that would not be acceptable and to cancel my order. I received no response.
That same day I submitted a cancelation request, as per the instructions at http://www.consolesource.com/support/index.php?_a=knowledgebase&_j=questiondetails&_i=9 reading "I'd like to confirm that order #48286 has been canceled. Using your LiveChat feature, [a representative] was able to take my cancellation request, but I still see the order as "queued" on my account status page. Can you please confirm the cancellation and refund my credit card?
As the item I was charged for is no longer in stock and is now discontinued, I don't expect to pay your 5% cancellation fee, as the reasons for the cancellation are all on ConsoleSource's end. Thank you."
I closed all existing tickets except for the cancellation request. I have received no further communication from Console Source.
These are the facts regarding my order. I can appreciate that they ran out of stock before updating their website, but that doesn't excuse the manipulative and unprofessional manner in which I was thereafter treated.
SECOND EDIT:
I dispute the response "At this point, the customer had also disputed the charges with his credit card issuer. Currently, this customer has received an entire refund for his purchase and has received an additional refund, for which ConsoleSource.com was charged, from his credit card issuer."
Console Source made NO effort to refund my card after I properly canceled my order, per their instructions. My bank credited me for the disputed charge on the 10th. CS's credit occurred on the 24th, only AFTER they saw my negative review on this site. At the same time they finally updated my order status on their website, OVER 20 DAYS AFTER CANCELLING. I have no desire to receive two credits for the charge, and question CS's accounting practices that led to this."

"Where to start!
First off I would like to say that this was a gift to me from my mother for xmas.
I submitted a trouble ticket to consolesource on 12-31-05, as of 5'th of this month there had been no reply to the ticket, so I tried their online support, the lady said that she would look into the problem and have consolesource email me back. It is now 5 days later. As of 1-10-06 I have yet to recive any form of contact from consolesource. Posting here with my dissatisfaction is a last resort, seeing as there are almost immediant replies to problems here.
